| Overlooking the Atlantic and well situated for bootlegging, the swampy bank of the intercoastal waterway was home to the Wendells for over sixty years. Squatters since Prohibition, they were thrown out of their paradise during the Reagan era to satisfy greedy developers. Howard and Raebae Wendell were last known to be living in an abandoned school bus in Alabama. The Wendells lost paradise and the city of Dania, Florida lost it's soul. |
