This is the story I submitted for an english assingment.

Kain is deified, the Clans tell tales of him. Few know the truth. He was mortal once, as were we all. However, his contempt for humanity drove him to create me and my Brethren.

I am Dracul, first-born of his Leuitenants. I stood with Kain and my Brethren at the dawn of the Empire. I have served him a millenia. Over time, we became less human, and more... divine. Kain would enter the state of change and emerge with a new gift. Some years after the Master, our evolution would follow. Until I had the honour of surpassing my Lord. I walked into his court and knelt before him raising my new wings for everyone to see. His eyes went wide and he licked his fangs as he rose. Kain walked toward me lifted his clawed hand to my wings and inspected the tissue spread between the bones. He let his hands rest on the radius bone of each wing. I learned for my transgression, that I had earned a new kind of reward ... agony, as he tore the bones from my body leaving only threads of dangling flesh clinging to my back. There was to be no dungeon for me, I expected a hell far worse. There was only one possible outcome. My eternal damnation. I, Dracul, was to suffer the fate of traitors and weaklings, burned forever in the bowells of the Lake of the Dead. Two of my brethren, Malchia and Morlock, dragged me to the outlook over the lake and cut my bounds. Kain kicked my disorientated corpse once and I fell. Clinging to the edge of the stone walk, I pleaded with him to let me live. In knowing Kain I knew he saw a weakness in begging but my mind had left me. He commanded Dumah and Rahab to cast the prisoner in and they did what they were told. The rats. The water took me.

Falling, burning with white-hot fire, I plunged into the depths of the Abyss. Unspeakable pain, relentless agony, my soul screamed. Time ceased to exist, only this torture, and a deepening hatred of the hypocrisy that damned me to this hell. An eternity passed, and my torment receded, bringing me back from the precipace of madness. The descent had destroyed me. And yet, I lived. I awoke in the darkness of the bottomless pit. The remnants of my wing gave no hope of flying back to the top of this prison. I knew not how many years had past but one thing was for sure, I would make their pain far worse than mine before they died.
