COMMENTS: Two other video tapers can be seen. Since the other video tapers can be seen working together at times, it is possible that their videos were taped to be edited together into a professional video. "Polly" cuts in on all copies. After "Negative Creep," the band jams on "Libido" by Naked Raygun and "Wild Thing" by The Troggs. A very important video in the history of Nirvana, as this was the show where the band debuted Smells Like Teen Spirit, which is different than what was released. Nothing really notable about the show other than that. Generally well shot footage of the band, though the taper is a few rows back, which signals the start of things to come. Tapers either have to fight the crowds, or be more discreet taping. There are some good shots of Dave and Krist who would often be ignored on the videos in favor of Kurt, once the band became famous. The low generation copies are missing the clip of the Pennyroyal Tea soundcheck.

COMMENTS: This is a really cool video because it was shot from on stage by someone known to the band. The taper even asks Dave about one of his tattoo's at one point. The quality is pretty good, although the picture could be sharper. The video has nice shots of Dave and Kurt, but since it was shot essentially from behind Krist, we often only see his back. Usually the shot is from head to toe, but sometimes there are some nice close ups of Kurt. This video is infamous because it is the show where Kurt gets into the fight with the bouncer. Kurt was having problems with his guitar, and in frustration, slammed his guitar into the soundboard a couple of times. The soundboard belonged to the bouncer's friend. Later in the show, Kurt dives, with his guitar, onto the crowd. When he attempts to get back on stage, the bouncer grabs him, and keeps him from getting back on stage, while hitting him. Kurt nails the bouncer in the head with his guitar. While the bouncer is stunned, Kurt manages to get back on stage. The bouncer recovers, and hits Kurt in the back of the head. Kurt falls to the floor, and curls up to try to protect himself. The bouncer tries to kick him, while Krist drops his bass and Dave jumps over the drums to come to Kurts assistance. Krist gets in between Kurt and the bouncer, who is bleeding profusely from the skull. Krist is trying to calm down the bouncer, who wants to beat the crap out of Kurt. Taking off his shirt, Krist tries to mop the blood from the bouncers head, but the bouncer pushes him away. The other bouncers manage to get the bloody guy off the stage, while the crowd is impatient for the show to go on.

COMMENTS: This video is shot from the front, apparently from the balcony. The camera work is a bit shakey at times, but overall is good. Once in awhile there are some heads in the way, but usually the view is unobstructed. The sound is okay, but as with most videos, the bass can not really be heard. The stage is pretty small, and usually is fairly dark, except for where ever the spotlight is pointing (which is usually on Kurt). The set list for this show is very interesting. Talk to Me, Curmudgeon and Oh the Guilt were rarely played live. Also an early performance of Where Did You Sleep Last Night is played. The band is in a pretty good mood. They do a hilarious, short cover of The End (by the Doors). Krist does most of the singing, changing the lyrics into a song about Belgian waffles - "the killer woke up in Belgium.. and he put alot of syrup on his waffles". If you know the song, it makes the parody funnier. On a Plain stops after the first chorus. It's hard to tell why, but Kurt stops playing and walks over to Krist. At this point, the camera pans up to the ceiling. You can hear the crowd start yelling, and when the view is back on the stage, we can see Kurts guitar is in the audience. Krist also does a short rant about Michael Landon, church, and a few other things right before Talk to Me. Krist plays the drums during Where Did You Sleep Last Night, while Dave lies on the floor and plays bass. Near the end of the song, Dave walks over to Kurt, dumps water over his head, and walks away. Kurt follows Dave, who grabs him and tried to pick him up. But he ends up just knocking Kurt over. He then sits down on the stage with Kurt. Then Dave gets up and heads to the left side of the stage, while Kurt throws his guitar at him. At this point, Krist stands up behind the drums and starts taking off his shirt. Kurt and Dave wave to the crowd and start to leave. As the lights start to dim, Krist comes out from behind the drums, and drops his pants. He does manage to pull up his boxer shorts before the lights come back on. The band comes out to do one more song. When they finish playing, they start to destroy their equipment. Kurt and Krist decide to smash their guitars together. They do this a few times before a piece goes flying off Kurts guitar. Then Kurt decides to run across the stage and ram the neck of the guitar into the amps. After tiring of this, he finally smashes his guitar on the floor, breaking off the neck. The crowd starts shouting as Kurt walks over to the edge of the stage, holding the body of the guitar out to the crowd. They grab it, but Kurt tries to hold onto his guitar strap. Someone in the crowd is furiously tugging on it, and the strap is pulled from Kurts hands. Krist starts playing the drums again, and keeps playing until Kurt jumps up on the drum riser to dump water on him. This ends the show, except a woman in a red dress who appears to be Courtney Love runs over to the mic and shouts something into it.
