| Under the Sea | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This setting was made almost entirely by the kids. We started by painting some mural paper blue. Once it was dry we hung it up on the walls. Next we used a blue sheet for the ocean floor (although a beige one would be good too) Then the fun part. The kids created all sorts of sea creatures. They painted them, sparkled them, and glued on them. They also coloured on sea shells with crayons. All of their sea creatures were hung up on the ocean wall. We used the bushes from our campground as sea weed and added some plastic fish and real starfish (I got lucky at a garage sale) onto the ocean floor. We made a shark fin out of cardboard and tied it around the waist. We also used some sparkly dress up clothes to be mermaids. The kids really enjoyed like under the sea, and they learned a lot about sea life doing it! |
