Shards Rules
It is your responsibility as a player to keep up to date to our rules. We, at this time, do not give a grievance period when rules are updated. You must follow all rules at all times. We will not forstand a statement of 'I didn't know that rule was changed.' READ AT ALL TIMES!

1) Player Conduct
Pick a role-playing name for your characters. "FrillyPinkElephant", "CoolDood23", and "Gangsta B" are not good names. If you are having problems coming up with a name, page and the staff will help you with one, going off of your race

This is a RP Shard. Role Playing IS enforced. We do not expect you to talk and act like the npc's of the world, by using only old english. But proper role play of your char's class / race / aliinment IS expected.  Out Of Character (OOC) discussions, the use of modern and net slang and terminology shall all be avoided as much as possible. Rewards have been know to be given for good roleplaying.
ONLY place OOC talk should be used, is in the ooc chat channel. or when talking to members of the staff,

Offensive behavior including slurs, profanity, and harassment are grounds for banning after one warning. This shard is here for our enjoyment, and if your actions, words or attitude are preventing the purpose of this shard for even one other person, you will be confronted on the issue or banned. It is not difficult to honor others in an atmosphere of mutual enjoyment and role-play.

1b) Staff Conduct
Staff members will not show themselfs unless it is needed. But when we do show up it is for a reason. Be it someone paged us, someone messed up / is messing up, we hear there is a problem (yes we hear EVERYTHING said at all times), and in very rare cases we have a new item that may need testing from the players side. So when we do show up, in order to keep things running fast and smooth, when you see us, stop what your doing, see what we are there for, and let us do our job and get underway again. This dose not mean to come running over and start spaming the staffer with questons and comments. It's not that we are being rude or that we don't care about our players, it's just that we have so much to do in the time we have on. And need to get things done as fast as we can to keep the game running smooth for everyone. as well as making and adding new items, npc's, monsters ect.

From time to time we might wonder around just for the reason of getting feed back from the players, answering a few questions, and chating. but when that happens the staffer will be taged as off duty so everyone, even the other staffers, knows.

2) PVP:
PVP is allowed between good and evil chars, AS long as it is done in a role playing way. IE: You don't just attack them bcause their paper doll says they are evil. It just means that if you see Joe, the evil human warrior. Unless he shows good reason to, you can not just walk up to him and out right attack him. Just because his paper doll shows that he is evil. Or that his name shows in a different color then blue. Also remember that knolage between your chars is not shared knolage. IE: Joe the evil warrior attacks and kills your good elfen mage. So you switch to your good dwarfen warrior and go hunt joe down and get revenge. Your warrior would not have known about your mages death. Read on Role Play and Multi Chars for more on this.

Attacking DNA is strictly prohibited. Unless they are helping in the battle, by healing the one you are attacking, or attack you first. Please use some common sence when dealing with  DNA chars. If you are out hunting with them and they cast an area spell and you happen to be in the wrong place and get hit. TAB OUT of the fight. Accidents DO HAPPEN. Only exction to this would be  thiefs AS LONG AS YOU CATCH THEM STEALING. This does not mean that you see the item disapear from your pack. But you get the message "you catch so and so trying to steal such and such from YOU".  NOT other players

PVP in the newbie dungeon, the post office, and around any bank is prohibited.

LOOTING OF PLAYER CORPSES
all is lootable except for keys and deeds. Yes, they are newbied, BUT.......if they are placed in a bag in your pack or on a key ring, they will be left on your corpse. So if you happen to get them off a body, find the owner and GIVE THEM BACK

3)Macroing
Attended macroing is allowed, but only in areas where you will not be annoying others. Also please use an appropriate program for macroing.

Unattended macroing is no longer allowed. There is an auto anti maco program that will catch you. At first, a dialog will pop up asking the player to answer a simple math problem. If the player fails to respond within 3 minutes, a dragon will pop up and ask a different problem. If the player fails to respond to the dragon within 2 minutes, the dragon will kill the player, penalize and LOCK the player's skill, and take all of the player's items. If caught to many times the system will find your highest skill and lower it by 25% each time. if caught to many more times it will lower the highest skill my 50% each time

4) You are NOT allowed to ask for items, or skills. Doing so will cause you to be jailed for at least 12 hours.

5) Exploiters of bugs found in the game will be jailed.  If you find a bug and fail to report it, you run the risk of being punished when it is discovered.  Players love to gossip and GM's listen, so you will get caught, so don't run the risk of jail or banning. You will also be stuck with a special tag over your chars head, letting everyone know you are a cheat.

6) You may not "place" a house/guild stones/vendors anywhere inside a town or guarded area. Unless otherwause ok'ed by the Admin/Co Admin of the shard. In this case you will be giving the proper papers to do so. You will need to show these papers if asked. Failure to do so will result in the guild stone/house/vendor to be deleted.

Note on houses. They do have a decay time so make sure you refresh them by using the option to do so on the houses sign. You can have a friend "babysit" your house and refresh it for you.

7) DUPING IS NOT ALLOWED! GET CAUGHT AND YOU'RE GONE! It's just that simple. Immedate ban for breaking this rule.

8) You must not scam or deceive other players. Lieing to other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of the game. Your account will be deleted if caught

9) Sexually-harassing, threatening, stalking, or otherwise harassing others is not only against the rules, but it's also illegal, and may result in legal action being taken against you.

10) Each account should only be used by ONE person. Account sharing is NOT allowed. You must not sell, transfer, share, or lend your account to anyone else. You may not accept an account which somebody else offers you.

11) You may create more than one char, but if you do, you may not log in more than one char at any time, and they must not interact with each other in any way. Using one account to drop objects for transfer to another of your chars, Sharing homes for macroing, ect is not allowed. Also what one chars knows the others you have may not, As shown above in the pvp example. Point blank, unles your other char was there to see it, which they shouldn't have been if it is about something that happened to another char of yours. THEY DO NOT KNOW ABOUT IT. Unles told by someone else later. This does not mean that if joe the evil warrior kills your good elven mage you can run to town and say to a friend. "Hey, I just got killed by joe the evil warrior. I'm going to log in with my tier 5 warrior and kick is ass. Could you tell him what happened so he can do this."  First off, your tier 5 warrior would not know your elven mage. And unless he ran around hunting down everyone that killed someone. He would not care that the elven mage was killed. And thus would not go out on a revenge hunt.

12) Artisans
Are set up so they can not attack or be attacked now. This is not a bug, it was set up that way for a reason. This will mean that they will  need to hire npc's or players to kill for them in order to get items they need if they don't want to buy them, such as leather. Artisans that are caught taking advantage of this to get things that would normaly cost a player to fight to get it, being used as "bait" to get monsters to target them and not others while the others kill from safty, running through and past monsters to "recover someones body", ect can and will, without warning, get the Artisan to be jailed and have their class changed to that of a monk. This is not to say the Artisan can't follow a figher / hunting party and grab what loot the party didn't want, or even heal (with bandaids and healing fires). As long as they keep back where it's "safe" and in the case of a monster spawning by them, keep away from it as best they can.

Yes I know, this make them sound boring to run, but there have been (and will be more) items added to the world that only they can use. Or things only they can do. Such as adding dragon teeth to items, taking some of the magic fish and making them into potions, so on.
