"I want them found!" They lost...
"I don't get it." Karai grumbled.
"What?" Plotmon asked. They were back on the planet's surface. Jon was inside talking with his superior about being able to stay on Earth a little longer. Karai didn't mind, and Plotmon liked running around in the fresh air. Starfleet grounds were still very pretty, despite all the buildings and people. The two friends liked it because it reminded them of the better days in the Digital World.
"This message I got from Dai-chan. She said she would come here cause we needed to talk, but Kat-chan said we were supposed to forget each other existed. Kat-chan would be pissed if she knew."
"Maybe Kat-chan is allowing it."
"I doubt it."
"Doubt what?" Dai's voice asked from behind her.
"Dai-chan!!" The two cried happily. Dai and Karai hugged.
"Hey. I missed you." Dai said sadly.
"What's wrong?" Karai asked, worried.
"Well! We aren't leaving for a while yet!" Jon said as he walked towards them. Then he saw Dai. "Hello." He turned to Karai. "A friend of yours?"
Karai nodded. "Jon, this is my friend, Daiho Iroi, or Dai for short. Dai, this is Captain Jonathan Archer, or Jon." She looked at Dai again. "Where's Mushmon?"
"Here." Blomon said from the bag on Dai's back.
"Oh. You reverted." She glared at Dai. "Kat-chan is gonna kill you when she learns you're here." She said.
"Karai..." Dai tried.
"You know she said that you shouldn't leave the world you were on."
"Karai-chan..." Dai tried again.
"What would she say if..."
"Karai!" Dai shouted.
"What?" Karai finally asked.
"Rou-chan's dead, so is Mel-chan." Dai said.
Karai stared at her. "Ka-kami-sama..." She started crying. "Please, tell me you're lying..."
"Kat-chan went and got Mel-chan's crests after she died. Rou-chan called her, and was killed in the process."
"Who..." Karai asked, knowing the answer.
"Demon." Dai said angrily.
Karai shoke her head. "I-I-I need to be alone..." She ran down the path.
"Karai..." Jon tried going after her but Dai stopped him.
"Don't. She needs some time by herself."
"Who are the two who are dead?" He asked.
"Rou-chan, her brother, and Mel-chan, who's she shunned when Mel-chan first joined our group. She's upset, anyone would be."
"Then, usually people need comfort after someone who was close to them dies." Jon tried.
"Most people aren't trying to protect a whole world, more than just one, and have lost over fifty friends and family members all at once." Dai shoke her head. "And she still doesn't know the worst of it."
"Which is?"
"Demon is getting bolder. He's now gone after all the resistance forces back home, including her mom and dad, which means she now has no one but us as her family. We're already losing, and we haven't even joined the battle. Not to mention Demon knowing where each and every one of us are now."
"But, if he knows were we are, why hasn't he come and got any of us?" Plotmon asked.
"He hasn't the technology to travel from universe to universe yet. He's working on it, but he's still lost as to how it works. When he killed our friends, he lost the technology we have. No one knows where it went when they died."
"So, we're still safe."
"To a certain degree. He can tap into the computers and make his face appear on it. He can speak with you through that. He was able to almost kill Kat-chan through Mel-chan's Crest of Darkness. I crushed the crest when I found it, and last I knew she was fine. She'll have a scar or two to remember that incident."
"Your poor friend." Jon simpathized.
Dai shook her head. "Kat-chan is more than just a friend. She's our leader, and the one we look up to. Although she was one of the last to get her Digimon friend, she has a solid head on her shoulders, and a will to survive." Dai shook her head. "She lost her brother and father at the same time as the other Digidestined. Now she's lost her twin sister too. Her mother is the only other one in her family still alive, other than maybe her grandparents, and we aren't sure any of them are still alive. My parents, my birth parents, are still alive and so are my brother and sister, of my adoptive family. Karai-chan has her parents still around, not to mention her grandparents on both sides. Traina-chan, has no one except us, but she's no leader."
"She could be one, if she tried." Blomon pointed out.
"Hai, she could. But her time in the World of Darkness, as a slave, has taught her caution."
"But, Mel-chan spent most of her life there too..." Plotmon argued.
"And turned out the exact opposite. I know." She sighed. "I guess it was Mel-chan's position, not to mention her hope in Catmon, and her connection to her real family, that kept her going. She didn't know her real family or where they were at the time. She's so much more like Kat-chan."
"It's because they're twins." Karai said from the path she had disappeared on. Her eyes were red and swollen, like she had been crying, and there were tear streaks down her face. Her uniform was rumpled and her hair a mess. "I-I'm sorry for running off like that. I-I-I..." She looked at her feet. Then she looked back up, her eyes flaring with a new type of anger. "He will pay. I'll make Him pay!"
"I won't say I'm happy for you, but nor can I tell you you're being too rash. I would suggest getting in contact with Kat-chan ASAP. Give me your computer so I can put in her address. You don't have to go there, but I can make it so you can see here on the computer when you talk to her. If you want, I can give you my and Traina-chan's addresses so you can talk when you need to. I'm gonna go to Traina-chan's next."
Karai handed over the laptop. "Sure. I'd like that. How'd you get to be our computer genius?"
"Just lucky I guess." Dai said.
"Or something like that." Karai laughed.
"Hai." Her face fell. "I should warn ya, you may end up getting a call from Him. He's been calling each of us at different points in time. I'm guessing it's to piss us off, but I think he also wants to see that we haven't gotten too far and wants to keep tabs on us. Don't let Him know how much help you've gotten, it may put us at an advantage. Also, keep an eye out for any of us. We may come and join you if He does find a way to travel." Dai warned.
"Okay." Karai agreed.
Dai fiddled with the computer some, then gave it back. "If it'll make you feel any better, Kat-chan has a message for you from Rou-chan, and I saw your parents when I went back home to see if I could help Rou-chan."
"You knew what was happening?!" Karai cried.
"Sort of. He was planning on getting all the info out of Rou-chan He could, but Rou-chan ruined His plans at the last moment by saying something, when he was talking to Kat-chan, that pissed Him off so badly He just stabbed Rou-chan in the back. None off us could have done anything to save him, Karai-chan. Gomen nasai. Anyway, I was having problems contacting you at the time." Dai explained.
"I-I understand. I-I-I wish there had been some way... Some way to stop this from happening."
"We all do. We all do." She sighed. "Give me a hug. I need to go."
Karai nodded and gave her best friend since first grade a hug. "Arigatou. I-I guess you coming here, has helped me some. I'll miss you."
"So, now you can call me at any time!" Dai reminded her.
"Then be expecting a call!" Karai laughed.
"I will." Dai nodded and opened her computer.
Dai, Karai, Blomon, and Plotmon said their motto together. "We will survive!" Dai disappeared in a flash of light.
Karai smiled sadly. "And we will win. Nothing will keep us from winning. Not this time."
Jon put his hand on her shoulder. "I know one thing."
Karai looked at him. "And what would that be?"
"You and your group don't lack courage."
"I guess that's true. We may have lost the Digidestined who held Courage, but we never really lost him, in a way." She gasped. "I... I think I know how we survived the last time!"
"How?" Plotmon asked. Jon watched her.
"We were all holding hands, and Kat-chan's crest saved us! Remember how it saved Mel-chan?"
"Maybe, just maybe, she can save the others." Plotmon caught on.
"She'd have to have two bodies..." Karai trailed off. "I'll call her. Maybe she'll have a way."
"Let's do that inside. People would find it odd if you were talking with someone on a computer." Jon warned.
Karai nodded. "Then you can lead the way."
And he did! They went in to a small room which was meant for private use. {Not a bathroom!} They both sat at different chairs and Karai put her laptop on the table. Plotmon hopped up on the table and sat to the side of the computer. Karai hit the button for Kat's address.
Kat's face filled the screen. "Konnichi wa. Karai-chan! I've not seen you since we split up!"
"Quit acting like a baka, Kat-chan." Karai grumbled. "I see through your mask."
Kat waved her hand at someone in the room and her face fell. "I've a message for you, from Rou-chan."
Karai nodded. "I know."
"You've been talking to Dai-chan." Kat said with a small smile. "He asked me to tell you that he loves you. He also said that we shouldn't ever give up. Mel-chan agrees with him."
Karai frowned. "You act like Mel-chan's still alive."
Kat laughed. "She is, in our hearts! Same with Rou-chan!" Her smile faded. "Anyway, I can still talk to Mel-chan, when she's awake."
"Wh-What?!" Karai stuttered.
"As Dea-sama explained it to Mel-chan, because we're twins, and most twins have a connection through more than their blood and family. Most twins also have a connection through their hearts, which would explain why I knew when Mel-chan died, although we were worlds apart at the time."
"Kat-chan?" Karai asked.
Kat gave her a look. "What?"
"Is it possible that we could speak with the others through you and Mel-chan?"
Kat sighed. "No doubt, when Mel-chan wakes up again." She warned. She looked at Karai oddly. "I rememeber Dea-sama telling Mel-chan that if you and Rou-chan really try, you may be able to connect."
"What!? How?"
"Because you are closer than most normal brothers and sisters, you should be able to connect." Kat said.
"Now that I think about it... Kat-chan, I think I know a way to bring the others back." Karai said.
Kat looked like she had just been struck by lightening. "How?" She whispered.
"Through you. You have the Crest of Life, after all. It's helped us at least twice now."
"I-I... Wow. Good thinking. There's only one problem, I need to be in contact with the body."
"If you don't mind." Jon broke in.
"Oh! Kat-chan, this is Jon. He's my part of the rebellion."
Kat giggled. "I hope you are working to get still more."
Karai sighed. "I'm working on it! What is it, Jon?"
"I think, if you find another body that's compatible with the spirit of the dead person, you can bring them back into that body."
Kat burst into laughter. "That's a good idea. How come I can't ever come up with ideas like that?!"
"Because your job is to lead us, not be the brains." Catmon grumbled.
"That's it!" Kat cried.
"What?" The others asked.
"Catmon! Mel's spirit can join you! I'll need the other's Digimon too..."
"The original twelve's pairs were in the Digital World." Karai remembered.
"Hai... It's our group I'm wondering about, not to mention getting the original Digimon."
"Our group is gonna be tough. Tell Mel-chan to bring up that problem. One of us can go to the Digital World to get the other Digimon."
"Are you voluteering?" Kat asked.
"If I can leave Plotmon with you." Karai said sadly.
"Why?!" Plotmon asked.
"So if this fails and He catches her, she can come back in you." Kat explained.
"And I can get others here to help while you are gone." Jon suggested.
Karai nodded. "Then it's decided, I'm going. Tell the others for me."
"Will do. I'll be waiting for you."
"I'll be waiting to come. I can try and find any of the other's Digimon, even Bakumon, while I'm there. I think I remember hearing about how Digimon are reborn in an egg after they are killed."
"And I don't remember Mel-chan saying anything about the other Digmon being up there." Kat said, getting excited.
"We may be able to pull this off!" Katmon said happily.
Kat smiled sadly. "That's what I'm afraid of."
"I'll be there shortly." Karai said.
Kat nodded. "I'll be waiting."
Karai smiled and broke the connection. She looked at Jon and Plotmon. "I can't believe I'm doing this. I just know I have to." She shook her head. "I'll be back. I'll come back for you and anyone else you may get, okay, Jon?"
Jon nodded. "Okay."
Karai smiled and stood. Jon stood too and gave her a hug which surprised her. She turned to her computer, ring out. This time Jon joined her in saying their motto. "We will survive!!" Then she and her Digimon were gone. Jon walked out of the room alone.
"Jonathan! There you are! I need to speak with you!" One of his superiors called.
Jon nodded. A tear rolled down his face. He hadn't realized how much Karai's friendship had meant to him until she was gone. *Just come back...* He thought as the man pulled him back into the room he had just left.

Awwwwwww... So cute!!
"He's looking for us." And they get another chance.
"They are no more than children!" He wants them dead...
"We are ageless." Just like the other Digidestined.
"One boy, five girls." They want to survive...
"We have to split up." To get their revenge.
"Another child died tonight..." The world....
"We have to hide our computers, our rings, and our Digimon." Wants Freedom...
"The Digikids are still on the loose..." But Freedom is now gone.
"Change your name..." They must hide...
"We will search every house if we must!" Or die.
"Change your looks..." The worlds once again depend on them.
"The Digikids stand against Demon..." They are the only Digidestined left...
"We are alone." And they know it.
"Check their backgrounds!" They are called by the world...
"I am no longer Kat, and I can't be Mel..." The Digikids.
"Chase them down!" They call themselves...
"We don't know where each other is going, or their name..." Watchers...
"Thirty-two died today..." Digimon Watchers.
"Start a rebellion, but keep it a secret." The worlds need to protect them...
"They must die!" But how do you protect your leader's enemies...
"We must live!" When anyone could be one of his men...
"Get her!" And they don't trust a soul...
"We'll meet again..." Not even each other.
"Demon has one Digikid..." One battle has been lost...
"We don't know anything..." Bringing on the war...
"Keep her alive, for now." That their enemy believes he's won.
"Don't go after another if they've been caught..." But he doesn't seem to understand...
What it means to win a battle, and leave the war in Fate's hands...
Their pasts are hidden. Demon knows them. He wants their blood. They are known to the world as the Digikids. They want revenge. It's six against one, and Demon's winning...

It looks like we haven't lost anyone yet! Maybe we still have twenty-four 'Destined, not to mention those they've gathered. Talk about lucky!! {Note: Karai and I came up with the idea of the others coming back at the same time. It was by mere chance. ^_~}
Ja ne!
