SILENCE IN THE DEEP

Written ~February 2000)

The eyes of freaks are watching me
Hidden behind folds of obscurity
Whiskers and feelers and blowholes
They cannot recover what the others stole

My genious and beauty
Now mean shit to me
As I flounder down here like a buffoon
With these wretched creatures and their blissful gloom

Living life underwater
Is like running in place
And as for my kind
We're better off in space
Drowning

The freaks don't want me here
Waste and spills, cans of beer
Decaying throughout their remaining land
The result of cocky and careless man
Bleeding their life away with our own hands
They lack to power to take a stand

Oh how powerful we are
To kill and hunt
To descecrate and maul
To uproot and murder
Trees for malls

With pity I take leave
They are glad to see me go
For they do not want me to see
The cessation of their fragile existance

Survival of the fittest
How it ought to be
But lazy and concieted man
Found a way to cheat

Trees raped of their beauty
Once for necessity
And now for the sake of geometry

Living life underwater
Is like running in place
And as for my kind
We're better off in space
Suffocating

Earth rots, we don't look back
We fly away, another planet to attack
