Appearence: Bette is considered to be short and well rounded. Though a stern captain, she nearly always wears a smile. Her clothing consists of a red captain’s coat and black slacks. The jacket is decorated with gold medals and tassles on the shoulders. Three golden loops cross over the middle of the jacket and act as buttons. Beneath the jacket she wears a simple, black shirt. She carries a black cane topped with a golden orb at her side. The cane does nothing more than look nice. Her black sailing boots reach up to her knees and usually go over her pants to keep the edges dry and clean. Her hair is kept cut short around her shoulders. The natural waves curl around her cheeks and eyes, giving her an almost mysterious look.

Personality: Bette is a fun character. She can change moods at the drop of a hat though usually is very serious when captaining her ship. The Rising Dragon is her pride and joy and she treats it as such. Though considered too old to be of any use, Bette’s stubborn nature refuses to let her give up that easily. She can be overbearing and pushy at times and always speaks her mind (though her mind isn’t always the nicest thing to listen to). Bette is very energetic and happy. Her laughter is easily heard wherever she goes and usually carries a good mood with it. She can be very successful should she put her mind to it (and she does) but is sometimes too stubborn to try a change. Some praise her for this stick-to-itiveness and others hate it. Either way, Bette is easy to get along with but once an enemy is made, her tongue is sharp and quick.
