Sam and I both wish to salute all the heroes involved in this tragedy...all the people in NY...the people on the planes...the people in the WTC...It's a terrible thing that's happened, and it can't fail to effect every last American...
But do not forget our friends overseas. I want to thank everyone in the world who has lent support to this cause and backed a grieving, shocked nation in its time of need...

Oh hush Faz. Dragonsong12 here, this page, Sam's lair, is a new addition to my little home here. It seems to me that this country has gotten awful cynical about itself recently. I figured the over-patriotism of someone like Sam would balance it out a bit.

Right, well, anyway, as I said, cynicism has become fashionable in this country, and I think that's a real shame. While perhaps we shouldn't all be as zealous as Sam here, he has true pride in his country and perhaps that is a model that people need, as exaggerated as it is. Sure, this country has its problems, what country doesn't? but it's still a good place to live, and I often think that if the people here would just quit complaining about the problems that they see and take some pride in their land to fix them, perhaps the problems woulnd't exist at all.
Some food for thought, anyway ;)
