Arpeggio's
summer trim. We developed this a number
of years ago for our older dogs, and the
retired show dogs with big hair. The
dogs love it and believe it or not look about
10 months of age again ( I love that ).
This also makes grooming so much easier on our
older dogs, that is an added plus. I have
taught a groomer how to do this and her
client's with older dogs just love it.
It is
very simple to do, brush the dog as
normal, and away we go. Trim the ruff up
the front of the dog leave about 3" at
the bottom and work your way up. Lift
the collar at the back of the ears and
trim down to about 3 - 4 inches in
a half circle to frame the face, then
from the shoulder up shape in the half circle
until you are back at the ears.. Any
dark coat which also frames the ruff cut in a
straight line so that the line is sharp.
Remove all body coat below the point of the
elbow to the stifle. Remove most of the
pants and shake the tail and remove about 4
inches. Shake out the front legs and cut
feathers back in a gradual line from one
inch to about 3 1/2". Remove most of the hock
hair as well.
Remember
this will all be back again my winter so
nothing to worry about.
I have 3
in this trim - they love it and so do I.
