Θεατρικό Εικαστικό Καλλιτεχνικό Κέντρο

Το Θεατρικό Εικαστικό Καλλιτεχνικό Κέντρο (Θ.Ει.Κ.Κ.), ιδιαιτέρως γνωστό στο χώρο της δραματικής παιδείας με το όνομα «Πούπουλο», δημιουργήθηκε το 1984 από τη Ρίτα Πουταχίδου, με στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός αυτόνομου καλλιτεχνικού φορέα, ανοιχτού σε όλες τις θεατρικές φόρμες έκφρασης και πειραματισμού, δίνοντας ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στα παιδιά τους εφήβους και τους νέους.

Αρχικά, φιλοξενήθηκε στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο του Δήμου Αμπελοκήπων, ενώ από το 1988 εγκαταστάθηκε στο δικό του χώρο, στο κέντρο της πόλης, στην οδό Βελισσαρίου 35, όπου συνεχίζει να δημιουργεί έως σήμερα.

Πολλοί είναι οι καλλιτέχνες και οι ειδικοί συνεργάτες που πλαισίωσαν και βοήθησαν με τις γνώσεις και τις εμπειρίες τους τις προσπάθειες του συλλόγου.
Μεταξύ άλλων μπορούμε να αναφέρουμε τους :

- Άννα Γιαννακίδου, Μαρία Πασχαλίδου, Δώρα Καραθανάση, Θεόφιλο Λάλο – Ηθοποιοί
- Ευαγγελία Μοβσεσιάν, Κατερίνα Κουλακιώτη, Άννα-Μαρία Αγγελίδου – Ζωγράφοι-Σκηνογράφοι
- Δημήτρη Μαρκατόπουλο, Ιάκωβο Κονιτόπουλο, Ηλία Κηπουρό – Μουσικοί
- Αντιγόνη Σαρουλάκη – Χορογράφος
- Γιώργο Ζηγκόπη, Φώτη Χατζημιχαηλίδη – Τεχνικοί και Φωτιστές θεάτρου

Αργότερα, προστέθηκαν στους βασικούς συντελεστές του συλλόγου, άνθρωποι που, ξεκινώντας από τα τμήματά του, ολοκλήρωσαν τις σπουδές τους (σε ελληνικά και ξένα πανεπιστήμια και δραματικές σχολές) και επέστρεψαν στο χώρο που τους προσέφερε τα πρώτα τους ερεθίσματα για την τέχνη της Δραματικής παιδείας, ώστε να τον εμπλουτίσουν και να τον εξελίξουν σε ένα ενεργό πυρήνα.
Μερικοί από αυτούς είναι οι :
Κώστας Αμοιρόπουλος, Μελίνα Αποστολίδου, Λία Δαμιανάκη, Χριστίνα Ζουρίδου, Ηλίας Γεράκης, Ηλία Κατερίνα, Νίκος Ντάνος, Βάια Παρασκευά, Γιάννης Πουταχίδης, Νίκος Ράπτης, Μαρίσα Τριανταφυλλίδου, Θεόδωρος Τσακιρίδης, Σιμέλα Χατζητζίβα.

Στην 17χρονη πορεία του, το Πούπουλο ανέπτυξε ένα μεγάλο φάσμα δραστηριοτήτων μένοντας πιστό στον αρχικό του σκοπό. Έτσι δημιουργήθηκαν διάφορα τμήματα που στόχο έχουν την αποτελεσματικότερη οργάνωση και προώθηση της δουλειά του.
Πιο αναλυτικά :

- Το Εκπαιδευτικό Τμήμα / Κέντρο Εκπαιδευτικού Δράματος ασχολείται :
i) με τη διοργάνωση και την προώθηση διαφόρων κύκλων σεμιναρίων, που σχετίζονται με το Εκπαιδευτικό Δράμα και τις εφαρμογές του, την Δραματική Τέχνη και τον τομέα των Καλλών Τεχνών. Τα σεμινάρια που προτείνουμε είναι ολιγομελή και απευθύνονται τόσο σε εκπαιδευτικούς όσο και σε καλλιτέχνες
ii) με το συντονισμό τμημάτων δημιουργικής απασχόλησης μέσω του Δράματος σε σχολεία, Δήμους και κατασκηνώσεις.

- Το Εργαστήρι Πούπουλο είναι το τμήμα που ασχολείται με τη διοργάνωση και λειτουργία τμημάτων Εκπαιδευτικού Δράματος για παιδιά, έφηβους και νέους. Η έναρξη των ετήσιων τμημάτων γίνεται το μήνα Οκτώβριο και ολοκληρώνεται στα μέσα Ιουνίου. Το κάθε τμήμα αναφέρεται σε μία συγκεκριμένη ηλικιακή ομάδα και συντονίζεται από δύο σταθερούς εμψυχωτές.

- Το Τμήμα Ανταλλαγών και Δημοσίων Σχέσεων είναι υπεύθυνο για την ομαλή συνεργασία του Θ.Ει.Κ.Κ. με κάθε εξωτερικό φορέα. Μεταξύ άλλων, το τμήμα αυτό ασχολείται με προγράμματα πολιτιστικών ανταλλαγών, συμμετοχές σε εθνικά και διεθνή φεστιβάλ, συνεργασίες με πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς, συλλόγους, πανεπιστήμια, σχολεία, δήμους…

Από το 1994, το Θ.Ει.Κ.Κ. δημιούργησε ένα μικρό θεατράκι (50 θέσεων), το Θέατρο Τσέπης, στο οποίο και παρουσιάζονται οι θεατρικές παραγωγές για τους φίλους του συλλόγου. Μέχρι σήμερα, το Πούπουλο έχει στο ενεργητικό του πάνω από 60 θεατρικά έργα, βασισμένα σε διάφορες τεχνικές όπως : Μαύρο Θέατρο, Παντομίμα, Commedia del’Arte, Κουκλοθέατρο...

POUPOULO’s SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Theatrical Cultural Artistic Center (T.C.A.C) best known as POUPOULO (meaning feather), is a non-profitable Theatrical and Drama in Education Association. It was founded in 1984 by Ms Rita Poutachidou. Its original aim was the creation of an autonomous artistic bearer, open to all theatrical forms of expression and experimentation, concentrating on young children, teenagers and young adults.
At its very beginning it was hosted by the Municipal Theatre of Ampelokipi addressing only to the habitants of the area. Its limitations was more than the Association could tolerate. It established its own premises in 1988, at the center of Thessaloniki, in 35 Velissariou Str, where it continues to work on its aim to be creative.
Many were the local artists and special cooperators that were its founders. Their job was to assist and enhance the Assossiation’s efforts using their expertise and experience.
Among others we would like to make special reference to the following:
· Anna Giannakidou, Maria Pashalidou, Dora Karathanasi, Theofilo Lalo – Actors
· Evagelia Movsesian, Katerina Koulakioti, Anna-Maria Agelidou – Painters – Scenographers
· Dimitris Markatopoulos, Jacob Konitopoulos, Ilias Kipouros – Musicians
· Antigoni Saroulaki – Choreographer
· George Zigopis, Fotis Chatzimihailidis – Light Technicians
Later on many others came to add up to the efforts of the Association, those who were originally among the students that started as children and continued their studies on the subject (attending either greek or foreign universities and drama schools).Some of them are:
Kostas Amiropoulos, Melina Apostolidou, Lia Damanaki, Christina Zouridou, Gerakis Ilias, Catherine Ilia, Nick Danos, Vaia Paraskeva, John Poutachidis, Nick Raptis, Marisa Triantafilidou, Theodoros Tsakiridis, Simela Chatzitziva, Anna Porfiri, Catherine Poutachidou, etc.
In its 20year course, POUPOULO has developed a great range of activities while remaining faithful to its original goal. Many courses eveloped enhansing the organisational efficiency of the Association as well as promoting its outcomes.
To be more specific:
ό The Educational Part of the Association that deals with:
i. Organising and promoting various seminars on Drama in Education and its applications in the Theatrical Art and the Fine Arts. The seminar organisation are for limited attentance, always take place at the Association’s premises and apply to educationalists as much as artists.
ii. Coordinating and conducting lessons of the school curriculum using techniques and methods of Drama in Education at Elementary schools and High schools.
iii. Organising Creative Games and Happenings for groups of children taking place at Municipalities and Summer Camps
ό Poupoulo’s Workshops concentrate on organising operations and functions of various courses within its premises addressing to all people of younger age. Every October new groups begin with their cources being completed in June. What we pay special attention to is the members of each group being of the same age and ability to comprehend their course so that the two animateurs are in a position to take the group to the next level.
ό Exchange and Public Relations are in charge of T.C.A.C.’s fruitful and smooth collaboration with any external bearer. Among others, it deals with cultural exchange projects, participations at either national, european or international theatrical festivals and organising its cooperation with Cultural Organisations, other Associations, Universities, schools and Municipalities.
Ever since 1994, T.C.A.C. has founded a small theatrical stage within the premises of the Association, a 50seater one, called Pocket Theater. There, its theatrical productions are being performed in the presence of the friends of the Association. It is a quite often phenomenon, though, that we host on stage other local theatrical groups. Poupoulo itself has a history of more than 60 theatrical productions, using a lot of the known and not so well known theatrical forms, such as Black Light theater, Pantomime, Commedia dell’ Arte, Puppet Theater, Theater of Shadows, as well as many Street performances.
