Throttle - 12-26-99 Xander vs. Esquire (PW Debut)
Pre-Match attack
[From out of nowhere into the shot rushes Xander, spear tackling the now unshielded Esquire (the security had backed off him a bit at his request). Straddling him, he begins to hit Esquire repeatedly in the face with a series of punches.]
Dave - Dear LORD! That's XANDER: Esquire's opponent that he'll be facing later tonight!
Rick - Looks to me, Dave, like Xander just couldn't wait and decided to start things here early! And is he EVER, as he's just HAMMERING away at Esquire!
Dave - Security rushing him and pulling him off of Esquire and with more space to move around back there, they're having a lot more succes this time than they were having a few minutes ago… Xander being hauled off down the hall now by some of te security team and Esquire's just left lying there… My goodness what a crazy night this has been so far.
The Match begins...
[The bell rings.]
Pattera - This next match is a scheduled for one fall......
["Why I'm Here" by Oleander plays throughout the arena]
Pattera -On his way down the Aisle from Burkittsville, Maryland, weighing in at 235 pounds, he is Xaaandeeer!!!
[The lights dim and Xander walks out from behind the curtain. He looks over the crowd, from left to right, then makes his way toward the ring, commenting to the fans as he goes. He arrives in the ring and the lights go back to normal. Xander's music cuts and Beethoven's 5th Symphony starts to play. A sign in the crowd goes up that reads "Esquire will lose!". Esquire, his hair slicked back tightly, with Geeves following at his heels, walks out from behind the curtain and is met by boos…]
Pattera - And his opponent, accompanied by his butler, Geeves, Ladies and Gentlemen, from Chicago, Illinois, he is Esssssssquire!!!
[Esquire ignores the fans as he and Geeves walk to the ring. Esquire takes off his jacket, handing it to Geeves, who folds it across his own arm, letting it hang. Esquire climbs to the apron, as does Geeves. Esquire waits as Geeves holds the top and second rope apart, then steps in between them and into the ring. The bell rings.]
*** Xander Vs Esquire ***
Rick -Xander attacking with a set of jabs to the chest! Esquire trying for some of his own and Xander blocks and applies a standing armbar! But Esquire isn't going to give up to that! Xander off the ropes- WOAH! A flying body scissors by Xander that takes Esquire off his feet!! Xander all over Esquire with a flurry of punches! Esquire somehow manages to push him off!
Dave - Esquire on Xander quick with a body scissors applied! And he's really squeezing it on too! Xander in trouble here if he can't reach the ropes... Aaaaand YES! Xander has the rope and the hold is broken!
Rick - Xander trying to get to his feet- But Esquire drags him right back down! Esquire keeping Xander grounded: a good strategy considering the ability Esquire's shown us that he has on the mat. Now crawling over to Xander. Front facelock applied by Esquire. He's holding it, but Xander getting to his feet- A punch to the ribs by Xander and Esquire releases the hold. Esquire takes a knee and is slow to his feet...
Dave - Esquire sending Xander to the ropes- Esquire misses the clothesline- Xander off the ropes- drop toe hold by sends Xander to the mat face first! Esquire following up with an STF!!... Xander barely gets loose! What do you think of the match so far, Rick?
Rick - Any match with Esquire in it is a good match in my book.
Dave - I don't suppose that this has anything to do with the little Carson-bashing that took place tonight? [He doesn't get an answer.] Esquire now with Xander- hoists him up in a suplex... and down! Esquire drapes his arm over for a cover- 1-2- Xander gets the shoulder up! He's going to have to get better weight distribution than that on Xander if he wants to win this. Esquire crawling to Xander- OH! Esquire with the choke! The ref's counting 1-2-3-4- Esquire releases it- C'MON! Esquire chokeing him AGAIN!
Rick - As long as he breaks it before the 5-count, it's legal. See?
Dave - No doubt about that... but- OH! A rake to the eyes by Xander!
Rick - Hey! He can't do that!
Dave - [sighs.] Xander on his feet- stomping away at Esquire!! Xander just not stopping!!! WAIT: Esquire caught his foot- Leg drag takedown by Esquire!!! Like him or not, you can't argue that Esquire is one heck of a competitor-
Rick - I like hi just fine, thanks.
Dave - That's not what I meant... Esquire on his feet now and off the ropes- Elbow drop- Xander out of the way just in time! Esquire slides onto Xander and hooks the leg! 1... 2!... Kickout by Xander!
Rick - I thought he had him that time for SURE!
Dave - But Xander still has some fight left in him from the looks of it... Esquire driving a knee into the spinal area of Xanders back!!
Rick - Esquire getting to his feet and helping Xander to his feet- Side Russian leg sweep by Esquire! Rolls over onto him- 1-2- No! Only a 2-count. Esquire pushing himself up... And he drops down on Xander with a leg drop right across the throat! Esquire up to his feet first... Xander getting to his feet and Esquire climbing to the top- OH!! Xander just bumped into the ropes and Esquire landed on the top rope HARD!
Dave - He'll be singing soprano after that!
Rick - For some reason Adam Kent is going to let this one go, though I'd say it was pretty obvious that move was intentional... Xander pulling Esquire back to his feet. Esquire with an eye gouge!! Down goes Xander! Esquire shaking the cobwebs loose.... Now with his legs... going for the figure four- OH! Big headbutt to the midsectioon instead!
Dave - Esquire though, looks like he may be running out of gas... as both men now are slow to their feet... And it's Xander up first and bringing Esquire to his feet the hard way- Headbutt by Xander sends Esquire back down to eat the canvas! Xander jumping- Springboard off the top into a dropkick! Wow, what a move that was: where did he get the ENERGY to pull that one off?
Rick - Xander pushing himself up- Esquire HAULS him down with a lunging clothesline! And speaking of energy bursts, where did THAT one come from?!
Dave - You're not kidding! Both men slow to their feet here once again... Both getting their footing around the same time. Esquire now applying a reverse chin lock on Xander trying to wear him down. Esquire really leaning on Xander so that he's carrying all the weight. Xander now struggling... The fans are REALLY getting behind this newcomer here... Xander struggling- and he breaks out of it! Xander shaking it off...
Rick - Both men are on the mat and attempting to get the upper hand! Esquire on top and just WAILING on Xander!!
Dave - Now Xander rolls him over and HE'S landing the punches! Esquire shoves him off! Esquire looks hurt! Xander to his feet and climbing the ropes... Xander on the top! Up and- NO!! Esquire rolled out of the way in lots of time!
Rick - He was just playing possum! Esquire crawling over to Xander... Covering: 1- strong kickout by Xander!! Esquire looks shoked... Xander is moving back to his feet. Xander comes down on Esquire with a double axe handle!! Esquire shaking it off and getting to his feet...
Dave - Xander has Esquire- sends him to the ropes- leapfrog by Xander- Esquire off the ropes- Handspring into a flying headscissors- Huricanrana by Xander!! What a great move!!! The PW rookie REALLY catching Esquire offguard with a spectacular move there... And following up now, it's Xander pulling Esquire up off the mat- OH! And a jab to the face by Esquire stuns Xander!
Rick - Esquire on his feet- off the ropes- BULLDOGS Xander! Esquire following up with a quick front facelock: Esquire showing some real old-school wrestling ability here as he's just wearing Xander down slowly by cutting of the circulation. He's holding it, but Xander getting to his feet- Esquire up with him... Xander struggling for a reversal... Esquire turning the move around- Neckbreaker drop! Nice one! Like him or not, you can't argue that Esquire is one heck of a competitor. Esquire to his feet first and he has Xander by the ankle- Spinning toe hold applied! Xander struggling! Esquire drops the elbow!
Dave - Covering: No! Only a one count. Esquire crawling to Xander- OH! Esquire with the choke again! The ref's counting 1-2-3-4- Esquire releases it in time- and again!! Esquire chokeing him AGAIN!
Rick - Esquire breaks and goes for the cover- 1-2- Xander gets the shoulder up.
Dave - He's going to have to hook the leg or something- this newcomer Xander isn't going to take a fall very easily... Front facelock applied by Esquire. He's holding it, but Xander getting to his feet- A punch to the ribs by Xander and Esquire releases the hold and down he goes.
Rick - Xander is trying to pull Esquire back to his feet. Esquire with an eye gouge!! Down goes Xander! Esquire scraping Xander's body off the canvas- Setting him up for a side Russian legsweep- OH! He swept Xander FORWARD and flattened his face with it! Check the boy's nose, ref: he may not HAVE one after that move!
Dave - Esquire now pulling Xander up bythe back of the tights- OH! What a blow to the kidney! Those ones are painful folks! And still with the tights- reels him in and into a wiastlock- Wait! It's Xander getting out and with the go-behind! And now Esquire does the same! Reversed again by Xander!!! Xander lifts him off the mat, spins- GERMAN SUPLEX, and he holds it: 1... 2... Thr- OH dear Lord! So VERY close to the Three-count, but referee Adam Kent is assuring everyone that it was closer to two and a half, though it looked closer than that to me! Xander on his feet- stomping away at Esquire!! Now- Drops the falling fist and hits his mark! Xander on the warpath here as he pulls Esquire up- sccops him up aaaaand slams him down into the middle of the ring! This kid has potential, folks, let me tell you! Xander going to the top... He's up somersault- LANDS the senton backsplash!! The crowd here is going nuts! Xander... He's going to the opposite corner this time and he's on the first rope to go to the top! Leaps- springs- SPLIT-LEGGED MOONSAULT- OH!!! And Esquire got the knees up!
Rick - I saw that one coming, Dave: A typical rookie mistake there by Xander in just not knowing when to quit. That split-leg moonsault may have caught the attention of the fans, but it was one high-risk move too many for the PW rookie. Esquire not wasting any time getting to his feet to do what he does best either, and that's capitalize... He measures Xander up... falling headbutt! Esquire to his feet and pulling him up- Irish whip to the corner! Follows him in there slowly... Now Esquire hoisting him up on the top rope and going up there with him- lifting aaand THERE it is: Money Talks, that patented top rope brainbuster of his! Esquire making Adam Kent's work REALLY easy with that move as he gets the three count and picks up the victory.
[The bell rings. Beethoven's 5th Symphony plays...]
Pattera - Ladies and Gentlemen, here is your winner... Esquuuiiireee!!!
Dave - Well, despite the loss in his first PW showing, you have to give it out to Xander who REALLY gave Esquire quite a run there, with some great moves. The rookie showed a lot of potential and may be yet another of the ones to watch that we've been seeing on this edition of Throttle.
Shockwave - 01-06-00 Xander vs. Justice
Rick - Up next though, we have another interesting matchup, as we'll see one half of the tag team that upset the current tag champions in a non-title match that caused "Hellraiser" and "Livewire" to have to fight the AngelKillers in the dreaded scaffold match… I'm talking about Justice, ladies and gentlemen! And he'll be going up against a promising young talent out of Maryland, Xander. So without further delay, let's get to it!
[The bell rings.]
Pattera - This next match is a scheduled for one fall...
["The Star Spangled Banner plays throughout the arena and some fans begin to chant "USA".]
Pattera - On his way down the Aisle from Washington, DC, weighing 245, he is Justiiiiice!!!
[Justice makes his way to the ring, waving an American flag. "Why I'm Here" by Oleander cuts in and all heads turn to the entrance.]
Pattera - And his opponent…
[Xander steps out of the entrance area, the pyro goes off, the crowd goes absolutely insane!! ]
Pattera - Coming down the aisle, weighing 235 pounds, from Burkittsville, Maryland, Xaaandeeer!!!!!!!!!!!
[Xander walks to the ring. The bell rings]
*** Justice vs. Xander ***
Dave - Justice levels Xander with a foot to the face. Xander down to a knee.
Rick - Justice comes down across the back of Xander with a double axe handle!! Xander just can't make it to his feet! Xander moving back to his feet Justice scoops him up and slams him to the ground!! Justice with a roll up. Adam Kent counts ...1 ...2 ..NOOO Kick out!!
Dave - Too early in the match to put him away. Justice should have known better than that with his ring experience...
Rick - Justice picks him up in a fireman's carry, and drops him right on his face! And a figure four attempt now by Justice. Justice really in a hurry to get things done, but Xander kicks him off quick.
Dave - Still, that could have been the end of Xander! Justice pulling Xander back to his feet. Test of strength, Xander has a slight advantage .... Justice coming back ... Knee to midsection! Justice scoops him up- POWER SLAMMM!! Cover by Justice ...1 ...2 ... Adam Kent is pointing to the ropes Xander has his foot on the ropes! Nice save!
Rick - Xander hops back to his feet. Closed fists to the face of Justice, followed be a devastating forearm!!! Xander whips Justice into the ropes and follows in with a clothesline! Justice is stumbling... He's down and is out cold! Good moves by Xander!
Dave - What an awesome match!!!!
Rick - Good call! Justice needs to try for a comeback! Xander lifting Justice into position for something. He devastated the neck of Justice with a Tombstone type piledriver. Xander pulling him off the mat and setting him in the corner against the turnbuckles- Xander out of no where with a corkscrew hurricanrana! Justice went down in a heap! Justice though shaking his head moving to his feet. Xander kicks him back down! We're not seeing much offense from Justice, things are looking grim...
Dave - Justice is ROCKED with a big elbow! Pinning combination by Xander ...1 ...2 ... Justice grabs onto the ropes! I can't believe it Rick! We almost had a pin there!
Rick - Justice struggles back to his feet. Justice picks him up tilt-o-whirl Back Breaker!!! Justice catching a second wind here or SOMETHING! Justice dropping his knee across the back of Xander. And again!
Dave - Xander sure could use some help now! Boston crab being applied by Justice ... all he has to do is turn him over.
Rick - He may have him with that.. NOOO!! Xander got out of there at the last second!
Dave - Justice with the hair of Xander.
Rick - Looks like he's setting him up for something... Oh Big time Piledriver!! Xander slowly moving back to his feet Justice scoops him up and slams him to the ground!!
Dave - Xander climbing back to his feet, Justice moves in... Vertical Suplex! Justice with a lateral press Adam Kent ...1 ...2 ...OhHHHH!
Rick - That had to be two and seven eighths, Dave! Unreal!!! ANOTHER piledriver by Justice! If he keeps this up, we may never see Xander walk again!
Dave - Oh NO! Camel clutch applied by Justice! It could be all over here for Xander! Justice leaning back even further now. Xander's desperately reaching for the ropes, but simply can't make it! Wait, Justice breaks the hold!
Rick - Looks like he didn't want to win it that way, Dave.
Dave - What could he hopping to achieve by this? OH dear god no! Justice drives an elbow into the top if Xander's skull!!! The man is trying to injure him! Justice covers him and hooks the leg as he salutes the crowd. Adam Kent counts ...1 ...2 ..NOOO Kick out!!
Rick - Xander is writhing on the mat in sheer pain. Justice dives on to Xander and applies a headlock. He's pounding away at the skull of Xander!
Dave - What an devastating series of punches!! Justice comes down across the back of Xander with a double axe handle!! Xander just can't make it to his feet!
Rick - Justice lifting Xander into position for something. He devastated the neck of Xander with a Tombstone piledriver. Justice's going for a boston crab again...
Dave - He's not gonna get it on Xander is still too quick! He has his arm on the ropes and Adam Kent backs Justice off.
Rick - Xander pulls himself back to his feet with the ropes. Justice taunting Xander a bit by encouraging the fans to chant "USA". OHHHHH Xander with a backhand!! What's Justice gonna say to that? He looks pissed! Xander out of no where with a dropkick to the knee! Justice went down quick!
Dave - Quick cover by Xander, ...1 ...2…

Rick - He may have him with that.. NOOO!! Xander with a hand on the ropes again! Kent calls for the break! Xander hops back to his feet. They tie up... We've got a struggle for power...
Dave - Xander comes out on top with a reverse neck breaker. Standing senton splash onto Justice. Xander off the ropes, legdrop across the throat. Xander brings him up, and a jab to the midsection. He spins Justice around, and backslides him for a pin. Kent counts… 1… 2- NO! Justice kicks out.
Rick - Xander springs back to his feet. Justice up to on a knee- SPEAR by Justice! Xander never saw that one coming! Justice comes down across the back of Xander with a double axe handle!! Justice pounding away at the lower back.
Dave - Justice measures him up… Xander is ROCKED with a big elbow to the lower back! Good string of moves by Justice.
Rick - Justice lifting Xander up, but Xander sent him reeling with a thunderous blow to the head!! Kick to the gut knocks Justice out of balance. Xander follows up with a running knee lift to take him down! Justice is up and stumbling- the pickup by Xander: CRADDLE PILEDRIVER! He calls that one the Rock Coffin Driver folks, and this match could be over!
Dave - Without a doubt, Rick! He can end this one right now if he wants, but it looks like Xander is going to be giving Justice a taste of his own medicine, and he ain't liking it! Xander lifts him to the top turnbuckle. Both men on the top… they're punching it out… I can't believe Justice is trying to fight back... OH!!! Hurricane DDT by Xander!!!
Dave - I'm not so sure Justice can take much more punishment... Xander picking him up and it may be Rock Coffin Driver time for Justice once again!! Xander with the cradle on the leg- DOWN into the mat! This one's over for SURE if he wants it... Xander goes for the cover, Adam Kent counts ...1 ...2 ...3!!!

["Why I'm Here" by Oleander plays as the fans cheer on the victorious Xander. The shot cuts to the announcer's table.]
Dave - Xander coming up big with his first PW victory against one half of the American Way here tonight and in absolutely BRUTAL fashion as he delivers his Rock Coffin Driver cradle piledriver, not once but TWICE!
Rick - It's tough coming off a first match loss, Dave: the kid went toe-to-toe with Justice for a while there, and things went back and forth. When you add that to the loss against Esquire he suffered on Throttle, you can understand pretty quick that the kid had something to prove, and he drove the message home by "putting the nails in the coffin", so to speak.
Dave - That he did, Rick. That he did. Coming up next though, we'll see if Truth can fare better on his own that his partner Justice did, as the other half of The American Way will be squaring off against the newcomer known only as OutCast! This one should exciting, so sit tight!
Throttle - 01-28-00 Xander vs. "Ice Man" Matt Michaels
Dave - Welcome back everyone to PW Throttle, we're just about to get our next match underway...
[The bell rings.]
Pattera - The following match is a scheduled for one fall......
["Sexy Boy" plays as the lights dim to darkness... The crowd is going crazy, waving about a variety of signs and Matt Michaels paraphernalia... Laser lights shoot at twirl on the ramp...]
Pattera - Coming down the aisle, accompanied to the ring by the PW Extreme Champion "Iceberg" Kevin Hall, weighing in at 247 pounds, he is the "Ice Man" Maaatt Miiichaaaeeels!!!!!!!!!!
[The cheers from the fans suddenly get louder as the "Ice Man" Matt Michaels walks out from the entryway. Playing to the crowd, hops in a circle with his arms extended. He proceeds down the entrance ramp, giving fans fives. He climbs up on the ring apron and dances along it for a moment to the delight of the fans, then climbs through the second and top ropes. He does his pose and fireworks go off behind him in the shape of a X, and with this the house lights return to their regular intensity. He proceeds to remove his vest and hat, then he climbs the ropes and raises his hands, crossing the at the forearms in the shape of an X.]
Dave - Michaels looking fired up for this match here tonight, and he's always up to putting up a great fight...
Rick - And with his future tag team partner, Kevin Hall at ringside, he's got someone watching his back too: something that could be necessary if TSK might decide to seek some retribution for the contribution he lent to the cause of his NX partner toward the winning effort of setting Dave Carson ablaze!
["Why I'm here" by Oleander kicks in...]
Dave - And it's a good thing he has someone to watch over him too, 'cause he'll have his hands full with Xander here tonight!
[The lights dim, and spotlights focus their light on the entryway. Xander steps out of the entrance and is met by mixed relations from the crowd. He looks to either side of the arena, appearing to be assessing the situation, then looks to the ring.]
Pattera - And his opponent, Coming down the aisle, weighing in at 235 pounds, from Burkittsville, Maryland, Xaaandeeer!!!!!!!!!!!
[Xander proceeds toward the ring, replying to the cheers and jeers of the fans on his way. He climbs onto the apron and catapults himself over the top, holding onto the rope to execute a somersault and land on his feet. He charges in on Michaels before Jim Pattera has a chance to exit the ring. Michaels swings at Xander and he's caught by the wrist.]
Rick - Xander is taking over from the start with the Irish whip! Michaels off the ropes- WOAH! A truck hit him! Xander took Matt Michaels to the mat with a clothesline AND HARD!!!
[The bell rings.]
Dave - You can bet that this isn't how Michaels expected to start this one off! Xander drops a knee on lower leg of Matt Michaels! Now drapes his arm over him for a cover- 1-2- The Ice Man gets the shoulder up. Xander wasting no time here as he rolls Matt Michaels onto his stomach- Folds his legs up- STF there by Xander!
Rick - Nice work there by Xander! But Matt Michaels with a hand free- GRABS that bottom rope and the hold is broken!
Dave - Both men now slow to their feet... And it's Matt Michaels up first and bringing Xander to his feet the hard way- Headbutt by Matt Michaels sends Xander back down to eat the canvas! Xander rolling to the outside and looking for a weapon now... He's got his eyes fixed on the big Extreme champ though, you can be sure of that! On the inside it's Matt Michaels off the ropes- BASEBALL SLIDE SENDS Xander into the steel rail!! OUCH! Matt Michaels on the outside now, and tossing Xander back in and following him to the inside...
Rick - But it's Xander getting to his feet and pulling Michaels up with him before the NX'er could get up- Standing dropkick puts Matt Michaels off the ropes and right back down!
Dave - He hit that one PERFECTLY. Xander crawling over to The Ice Man. Front facelock applied by Xander. He's holding it, but Michaels getting to his feet- A punch to the ribs by Michaels and Xander releases the hold, falling to one knee...
Rick - Xander lunging off the mat toward Michaels and knocking off his feet!! Desperation maneuver by Xander! Xander now- Falling fist right on the money!
Dave - Xander quick to his feet once again- Drops the elbow! Up again- down with another elbow! Up quick AGAIN- A THIRD elbow drop! Both men looking tired after that series of explosive moves, but what a show of agility there by Xander: he's some quick, folks. And now it's Xander to his feet and measuring Matt Michaels- Falling fist- NOBODY HOME! And just listen to the fans, Rick: They're just LOVING this!
Rick - How can you BLAME them Dave? You won't find much better competitors than Xander or Matt Michaels anywhere else!
Dave - They've been through a lot here tonight: The fans are definitely getting their money's worth off of this match alone, that's for sure!
Rick - Xander getting to his feet- Hauled down by Matt Michaels! And now Matt Michaels with a legbar submission!
Dave - And I don't have to tell you how painful that can be! Matt Michaels- Takes him over with a legdrag! Wow!... The pace finally slowing down a notch here as both men now slow to their feet... The Ice Man charging at Xander!
Rick - Xander's with a back body drop, NO Matt Michaels with a boot to the face! Xander to the mat! Michaels with the momentum now.
Dave - Xander trying to push himself to his feet.. Matt Michaels just waiting for him- Here we go- What a nice over the shoulder throw by Xander! He uses his leverage so well!... Xander now with an attempt at the Boston crab... all he has to do is turn him over.
Rick - He may have him with that........ NOOO!! Matt Michaels got out of that at the last second! Xander drops a knee on lower leg of Michaels! He seems to be working that area for some reason... Xander rolls over on top of him! Danny Dickson counting- 1... 2... NO! Xander almost put this one way.
Dave - That could have been a major upset for the relative newcomer, but he's still the man in control, lifting Michaels up off the canvas once again. Setting him up- Side suplex- No! Michaels landed behind him! Hurricanrana by Michaels! What a well-timed maneuver, and it may be enough for Michaels to mount a comeback folks! But they're both down and looking more than a bit worn out... Danny Dickson starting the count: ... 2... 3... 4... 5... Michaels finally up to his feet first and dives on to Xander and applies a headlock. Michaels wrenching it on tight! Xander's really struggling now! Xander gets the upper hand... setting The Ice Man up for something with a standing headscissor....
Dave - Michaels counters- back body drop!!
Rick - The Ice Man climbing to the top! Xander slowly getting to his feet- Missel dropkick by The Ice Man- Xander with a dropkick- MIDAIR COLLISION!! Both men connected with their dropkicks!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Say what you will about Xander, but he's getting up again and he just keeps coming at Matt Michaels! DOWN with the kneedrop! Covering: No! Only a one count. Xander now with Michaels my the wrists and driving a knee into the spinal area of Matt Michaels' back!! Xander now with a reverse chin lock on Matt Michaels trying to wear him down... Dave - Both men now slow to their feet... And it's the Ice Man up first. He has Xander- sends him to the ropes- Sleeperhold by The Ice Man! Looks like Xander is off to dreamland this time for sure- NO! Xander with a back elbow just in time, but collapses to a knee... Matt Michaels getting to his feet and helping Xander up with a side headlock- into Side Russian leg sweep! Rolls over onto him- 1-2- No! Only a 2-count. Michaels covering again! Rick - They're both up- OH!! A low dropkick to the knee by Xander takes Michaels off his feet! Xander up and stomping away at Michaels! Xander just not stopping!!! WAIT: The Ice Man caught his foot and has him off balance- Leg drag takedown by Michaels!!!
Dave - Matt Michaels crawling over to Xander... Covering: 1- No, Xander just rolls him off. And it's Michaels getting up- Down again with the falling fist!
Rick - What a match this has been, Dave! The crowd's seeing two of their favorite superstars going toe to toe and taking each other to the limits! They may be torn over who the winner might be, but I think it's a safe bet that there won't be too many fans walking away disappointed after this match is over, no matter what the outcome ends up being!
Dave - Michaels now trying to wear down Xander with a reverse chin lock., and from the explosive energy we've been seeing from Xander tonight, it just might be a good idea to try to wear him down... Xander struggling... And freeing himself once again tonight!
Rick - He's shaking it off, Dave, but he's expending a lot of energy to break out of all these holds, and Michaels may soon have him right where he want him... Michaels moving in- hooks the leg: Small package by Michaels! 1-2- NO!!! Xander barely kicks out one more time! Both men are down and it looks like they're just taking a second to catch their breaths. Michaels rolls over- and with a handful of hair on Xander!
Rick - Xander's face is being slammed to the mat over and over by Matt Michaels! Michaels has to realize that this isn't another extreme match that he's in!! Get in there ref!
Dave - Michaels might be getting desperate for the win here, after his Shockwave loss to Blizzard!...
Rick - Michaels finally releasing Xander at the warning of the referee... The Ice Man is moving back to his feet. Xander trying to push himself to his feet.. The Ice Man just waiting for him... Xander up- Sleeperhold applied once again by Matt Michaels! And Xander isn't looking like he's going to have enough fuel left to worm his way out of it this time either- NO! Looks like I spoke too soon there, 'cause that jawbreaker reversal by Xander looks like it may have stunned the Ice Man... This could be the just break Xander's been looking for!
Dave - You may be right, Rick! Xander pulling himself up to his feet with the ring ropes and on his feet, staggering a bit, and he's looking exhausted, folks. Michaels on his knees- low seated dropkick right to the face by Xander!
Rick - Xander must be getting like his third or even FOURTH wind here against the resilient Michaels who just won't stay down! Michaels trying to get to his feet again and he's up- Xander moving in leaps up- Hurricanran- NO!!! Michaels countered with a powerbomb!! Xander just didn't have the strength left to whip him over!... Michaels to his feet again and he has Xander by the ankle- Spinning toe hold applied! Xander looks like he may be out of this contest!.... Michaels drops the elbow! Matt Michaels rolls Xander onto his stomach- Folds his legs up- STF there by Michaels!
Dave - Nice work there by Matt Michaels! But Xander with a hand free- GRABS that bottom rope and Michaels sees it and quickly breaks! Xander holding on by a thread here, and he's in all kinds of trouble, as Michaels seems to be just a move or two away from finishing Xander off here tonight!
Rick - I think you're right, Dave: I'm pretty sure that Xander's got nothing left to give after all he's gone through so far- Michaels should be able to put this one away if he's careful. Michaels up and pulling Xander to his feet... Sends Xander for the ride! Caught by Michaels! The Ice Man with his arm across the throat of Xander- DOWN with the Soviet suplex!! The crowd here in the Garden is on its feet and they're all rallying behind Michaels!
Dave - Michaels feeling good here and going to the top! He's used that elbow off the top to set opponents up for either the Icekick or the Chill Factor before: is that what he's gong for here! No: A splash aaand- OH MY GOD HE MISSED IT!! Xander rolled out of the way! He rolled out of the way!! Xander with a back press on Michaels: 1... 2... Michaels with a leg and rolls him up to counter! 1... 2... Xander with a hand on the ropes and Danny Dickson pointing it out to Michaels: Michaels beside himself here and he can't believe that this match still isn't over!
Rick - And this is getting dangerous for him as he looks like he's getting frustrated, Dave. Michaels has thrown an awful lot at Xander and doesn't look like he knows what to hit him with next... Michaels getting up and Xander still holding onto the bottom rope, as if it's all that's keeping him alive, folks. Michaels with Xander's ankles- HAULS him off the rope and into the middle of the ring and setting up for a scorpion deathlock!! All he has to do is roll him over!.... Xander trying to struggle out, but it's an uphill battle... Michaels- he flips him over!
Dave - But Xander managed to struggle enough to get Michaels out of position and he's having trouble sitting down on it! Xander crawling away with his hands and Michaels is hiving to let him go...
Rick - Michaels getting more frustrated by the minute, Dave, and if Xander can make another comeback, it could spell real trouble for the NX'er. Michaels now- DOWN with the elbow on Xander! Covering: 1... 2... 3! Wait! NO!!! Referee Danny Dickson is explaining to Matt that Xander barely got a shoulder up!
Dave - I can't BELIEVE this, and neither can Michaels! And for that matter, neither can the New York fans here tonight or the Extreme Champ on the outside!
Rick - Can you BLAME any of them though? I thought this one would be over a LONG time ago, but Xander's found more ways to escape tonight than Harry frikken Houdini!!
Dave - That he has, Rick, and Michaels looks like he's had enough with all this and he's pulling Xander off the canvas in a headlock- OH!!! And he drove Xander head-first into the canvas with a DDT!
Rick - WOW! It's too bad for Michaels that this wasn't a first blood match: Xander's forehead has been split open and he's bleeding!
Dave - Michaels looking to end this and he's climbing to the top once again! I think we'll be seeing him trying to put this away with the flying elbow drop! Michaels up there and just listen to this capacity crowd cheering him on! Michaels up aaand DOWN with the elbow drop!!! This could be it!! But: I can't believe it!! Michaels getting up and not covering!
Rick - He's going to try to make sure this is a done deal, and I don't blame him, but he should probably have tried for the cover nonetheless! Michaels now pulling Xander up... dragging him over to the turnbuckles and draping his arms over the top ropes... Michaels taking a step back- IceKick- But Xander managed to grab his foot- reels him in- Over the shoulder jawbreaker!!! Michaels down and looks stunned! Xander slides over onto him- rolls Michaels up: 1... 2... 3!!!! Xander's done it!!
[The bell rings. "Why I'm Here" by Oleander kicks in, and Danny Dickson raises Xander's hand in victory. Xander, kneeling on the mat, doesn't even seem able to stand. The fans are on their feet and cheering him on.]
Dave - The victor getting a standing ovation here after making quite an upset over Matt Michaels, and after the incredible showing Michaels made here, I think it's safe to say that the applause are going to him too!
Pattera - Ladies and Gentlemen, here is your winner... Xaaaaaaandeeeerr!!!
Rick - No doubt about it Dave: Michaels should have had this one, and Xander's luck this time happened to be all good, as he's able to crawl away with a victory here on Throttle. I'd bet that we just might see these two squaring off again in the future to put on another great show for the fans.

Dave - Let's hope so, Rick: this Xander guy showed a lot of heart to just be able to keep his senses in this match, and it ended up paying off in the end with that quick-thinking fr the counter to the IceKick into the Magistral cradle.... Wait a moment... I'm being told that Tommy Glide is backstage now and ready to conduct an interview.... Tommy?

Rick - But as you said, a good one: Jansen's taken a few good lumps in this match already, and if he's to have even a ghost of chance at going further, he HAS to recover and conserve energy.
[The lights dim. The shot switches to the entrance. A spotlight turns on and cues "Why I'm Here" by Oleander to blare through the Planet Dome. From behind the curtain and into the spotlight steps Anya, sporting a set of silver, ankle length tights and a blue sports bra like top. She's followed by Xander.]
Dave - Everyone has their eyes on the ramp, but I'm not quite sure WHO we're going to be seeing come down to the ring right now! Will it be Xander, or will it be the second woman to throw her hat into an inter-gender match tonight, the lovely Anya?!
Rick - I'm not sure, Dave, but they'd better make their move fast or SOMEONE'S going to be eliminated!
Dave - Looks like it's going to be Xander, as Anya now proceeding to the back and Xander is heading toward the ring.
[On his way to the ring, a fan holding a homemade sign hangs over the steel rail in front of Xander. Xander smiles and takes the sign from him and turns it toward the camera. It reads: "http://www.oocities.org/Area51/Capsule/3828/XandersPWBio.html".]
Rick - Xander and Anya playing head games with these guys already. I have a good feeling about this Xander guy for this match, Dave. He might just end up surprising a lot of people here tonight!
Dave - Goodness knows that just about ANYTHING can happen in a match like this, and the man is definitely gaining a good fan base with each match he wrestles here in Planet Wrestling! On the inside Zed Logan with Rudy Rudos now in a front facelock... Xander entering the ring now and completely passing by that pair and he has his sights set on Ken Jansen. Jansen getting to his feet to face him and things look like they're about to pick up for the "Heartbeat of Canada"!
Rick - We might see a contrast of styles here, but consider that Xander might just want to stay a WEE bit more grounded that he usually does, considering the risk of such a strategy in a match like this.
Dave - Xander and Jansen sizing each other up... Locking up! Xander getting the advantage and sends Jansen to the ropes! Jansen off the ropes- Xander with the leapfrog clears Jansen! Jansen off the ropes again- BEAUTIFULLY executed dropkick by Xander!
Rick - That guy can move, no doubt about it! Pulling Jansen up off the canvas- OH! And Ken Jansen with the ultimate equalizer: the good ol' thumb to the eye!
Dave - Ken Jansen now- fireman's carry takedown on Xander! And now with a reverse chinlock- no doubt trying to take the wind out of the speedy Xander's sails.
Rick - And over in the corner, we have Rudy Rudos with a REAL handful of trouble in the shape of Zed Logan just BELTING him! Rudos is REALLY paying the price here after what he did to Logan's arm! Zed Logan- OH! Backing himself into Rudos, crushing New Jersey's first luchador up against the turnbuckles! Rudos being FLATTENED in there! He may be wanting to check on his ribs after this one is over, to see if he has ANY left that aren't broken or at least severely bruised! Same goes for Zed, of course... That has t be painful for him too...
Dave - And on the mat it's Xander trying to get back to his feet... Jansen transferring into a side headlock... Elbow to the breadbasket by Xander! Jansen still holding on- OH! But another elbow to the ribs from Xander and Jansen releasing the hold! Xander to the ropes and Jansen giving chase! Xander- off the second rope- LEVELS Jansen with a back elbow!! Ken Jansen was REALLY caught off guard by that springbord move from the high-flying Xander! Xander on the follow up and pulling Jansen to his feet- WOAH!!!
Rick - Holy CRAP! Did you hear the sound of that impact!! The NHL's scouts are going to be wanting to take a look at Rudos after that one, as he collided with Jansen off of an Irish whip by Zed Logan and the result was one of the better body checks you'll never see in pro hockey!
Dave - You're not kidding! It wasn't so much a collision as an EXPLOSION!
[The screen splits to show the replay. It's downright nasty lookin'.]
Rick - What a hit... But now it's Xander and Logan locking up! Xander with a quick move and into an arm drag!! Xander really using his head here, and must have been watching the action from the back, because he's sinking on a armbar on the would-be Trans World Champ right now. Very smart wrestling on Xander's part. Like I was saying- I have a good feeling about this kid.
Dave - You may be right, Rick: no one gets into Planet Wrestling if they're not a superstar in their own right, and Xander's definitely looking sharp here so far against his quite likely much more tired competition. Xander putting on the pressure and Logan trying to reach for the ropes.
Rick - If he can get to them, he might just be able to shift his weight to them enough to get himself out of this predicament....
Dave - Rudos and Jansen still on the canvas and looking like they've been in a car wreck! Both men are moving ever so slightly, but I think it safe to say that their bells have been rung.
Rick - Which brings us back to Xander, who's probably seeing this as an opportunity to get rid of ALL THREE men he's in the ring with right now- If he can do it quick enough, he might just have a chance of doing just that.
Dave - And what a feat THAT would be! Zed Logan though getting a hand on the ropes and, pulling himself up just as you said, Rick. Getting to their feet now are Logan and Xander. Xander with a wristlock applied now and spinning it into an arm wringer- WOAH!! He was HAMMERED to his feet with a THUNDEROUS clothesline from the "Black Thunder"! Zed Logan not looking too happy about Xander's choice of tactics and pulling the smaller man off the mat now with his good arm- One handed scoop- SLAMS him back down! And now with the kneedrop- right on target! The tides have turned here in a hurry in the favour of Zed Logan.
Rick - No matter WHO you are, you always have to be on the lookout for that kind of power from the big guys like Zed, and his brother from that matter. Xander got caught being a bit overconfident there, and we'll just have to wait and see what happens as a result.
Dave - And speaking of seeing what's going to happen, what would happen if, after the next elimination that we'd see a Logan family reunion and we'd have the two NX big men in the ring at the same time?
Rick - If it does, Dave, all I can say is that, to paraphrase Mr. T: "I'd pitty da' foos in that dat ring".
Dave - You're not kidding!! But back to the action at hand, can you believe what you're seeing on the other side of the ring right now, Rick?
Rick - Not in the least: Rudy Rudos and Ken Jansen are getting to their feet! Do not adjust you sets, ladies and gents: they look like they're in slow motion, but I have to admit that the fact that they're even up and about is nothing short of unbelievable. Jansen leaning against the ropes, and that may not be a good place to be... Rudos seeing his opening and moving in on him- Jansen with a boot to the midsection! I'm pretty sure he saw that one all the way, and now taking the offensive- Spinning neckbreaker by Jansen!
Dave - And Xander having a bit of difficulty now with Zed Logan, as he's caught in an arm wringer and into a wristlock... But look at this! Xander with a flip and a roll on the mat- springs to his feet- FLIPS Logan down with an arm wringer reversal! Xander still with Logan by the wrist and springboards- DOWN into a legdrop right across Logan's arm!! What a MOVE!!!
Rick - Xander with an EXCELLENT move there to work Zed's arm, no question- you can see just HOW effective it was by taking a look at the contorted expression of pure anguish on the face of Zed Logan! If there wasn't a fracture in that arm before, Dave, I'd be putting my money on the fact that there is now!
Dave - I wouldn't doubt it! Xander putting on an excellent show here, and that move put an exclamation point on that statement!
Rick - Xander to his feet pulling Logan up by the wrist and from the look on his face, he may want to be eliminating himself sometime soon...
Dave - I have a feeling that it'll be a long time before we ever see EITHER of the Logans or any member of NX, for that matter, getting out of things like that! Each and every one of them is a warrior to the end, and you won't see them giving up. OH!
Rick - And there's the perfect example of that, Dave, as Zed Logan just hammered Xander below the belt! Let's hope that Xander and Anya weren't planning on starting a family any time soon!
Dave - Yikes. Xander HARDLY in a comfortable situation now as he's just collapsed onto the mat in a heap after that low blow from Logan...
Rick - The winner of this one moves on to a match with the winner of our NEXT match and will be competing for the highest prize in wrestling, and if that means a few cheap shots, you can be sure that the low road will be one that the people in this match will be willing to take!
Dave - I suppose you're right. Zed Logan now pulling Xander up off the canvas with his good arm and sends him to the ropes! Xander off the ropes- TAKEN DOWN with the big boot! Logan not letting up and bringing Xander to his feet again- Boot to the midsection by Logan! Xander doubled over... Logan off the mat- OH!! Nails a vicious jumping scissor kick to the back of Xander's head!
Rick - Zed's showing a bit of versatility here by using his legs more for a change and putting them to some good use, as it's Xander now in a fair bit of trouble after having his face driven to the canvas with that last move...
Dave - And speaking of trouble, there's a whole LOAD of trouble brewing now between Rudy Rudos and Ken Jansen, as they've been waging a seesaw battle of their own for a while, and it's looking like Rudos is in control of things right now, with Jansen in a side headlock... And Rudos not hesitating to turn this into a dirty fight either, as he drags Jansen's face across the top ropes!
Rick - That'll sting the eyes!
Dave - Indeed it will- And Rudos follows up with crushing Jansen's face into the turnbuckle! Jansen to the mat holding his eyes, but Rudos right in there and still on the attack and this time with the blatant choke! Rudy Rudos stooping to the level of the lowest common denominator at this point of the match, and dragging this match, and possibly the federation to a whole new low.
Rick - This isn't even an officially an extreme match, Dave, but Rudy Rudos playing it like it is one, and with what's at stake, I can't say that I blame him in the least! The everyday fan can't possibly CONCEIVE of what it's like to be at this level of competition and be this close to possibly getting a shot at the highest award in professional wrestling, otherwise they'd either be in this match, or at least on the Planet Wrestling roster.
Dave - True enough, but there ARE other ways of winning matches. Rudos though not looking for them, as now he's moves from the choke on Jansen to fish-hooking at the PAIN member's mouth!! Never since big "Sycophant" Sid's struggle to regain the E-WCW Trans World Title in his historic, momentous no-holds-barred scaffold match have I seen such a brutal display by a wrestler, and the worst part of it is, I have a feeling that Rudy Rudos isn't done yet!
Rick - You're right, Dave: There's dirty tactics, and then there's what Rudy Rudos is doing here! He's literally trying to peel Ken's face off here! It's a good thing that Jansen's taken some rests during the course of this match, otherwise, I have a feeling that the corner of his mouth would be needing quite a few stitches, as he's been able to fight the digging fingers of Rudos off fairly successfully- OH! And a rake to the eyes by Rudos!
Dave - "New Jersey's First Luchador" really not letting up on Jansen here: he's just peppering him with one lowly cheapshot after another. Maybe Jansen will finally learn a lesson after all of his questionable tactics that he's used in the past... Rudos now, finally pulling Jansen back up- Double knife-edge chop knocks him right back down!
Rick - Somehow I'm doubting that Jansen's going to be "straightening up and flying right" any time soon, Dave, but you have to admit that what Rudos has been doing here tonight is making anything that Jansen's done to this point to look like to works of a saint in comparison.
Dave - And NOW what's Rudos up to? Over in the corner of the ring... Oh my lord: he's trying to expose the steel of one of the top turnbuckles! Rudy Rudos truly looking to punish some bodies here tonight!
Rick - Rudy's working at that turnbuckle, but he'd better keep his eye on Jansen, if he knows what's good for him...
Dave - And SPEAKING of keeping your eye on things, we've just had yet ANOTHER shift in the balance of things in the other duel that's been taking place between Zed Logan and Xander, as Xander has found a way to regain the momentum again.
[The screen splits, to show a replay of what just happened offscreen.]
Rick - Right you are, Dave: Just a few seconds ago, after having been locked into what must have been an EXCRUCIATING scorpion deathlock, Xander managed not only to make his way out of the hold by hooking Zed's foot and throwing him off balance, but when they got to their feet and he was sent to the ropes, he took EVERYONE in the building by surprise with a high-flying crossbody on Zed that knocked the wind out of him.
Dave- And what a flurry of punches he landed after that!
[The screen returns to normal.]
Dave - And Xander in control now and with Logan by the leg- DRIVES the knee the mat! Xander off the ropes- Drops his knee onto Logan's! Xander trying to pick up the pace despite his body likely telling him to slow it down, and he's obviously decided to focus his attack on the big man's legs!
Rick - If he can blow one of Zed's wheels out, the Logan brother will be at a considerable disadvantage, especially with his arm already hurting.
Dave - Indeed he will, Rick, and Xander up again-
Rick - Holy CRAP!
Dave - Did you see THAT?! Xander, pulling energy reserves from out of NOWHERE, just landed a standing moonsault onto Zed Logan's aching ribs! You could practically hear the air rushing from Zed's lungs on impact! That one surprised him, and good!
Rick - He's not the only one who was surprised, Dave: The fans here don't know quite WHAT to think of this situation, as their current favorite in the ring, Zed Logan, is being given quite a thorough and all-inclusive beating package at a low, low price!
Dave - But Xander now just rolling off of Logan, and I think both of these men are needing a breather...
Rick - Over to Rudos and Jansen- Rudy Rudos didn't quite manage to get that turnbuckle quite off, because Jansen has just continued to press and come at him with spurious bouts of offense.
Dave - That's right, Rick- Jansen and Rudos seem to be deadlocked in a matchup of Rudos reducing himself to the lowest of the low, and Jansen trying to wrestle his way back into the match and bring this battle toward the center of the ring.
Rick - And for that second part anyway, he's been quite successful: It's as if he's willing to take some of the pain that Rudos is dishing out, just as long as he can stay as close to the middle of the ring as possible and away from the ropes, and elimination as a result.
Dave - And it may be a good tactic, Rick, but with all the shots the throat that Jansen's been taken, coupled with the cheap shots to the eyes, it HAS to be wearing the man down. OH! And speaking of the cheapshots, there's ANOTHER by Rudos, as he just dropped BOTH knees down onto Ken Jansen's nether-regions!
Rick - And Jansen's manager and wife Valentine isn't too happy with what she's seeing right now, let me tell ya'! I'm actually pretty amazed that "The King of the Barrio Streets" has been able to ignore her as well as he has so far, 'cause when it comes to distractions, Valentine's got the looks and the brains to do the job better than most.
Dave - I know what you mean, Rick- she can most definitely make a man's pro-wrestling commentator job a challenge, let me tell you. And speaking of Jansen's cheering squad, they're still pretty unenthusiastic so far.
Rick - They're not used to seeing their hero in such a tight spot maybe... or perhaps their FORMER hero, considering the way Ken's been treating them lately.
Dave - No kidding: he and Valentine haven't exactly been easy to like for some of their fans as of late. But Valentine looks like she's worried about a lot more than that right about now, as Rudy Rudos is taking this more-or-less no-holds-barred contest to its limits here against her husband, as it's Rudos now, going back once again to a blatant chokehold.
Rick - But don't look now: Xander on his feet again and dropping the falling fist on Zed and hitting the mark! This kid isn't giving up, Dave, you have to give him that!
Dave - I couldn't agree more: Xander's been showing a lot of tenacity here, as well as a number of flurries of spectacular moves. He may not have been a favorite going into this match, and probably still isn't, but I think it fair to say that with the exchange he's been having here Zed Logan, that he's going to be getting some of the PW fanbase's well-deserved respect, that's for sure! Xander pushing himself to his feet again before Logan could make it up- OH! Kicks his foot out from under him with a low dropkick! Xander back up in a hurry and off the ropes- SNAPS down into a legdrop! Xander now rolling Logan over- applies a hammerlock onto the injured arm of "The Black Thunder"!
Rick - Xander playing it very smart here and not only using his speed, but taking a bit of a rest by slapping on a basic hold to hurt Zed more while he's at it! And SPEAKING of playing it smart, Rudy Rudos now looking like he's finally had enough of toying with the badly battered Ken Jansen, pulling "the Heartbeat of Canada" up now and setting him up against the ropes. Rudos obviously looking for the elimination here, but Jansen not saying die and still struggling!
Dave - Right you are, Rick! Rudos trying to lift Jansen up and over the top, but Jansen's holding onto the second rope for dear life and trying to plant a boot in the face of Rudos while he's at it! Rudy Rudos letting-
[CRACK!!!]
Rick - WOAH!!! Did you HEAR that chop that Rudos just plastered Ken with?! Ken Jansen REELING from that, and it's obvious that Rudy Rudos really wants Ken out of there in a bad way! OH!! And ANOTHER knife-edge chop from the Jersey boy!
Dave - Ken Jansen now though firing back with chops of his own! Two! Three!! FOUR!! OH! And a poke to the eyes by Jansen!
Rick - Good ol' thumb to the eye!
Dave - OH!! And a jumping drop toehold like move by Jansen just wrung Rudos' neck across the second rope! Rudos on the mat and gasping for air! And listen to the "Jansenites" at ringside, Rick: they seem to have come alive to some degree after that burst for "The Heartbeat".
Rick - But they're not going to see any followup on that quite yet, Dave: Jansen trying to get some air into his own lungs while licking his wounds that he's suffered so far in this match while Rudos tries to get that windpipe opened back up...
Dave - And back to Xander and Logan... Zed Logan managing to fight his way back to his feet and the crowd is loving it! Zed Logan on his feet, with the much shorter Xander now having to release the hammerlock- but jumps up onto Logan's back for a sleeperhold!! Xander trying desperately to put this giant to sleep and Zed Logan flailing his arms about wildly trying to shake the smaller man off!
Rick - I know I've really been bragging Xander up here, but Zed is really starting to impress me here with the almost inhuman endurance and pain threshold that he's been showing! I SWEAR that he must have been taking some pointers from his NX teammate and newly-crowned Extreme Champion, Matt!
Dave - That may well be the case, Rick: We know what kind of torturous tests that Michaels has been through in his career here in Planet Wrestling with all odds stacked against him, so I'd say that he'd have a few things to teach someone, THAT'S for sure! But Zed Logan right now exhausting an AWFUL lot of energy trying blindly to escape this hold, folks, and no matter what kind of ironman he's proving to be here tonight, I have a feeling that his batteries MUST be running about on empty.
Rick - Looks like you called it, Dave! Zed just dropped to a knee as if on cue, and he's looking weathered, let me tell ya'!
Dave - As well he SHOULD be! Considering the way he was ROBBED of the Trans-World Title in his TABLES MATCH earlier tonight, no less, it's no WONDER that Logan's looking less that rested! I'm STILL amazed that he's even in this match, and that he's made it this far along! But the crowd still behind him, and they're starting to rally for him!!
crowd - Lo-gan! Lo-gan! Lo-gan!
Rick - And I can't believe what we're seeing here, but Zed Logan is fighting to stay awake here!! Trying to pry Xander's mitts off him, but Xander had that sleepehold locked on like a VICE!
Dave - Logan now actually getting back to his feet and the crowd chanting his name louder than ever!! Zed Logan on his feet with Xander handing on to the big man's head and dangling in the air from up there! Logan back- OH!!! Backed Xander right up into the turnbuckles! And again!
Rick - "The Black Thunder" now just GRINDING Xander back into the corner! I think he knocked the wind out of the Maryland native, 'cause he's just not putting up any sort of a fight at this point as Zed's basically leaned forward and drove his backside into Xander's ribs to keep the air out of those lungs! Zed using his size to his advantage very well once again here to stay alive...
Dave - But look out on the other half of the battlefield! It's Rudy Rudos trying to get to his feet, but Ken Jansen now on the attack and keeping him down with some well-placed stomps to the fingers of Rudos!
Rick - Now it's Jansen taking it up a level on the nasty meter and Rudos getting back some of what he was dishing out...
Dave - Jansen pulling Rudos up by the back of his mask- Lays him out again with a kneelift to the face! Jansen on the warpath and pulling Rudos up again! Backhanded chop to the chest of Rudos by Jansen! Jansen now backing Rudos to the turnbuckles! Irish whip toward the corner- MY GOD!!!!
[Crowd responds as if shocked.]
Dave - Dear God, ladies and gentlemen... Ken Jansen just sent Rudy Rudos right into the opposite corner, where Zed Logan had his head down while crushing Xander, and I'm not sure if you were able to hear the absolutely HORRIFIC sound Logan's neck made when Rudos rammed into Logan's head sternum-first, but let's just say that the fans here are hoping that it wasn't as bad as it sounded...
Rick - No kidding: you never like to see something like a man's head snapping forward that way, much less hearing it... Zed Logan down on the mat, and probably passed out from the pain alone. I can't believe that Rudy Rudos is still on his feet, but he's staggering toward dangerous territory in a waiting Ken Jansen- Jansen has him- Flips Rudy down with a belly-to-belly suplex!
Dave - I can't help think about Zed Logan lying there on the mat motionless, Rick... Paramedics are on their way to ringside with a stretcher now and I'm sure that a ref is going to use his judgement here and ask them to remove Logan from the ring.
[Shot cuts to back somewhere, where we see that Zack Logan's, as well as the other NX members' paths are being blocked by a member of the security team.]
Dave - Zack has OBVIOUSLY seen what just happened on a monitor backstage, folks, and he's wanting to come out here to check on his brother, but a security official trying to hold him back to explain to him that he could be disqualified if he goes out there-
security guy - ...Look, I don't know what this is all about, but I'm TELLING you, they'll D.Q. you if you go down there now! Get back to the locker-room, man!
[The screen splits to show the action in the ring, where the paramedics are preparing the stretcher and one is up on the apron, getting ready to get into the ring, but he looks more than hesitant to step into the battlefield...]
Dave - Oh, for the love o' GOD! Just let him go to the ring to see his brother!
Rick - But this could be Zack's only chance to get that all-important title shot! Tell me that Zed wouldn't do the same thing in his shoes!!
Dave - A team of security collecting now behind the first one, but you can't tell me that Zack Logan isn't going to go out there to make sure his brother gets to the hospital?!
Rick - I'm just saying-
Dave - Oh my GOODNESS! I can't believe it: Zack Logan is actually backing off from this security team, turning his back on them AND his own brother!! Zack Logan and NX have never stooped so- OH!!!!
[The fans obviously just saw what happened backstage on the PlanetTron, because they erupt with cheers, as Zack just turned right back around and clobbered the head guard with a thunderous forearm shot to the forehead.]
Dave - Zack Logan just flattened that guard and now NX trying to make their way to the ring through the security team!!
[The camera in the back gets knocked over and the shot snows out. The screen returns to the shot of the ring.]
Rick - But check this out back on the inside, Dave: I don't think that Xander realizes what just happened, and he's pulling Zed off the mat by the hair! Zed Logan seems to be regaining some semblance of consciousness, but he's out on his feet now, Dave! Scooped up by Xander-
Dave - Oh dear GOD! NO!! Xander setting Logan up for the Rock Coffin Driver, his signature cradle piledriver!!! This could end Zed Logan's career in a heartbeat!!!! The paramedics pleading for him not to do it!
Rick - But Xander doesn't know WHAT the heck is going on! I think he's going to do it!! The fans on their feet, and I think that he think they're cheering for him to drive Zed!
[The shot cuts to the top of the ramp, where we see that Zack Logan has managed to struggle his way to the threshold of the curtain leading into the main area of the arena. However, he has about five or six security guys hanging off of him.]
Dave - Zack Logan with a view of the ring and trying furiously to fight his way free to get to Xander in time!!
[Shot cuts to the ring.]
Dave - Xander... OH!!! Xander just dropped Zed Logan on his head with the Rock Coffin Driver, and I know I've thought so before, but the night HAS to be over for Zed Logan at this point! Let's just hope that it's not the end of his career too!
Rick - Xander pulling Zed up by his hair again, and he could be causing FURTHER damage there- setting him up against the ropes- Lifts him up... AND OVER!!!
Pattera - Zed Logan has been eliminated!!!
Rick - And Zack Logan battling his way out onto the ramp now with a swarm of security guys on him, and he's getting dangerously close to eliminating himself here, Dave!
Dave - Can you BLAME him?! He may have just seen his brother's neck BROKEN just moments ago!! Paramedics carefully laying Zed Logan up on the stretcher right now to get him out of there-

Dave - Can it be?! Zack Logan's entrance theme is playing, and that means that HE'S the next man into this tournament! Security officials are finally letting him go!
Rick - But he's STILL going to eliminate himself, Dave! If he doesn't get into the ring in about 25 seconds from now, he can kiss his chances at being named the number one contender goodbye, but he's taking the time to check on his brother!!
Dave - Wouldn't you?! Keeping up with the action on the inside though, it's Xander now with another flurry, double-teaming against Rudy Rudos in a series of stomps along with Ken Jansen! On the outside, it looks like we're going to have Zack Logan accompanying his brother up the ramp and to the hospital... wait just a second! Zed Logan looks like he may be regaining consciousness!! I can't believe the endurance of this man! He's... he's actually talking to his brother Zack!.... I'm not sure what he said, but they're shaking hands... Zed Logan giving the thumbs up!
[The crowd cheers loudly.]
Dave - I'm not sure what Zed Logan said, but I think that "The Blue Thunder" must have his blessing to get himself into this match, because he's returning to ringside!!
Rick - On the inside it's Jansen pulling Rudos up- SLAMS him back down! And Xander on the top ropes- OH!!! Zack Logan just clipped Xander's foot off the turnbuckle and Xander fell FLAT on his face in the ring!!
Dave - Looks like Zack's going to be looking for a little payback!
Rick - But Xander didn't even see what had HAPPENED!! He didn't KNOW that Zed could be seriously injured!... And even if he DID, this is for a shot at the highest award in pro wrestling today, Dave: why SHOULDN'T he be out for blood?!
Dave - Nevertheless, "The Blue Thunder" Zack Logan now sliding into the ring and getting right to work on the prone Xander with a boot to the ribs! Ken Jansen still with Rudos and staying away from the powder keg that is Zack Logan for the time being...
Rick - Zack now pulling Xander to his feet- Sets him up- SPIKES Xander to the mat with a DDT!!
Dave - And Logan up to his feet in a hurry, pulling Xander up- reels him in- BOOM!!! What a short clothesline by Logan!! Zack Logan with fire in his eyes and looking for revenge, without a doubt! Reels Xander up again- ANOTHER clothesline!!
Rick - Xander's in a lot of trouble if he can't recover soon here... But Zack's not thinking quite straight here as he's taking the time to taunt Xander a bit with that NX crotch chop-
crowd - SMEG OFF!!!
Rick - ...instead of moving in for the kill.
Dave - I have to agree with you, Rick: Zack wasting some valuable time here, but after seeing what happened to his brother, he has to have that burning in his mind. But it's Logan now, pulling Xander to his feet once again- setting him up for the side suplex- takes him down with it.
Rick - Zack getting to his feet once again and pulling Xander up with a handful of hair- walking him to the corner- BASHES his face into the tops turnbuckle! Zack lifting his hand and looking to the crowd!
[Crowd howls and cheers in response.]
Dave - This capacity crowd fully behind the "Blue Thunder"!!
[As Zack continues to ram Xander's face into the turnbuckle, the crowd chants in unison.]
crowd - 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! 10!
Dave - Zack Logan taking it to Xander here and REALLY punishing him! Xander looking like his mind has completely left his body right now, and Zack Logan has yet to have had to put up with any sort of offense!
Rick - It's the kind of thing that happens in these kinds of matches, Dave: the fresh man comes in and picks up on the worn competitor after an elimination's been made. That's why getting the later spots can be SO crucial to getting that all-important title shot.
Dave - There's no doubt that Xander's taken his share of lumps so far, but he's getting the beating of a lifetime here, and Zack Logan still isn't finished yet, as he's on his feet once again, and helping Xander to his feet the hard way. Zack Logan setting Xander up- POWERS him down to the canvas with a snap suplex!! Logan turning over and holding on the Xander- he's getting to his feet and setting him up again- takes him down with the vertical suplex this time!! Zack Logan still not letting Xander go and it looks like he's going for the suplex trifecta!! Pulls him up for the vertical- Hold on! Zack just holding Xander up in the air upside down and it looks to be entirely EFFORTLESS!!
Rick - The blood must be rushing to Xander's head, and he'll be feeling it too, if he gets up from this one! Zack rolls him- JACKHAMMERS him down!!
Dave - I'm almost surprised that the ring didn't COLLAPSE under the power of that impact! Zack Logan back up again and running- HO!! From out of NOWHERE, Ken Jansen pulled the top rope down as soon as Logan hit it- but Zack Logan LANDED ON THE RING APRON!! He's still in this- Jansen charging with a clothesline- ducked by Logan! Jansen puts on the brakes- tries a jumping back elbow- OH! It hit the mark, but Zack Logan hanging onto the ropes and still on the apron!! Ken Jansen looking to shove him off, but Zack Logan hanging on as if his life depended on it!! Jansen- Low dropkick knocks Zack's feet of the apron! But Logan still hanging onto the top rope and bending his knees up high, and ladies and gentlemen, his feet ARE NOT TOUCHING THE FLOOR YET!!! Ken Jansen with his hands in the air- he thinks he's eliminated the big man, but the referee at ringside is trying to tell him that the feet of Zack Logan have not yet touched the floor!! Jansen is beside himself! He can't believe it! Ken Jansen now yelling at Pattera to make the elimination announcement! Zack Logan hanging on by a thread and trying desperately to pull himself back up-
Rick - But lookout from behind! Xander spins Jansen around- WOAH!! Took Jansen down with the PANICBREAKER!!! Xander surprising Jansen with Jansen's own signature move!! Not to mention that he saved Zack's skin from being eliminated by Jansen!
Dave - But did Xander even realize that Zack wasn't eliminated yet? I'm not so sure his intentions were so noble as you're trying to make them seem, Rick...
Rick - What the heck are you talking about? If it wasn't for Xander, we'd have one more NX'er out of the match!
Dave - True enough... Xander now going to work on Jansen... Pulls him up- whips him to the turnbuckles! Xander charging in- jumps in- hurricanrana by Xander on Jansen!!
Rick - Ken Jansen in the center of the ring now and Xander scaling the ropes- Moonsault- LANDS IT!! What a move!
Dave - But look at this! Zack Logan on the apron and climbing to the top now too!! Zack Logan- WITH A MOONSAULT OF HIS OWN- LANDS ON TOP OF BOTH XANDER AND JANSEN!! UNBELIEVABLE! There's a pile of bodies in the middle of the ring a few feet tall, and Rudy Rudos is the only one of these four not involved in what looks like a GHASTLY mess of carnage!
Rick - That's because "The King of the Barrio Streets" is still recovering from the comeback that Ken Jansen was laying down on him, but now it's Ken Jansen who's laying at the bottom of a pile of nearly 600 pounds of body mass!
Dave - And Rudy Rudos, even though he must be tired as one of the two remaining from the original four, he's moving in once again... Zack Logan pulling himself off the pile and Rudos from behind- ho my goodness! Hammered home a double-fisted low blow on the big man: Rudos just unmerciful in his attack.
Rick - When this much is on the line, and you're at as big of a disadvantage as he is, Dave, all things considered, he hardly has a choice in the matter!
Dave - What are you talking about?! As if the attack from behind isn't bad enough, he has to hit the man below the belt too? We've seen that Rudos has some real talent, but he's just taking the easy way out instead. I think it's despicable, and from the boos he's getting from the fans as he taunts Logan on the mat, I think it's fair to say that they mostly agree.
Rick - Well like him or hate him, Rudos is getting the results here so far with two eliminations to this point. Setting Zack up from behind- Atomic drop by Rudos! Yowch. And Rudos now spins Zack around- BLISTERING chops to the chest and midsection! It's like a battle of David versus Goliath here, as the much smaller Rudy Rudos is backing the beastly Zack Logan into the corner and still a-hammering away at the big man! Zack Logan literally on the ropes here and absorbing an awful lot of punishment! Rudos now up on the bottom rope and with a hand wrapped around Zack's throat, going yet AGAIN to the blatant choke for the umpteenth time tonight!
Dave - I'm hardly expecting to see ANYTHING more scientific that a choke, a low blow or an eye gouge for the rest of this match from Rudos, Rick: it's pretty obvious that integrity is FAR less important to this man than the World Heavyweight Championship is to this man.
Rick - I keep telling you, Dave: there's not a man in this match that doesn't have the same "at-all-costs" attitude. If they've not played it the same way as Rudos to this point, it's probably because they've just not seen the opportunity yet.
Dave - Well, I beg to differ, but- Look at this! Zack Logan with a flash of energy hoisting Rudos up onto this shoulder- OH!! Pancakes him to the canvas with a spinebuster!! Zack Logan on the followup with Rudos by the ankles- flips him over- sitting down now into a Boston crab! And it's Rudy Rudos with nowhere to run: making contact with the ropes isn't going to help him out in this contest!
Rick - "The King of the Barrio Streets" is in a tight spot now, that's for sure! With all that weight down onto his back, he's not going to be a happy camper once he gets out of this hold!
Dave - Indeed he won't! And take a look now at Xander testing his legs out again and helping Jansen off the canvas... After being flattened under not one, but TWO moonsaults, Jansen's insides must be like jelly!
Rick - Well, his legs are, that's for sure. From being played like a pinata by Rudos to everything else he's bene through in this match, Jansen's lucky not to have joined Zack's brother at the hospital yet.
Dave - Too true. Xander though now spinning Jansen around- waistlock from behind- Jansen with a desperation back elbow- Xander counters- HO! Puts Jansen into the mat face-first with a forward Russian legsweep! Jansen checking his face for blood and he was right to do so, too: looks like Xander tore loose a stitch or too from the cut made by Jansen's run-in earlier with Swanson's staple gun!
Rick - It's not a seriously re-opened, but I have a feeling that it could be made worse before the night's over with!
Dave - And Xander may well be responsible for that too, Rick: he's going back up to the top once again, where he's been SO dangerous from so far in this match- HO!! And this time is no different, as he caught Jansen with a BEAUTIFUL missile dropkick!
Rick - And came close to knocking Jansen to up and over the top, but Jansen was able to regain his balance with back pressed up against the ropes. Jansen trying to shake the cobwebs loose, but Xander unrelenting here- Irish whip on Jansen- Jansen puts on the brakes for the reversal! Xander off the ropes- drop toehold by Jansen! And this is where Ken Jansen has proven to be so lethal, Dave: on the mat.
Dave - And it looks like Jansen's going to go to what he does best in a hurry too: folding Xander's legs up for the submission- OH! Stiff jab to the kidney area by Jansen! Jansen now hooking Xander by the chin and knees- rolls onto his own back- and what a painful hold that has to be!
Rick - It's an bow-and-arrow type hold, with his knees driven into Xander's back- and the thing is that "The Heartbeat of Canada" doesn't even have to worry about PINNING himself here, giving him extra leverage for a hold like this!
Dave - I'd never thought of that, but you're absolutely right! Ken Jansen ever the savvy ring technician has Xander in quite the precarious, and painful position!
Rick - And speaking of PAINFUL, and can you believe that Zack STILL has Rudy Rudos in that Boston crab?! Rudy's body is as malleable as melted better, Dave: I think he lost consciousness a little while ago, but Zack's still putting the pressure on!
Dave - I can just imagine how Rudy's manager, Scooter, is feeling right now! I'll bet he wishes that he'd have taken it a little bit easier earlier in the match, and he might have been here to encourage his man in the late goings of this match.
Rick - And speaking of encouragement, Dave, take a gander at the ringside "Jansenites", would ya'? It seems that the longer this match goes on, the more enthusiasm they show. They actually applauded Jansen's nice use of the bow-and-arrow submission for a few seconds.
Dave - Still, I can't blame them for hardly getting into their "hero" or his performance, considering how he treats them sometimes. Uh-oh! Looks like Zack Logan's had enough of the Boston crab. I have a feeling that we'll be seeing Rudy Rudos waking up at ringside and eliminated soon... wait just a second- Logan off of Rudos and making his way toward Jansen and Xander- OH dear God!! That was absolutely VICIOUS!
Rick - I have this feeling that forgiving and forgetting aren't high up on Zack's priority list when it comes to Xander, Dave... Even IF Xander didn't know that Zed was already injured. But what an axe kick that he crushed down onto Xander's chest just a moment ago! He may have caused Jansen to release his submission, but I have a feeling that Xander felt more pain with that one kick to his prone body than he has in his entire PW career.
Dave - You're not KIDDING! Talk about devastating: Xander's ribs won't be the same after that move, that's for sure! That kick could probably have broken through solid concrete, much less bone. Xander on the mat and just writhing in agony now... Ken Jansen to his feet and right up in Logan's face- Logan just shoves him directly to the mat! And look at the expression on Jansen's face: he wasn't expecting that! Zack Logan yelling and pointing at Jansen now, who's pleading for mercy or forgiveness or something from his knees and trying to shield himself from attack... "The Blue Thunder" winding up- HA! Gives him the crotch chop instead!
crowd - SMEG- OH!!!
Rick - And Zachary payed for THAT one, Dave! Jansen didn't hesitate at ALL on that opening to try to ram Zack's boys into his chest!
Dave - [pauses for a second] Right you are, Rick... Logan down to his knees know and wincing in some terrible pain, you can imagine...
Rick - I'd rather not, if it's just the same to you. But look at this: Xander's coughing up a storm trying to get his air back, but he's actually pulling himself up with the help of the ropes, Dave!
Dave - But if Logan catches wind of this, he's hardly in the best of spots to be, Rick! He could be eliminated with a simple lariat! Zack turning around- he's spotted Xander, Rick, and just LOOK at the hatred burning in his eyes! He has a lot of anger built up, and he's ready to take Xander out!
Rick - Blue Thunder moving in- boot to the midsection by Zack! Has him doubled over- standing headscissor- Xander ready to go for the ride! Powerbomb pickup- Zack stalling... HOLY!! WOW what an impact! But I can't believe it, Dave! Zack spun with that powerbomb, but he could have, just as easily sent Xander to the mats on the outside with that move! He should have eliminated him while he had the chance!
Dave - Seems obvious to me that Zack's on a mission to avenge his brother, and I think that he's far from through with Xander yet!
Rick - With.... my God... Still FOURTEEN competitors left to eliminate BESIDES Xander, he shouldn't have looked the gift horse in the mouth, Dave!
Dave - As much as I understand how much he must be looking for a dose of revenge, it could have been delivered at another time, certainly! Whatever the case, it's Zack Logan hauling the battered Xander up off the mat- raises him up off the mat with an elevated bearhug!!
Rick - This has to be absolutely EXCRUCIATING for Xander after all the recent damage that's been done to his ribs in this match...
Dave - And take a look at this- off the ropes it's Ken Jansen- RIPS Xander down out of the air with a jumping clothesline!! That one took Logan down because of the momentum, but there's no question at all that Xander took all of that blow- Jansen practically freed Xander's head from his shoulders!
Rick - But Zack back up again and once again yelling at Jansen to tell him that Xander's all his. And it looks like Jansen won't be needing any more reminders, 'cause he's backing off already. Look like he's going to go back to duking it out with Rudy Rudos from the looks of it, Dave.
Dave - Not that there's much "duking" left to do on "New Jersey's First Luchador", Rick: the man's been decimated tonight at the hands of a number of opponents so far in this match, most recently by Zack Logan. I'd say it's time for Rudos to be calling it a night, so that he can live to fight another day... Jansen pulling Rudos up, but he's not having an easy time here.
Rick - It's like Jansen's lifting a corpse, Dave. The expression of "dead weight" is surprisingly true, and believe me that even a man of Rudos' size, about the same height and weight as Jansen, can't be an easy feat if you're as tired as Jansen has to be at this point... Here's a frightening thought: what happens when the six MILLION pounder, Mr. Obesity himself, Hank Albert steps into the ring?! Will they EVER be able to forklift his burly butt over the top?...
Dave - That remains to be seen, but Jansen having his work cut out for him now in trying to pry Rudos off of the mat... He may need a spatula!
Rick - Well he's not going to stand for this all day, and finally Jansen yanking Rudos up by the seat of his tights... setting Rudos up to dump him over the top with an atomic-drop-like pickup- NO! Rudy BLOCKED! Ken Jansen can't believe it, and truth be old, anyone paying attention to these two must be feeling the same way. Jansen though easily flattens Rudos with a side elbow to the head.
Dave - You're right though, Rick: I'm sure that the majority of the fans are paying attention to the scuffle between Xander and "The Blue Thunder" Zack Logan at the moment.
Rick - Well, they're missing an excellent skirmish over on the other side of the ring, where Rudos is trying desperately, but futilely to claw his way back into contention in this one.
Dave - But take a look at this- Xander, on the other side of the ring mounting a comeback of his own- rolling out of the arm wring- leaping to his feet- running with Logan by the wrist! Leaps- walking the ropes- springboard- turns it around- hurricanrana by Xander off of the center of the top rope!!! This man is nothing shot of amazing! Even Jansen took a moment to get a load out that unbelievable display! OH!!!
Rick - And he just payed for it too, with a good cuff across the ear from Rudos. Lose your focus for a second in a match like this, and it can cost you- OUCH! Spoke too soon by the looks of it!
Dave - Wow! You're telling me: After that blow to the ear, Ken Jansen rifled back with a backhand swing that laid Rudos out once again! Jansen's ear has to be ringing though as he holds onto it as he pulls Rudos back up... Zack Logan back on his feet on the other side of the ring, as is Xander. Xander looking worse for the wear, but Logan starting to wonder what it's going to take to finish the man from Maryland off. And with all these dangerous bursts out of the blue, I'm betting that he's thinking twice about his decision of not eliminating Xander when he had the chance! And like it or not, I think that Logan's gotten Xander on HIS bad side now! Logan charging- BOWLS Xander over with a clothesline!! It's Xander on the canvas now, and Logan scaling the ropes for the high-risk maneuver!! Zack Logan- HOLY MOLEY!!!
Rick - Sweet baby JESUS!!! Suicidal corkscrew plancha there by big Zack, and he tore through Xander like a HURRICANE!! And it shouldn't be to ANYONE'S surprise that both men are quite slow in getting up after that one!
Dave - Zack Logan proving that he's a force to be reckoned with here, almost looking like he's trying to show Xander up, blow for blow!
Rick - At the other end of the ring, I think that Jansen's had about enough of Rudy Rudos as he'd care to as he shoves him over and in between Logan and Xander! SPEAKING of bad sides, this is NOT the side of the ring that Rudos want to be on right now, as once again, it's Ken Jansen backing away for the refuge of a neutral corner!
Dave - You're not kidding: Rudos though hardly in neutral territory: he's in the middle of a war zone, between to rabid wolves ready to pounce on each other! Xander and "The Blue Thunder" starring each other down, their teeth gnashed, circling like two caged animals- but check it out! They're converging on Rudos instead!!
Rick - And they're beating the living DAYLIGHTS out of the guy! Both of these men stomping the life out of "The King of the Barrio Streets" and it's Zack pulling Rudos up now... picking him up- SPINS him around with a big right hand to the jaw! OH! And Xander turned him right back around with a lovely standing sidekick!! Rudos stumbling back toward Logan like a rubber zombie!
Dave - And he's RIFLED with a tornado punch for his trouble, and sent staggering back to Xander! Rudy Rudos out on his feet, being used as a human pinball here!! Boot to the midsection by Xander doubles Rudos over! And in steps Logan- lifts him up- Rudos looking like he's in for the ThunderCracker in short order, here! But Xander signaling to Logan for something: I think we're going to see Xander with an assist on a SPIKED ThunderCracker!! Can you believe that these two are going to work TOGETHER?!
Rick - I wonder what Zed'll think of tha-
Dave - Logan with Rudos! Xander jumps- SPIKES Rudos for the Thudershocker!!!! Rudos not moving a muscle!! He's down for the count folks, THAT much is for sure! The pair now raising their hands victoriously, but this match is far from done, Rick.
Rick - Uh-oh! Ken's realizing that Zack and Xander have a new target, and that HE'S it!! Logan moving in slowly and Jansen trying to fake him out with half-steps and head fakes, but Logan doesn't seem to be paying them much attention to them as he backs the Heartbeat into the corner- Logan swings- and misses! Jansen just escaped between Logan's legs, but Xander there to cut him off at the pass before he was able to get up, with a swift boot to the head!
Dave - And Zack Logan turning around to join in on the carnage and now it's Ken Jansen being stomped all the way to CHINA by a two men who were at each other's throats mere moments ago!
Rick - Actually, I heard that if you dug a hole through the center of the Earth from this part of the world that you'd end up in Australia...
Dave - WherEVER Jansen ends up, you can be sure that it'll be in a world of hurt, no matter WHAT country it's in! Jansen being given zero time to recover now, and I'm betting that he'd have just kept Rudos to himself a while back!
Rick - But had he eliminated Rudos, he'd probably be duelling with somebody fresh, especially if Xander and Logan would still have been locking horns- it might have been a good decision-
Dave - Just LOOK at the man! SURE he's not looking as ghastly as Carson was earlier tonight, but he's being run ragged by the pair of Xander and Logan, that's for sure! They're actually COMMUNICATING with one another right now, if you can believe it! It's Logan pulling "The Heartbeat of Canada" to his feet and setting him up... Lifts- DOWN with the spike powerbomb!!! Jansen just bounced off the mat like he was made of RUBBER, Rick!
Rick - These two have really gotten their act together, there's no question about that, Dave: now it's just a matter of taking out the trash.
Dave - I couldn't have put it better myself. And I think that Xander's suggesting one last hit to seal the deal... pulling Jansen up and hooking his arms behind his back, presenting Jansen as an easy target for Logan. Logan to the opposite end of the ring- HO! Stomps Rudos for good measure first! Now cocking his arm and charging for the punch on Jansen- NO! Jansen wrestled free- ducked- Logan leaps to avoid him- collides with Xander- OH my GOODNESS!!..... They- OH!!!! Say it ain't so!!
Pattera - Both Xander and Zack Logan are ELIMINATED!!!
Dave - DAMMIT!! They were SO close to getting rid of BOTH Rudos and Jansen!
Throttle - 09-17-00 Stretcher Match: Xander vs. Zack "Blue Thunder" Logan
[The bell rings.]
Pattera - The following stretcher match is scheduled for ONE fall...
[The bell rings. "Why I'm Here" by Oleander starts to play and the lights dim... A portion of the crowd cheers...]
Pattera - In the ring at this time, managed by Anya, weighing in at 235 pounds, from Burkittsville, Maryland, he is Xaaaaaaanderrrrrrrr!!!
[Spotlights focus their light on Xander, who bounces from one side of the ring to the other, loosening up for the match.]
Dave - It shouldn't be any surprise, that although Xander is getting some fan support here, that since he made no apologies for what he did to Zack's brother Zed, that he's not getting NEARLY as much cheers from the fans as he could be, considering he'd had such a respectable showing in the Battle for the Crown 20-man gauntlet match! Heck, by the end of her match, Anya was getting a much better reaction from the fans!
Rick - If you ask me, Xander deserves MORE respect than the guys from NX do, Dave: He showed everybody one helluva' performance at the Pay Per View! Just because he hurt a few people and made a few enemies in the process doesn't mean he's not a great wrestler. And he's not been here NEARLY the length of time that people like Zack and Zed Logan have, so just THINK of how good he could be down the road.
[The music cuts, and is interrupted by "Beautiful People" by Marliyn Manson. The crowd, seemingly in its entirety, gets to its feet and cheers wildly, waving about various bits of NX paraphenalia...]
Pattera- And on his way to the ring, 342 pounds, from St Louis, MO, representing New Generation X, he is Zack "Bllllllllllue Thunnnnderrrr" Looooooooooogannn!!!
[Zack walks out from behind the curtains, smiles at the crowd, gives the crotch chop.]
Zack Logan and crowd - [in unison] SMEG OFF!!!
[Again, the fans cheer like crazy.]
Dave - And much as expected, Zack Logan is by FAR the fan favorite here, considering the bad blood between these two!
Rick - Not only that, Dave, but they had better be getting their cheering for NX in now: I'm not sure if they'll know WHO to cheer for when it comes time for the Extreme Championship match later tonight!
Dave -You're right Rick, but for the mostpart, they have their minds set here, anyway! Even still, Xander is in the ring trying to get the fans behind him, with the help of Anya on the outside... It may be doing some good, but NX's Zack Logan still with the crowd backing him up!
Rick - And it looks like he's had about enough of Xander in the ring, Dave! He's up on the apron- and gives him the NX crotch chop!
crowd - SMEG OFF!!
Dave - I'm doubting that Zack Logan will be clapping for Xander tonight, anyway!
Rick - And here comes Xander! Zack with the big swing- Xander ducks it and nails a shoulder to the midsection! Zack hanging on to the ropes, though! Grappling now with the ropes between them- guillotine across the top rope by Zack!
Dave - Xander down and holding his throat, and Zack Logan pulling him to the outside!
[The bell rings.]
*** Xander vs. "The Blue Thunder" Zack Logan - Stretcher Match ***
Rick - There's the bell: I guess that referee Danny Dickson is figuring that since this IS a stretcher match, that there's no time like the present to get this one started! Zack Logan pulling Xander up- whips him into the steel steps!
Dave - Logan following him over there like a man possessed, folks! Bringing Xander to his feet with a handful of hair- smashes his face onto the ring apron! Xander gripping his face and Logan from behind- DOWN to the ringside mats with the side suplex!! Zack Logan grabbing the decisive early advantage, here... With Xander again- Irish whip into the steel rail!! Xander taking quite a beating here! Zack Logan- CLOTHESLINES Xander into the crowd! The fans are LOVING this, Rick! I can hardly hear myself THINK!
Rick - And look at this! A fan with an NX shirt getting up and HANDING his steel chair over to Zack! Zack folding it up- BELTS Xander across the back with it!
Dave - Xander being absolutely destroyed right in the second row of the Planet Dome, and it's not looking good for him right now at ALL!
Rick - Maybe that Denny's diet wasn't the best regimen he could be on... Zack motioning to the ringside fans to clear out of their seats while he's pulling Xander back up and- Oh GOD no! He's going to end it now with a powerbomb onto one of these chairs! Zack with the pickup- NO!!! Xander with the backbody drop counter sends Zack crashing into a chair and to the concrete floor! Looks like I may have spoken too soon about the food!
Dave - And Xander off a chair- twists off the rail- LEGDROP down onto Logan! Unbelievable!! Rick - He's holding his back now, Dave, but what a great second effort there to make sure that Zack would stay down by Xander.
Dave - But look at this: Zack trying to get up despite the flurry of punishment he's just endured! Xander to his feet and pulling him up by the hair- OH!!!
Rick - Zack opting for the ol' drink in the face trick there- BAM!! And he finished it off with a vicious clothesline to bring Xander back to the floor!
Dave - And Zack Logan holding his back too now after slamming through the steel chair and to the floor, but now kicking Xander over onto his stomach! Zack now with Xander by the ankles- leans back into the Boston crab! And listen to Xander screaming! You can even hear it over the cheers of the fans!!
Rick - He's in a lot of pain, that's for sure, and there's nowhere to run either! No ropes to grab for a break, no submission: This one's only over for him when either he or Zack is loaded up into the ambulance on the stretcher!
Dave - Right you are, Rick! And Zack leaning back into the hold for all he's worth! Xander clawing at the ground, trying desperately to get away!
Rick - Look out: here comes Anya! Apparently she's seen enough! She's hopped over the steel rail, and now SHE has a steel chair!
Dave - But Danny Dickson BRAVELY getting between her and Zack Logan! That's not a spot he wants to be for too long, folks...
Rick - But Zack's getting the hint, it would appear, Dave: he's freeing Xander up from that Boston crab so he can work him over some more, I guess.
Dave - Anya backing off a bit for now, but it's Zack Logan still in control of things here and hitting Xander with some swift stomps to the back for good measure... Zack now with Xander- Whips him to the rial- Xander crashing into it, and over, back to ringside!! What power these Logan brothers have!
Rick - And Zack following Xander right back over the rail and now climbing up onto the ring apron- HOLY CRAP!! Zack Logan with a moonsault off the apron and onto Xander! I think he may have clubbed his feet on the guardrail, though- he must have underestimated the arc of this fall or something...
Dave - But let's face it: a man his size wasn't meant to be jumping around in closed quarters like that anyway! I'd wager that he knew very well he'd hurt himself with that move, but that he'd hurt Xander even more!
Rick - Well, whatever the case, Zack's getting to his feet pretty gingerly, and now he's on his way over here! Uh... Call me when it's all over, Dave!
[A thump is heard.]
Dave - Well, it looks like my broadcasting colleague is taking an unscheduled vacation, folks, so I'm going to be on my own for a little bit, as Zack Logan is on his way toward our announcers' table- Zack Logan now shoving the timekeeper off his chair! Logan folding the steel chair up.. But he's hesitating and putting the steel chair down... he eyeing the timekeeper, and there he goes! The timekeeper was trying to pick up some speed, but Zack has him by the collar! Tugs him in and presses the man high above his head!! Zack Logan with the timekeeper raised in the air and making his way back toward Xander who's starting to stir... Zack Logan - SLAMS the timekeeper onto Xander! Zack Logan out of control, and I can assure everyone that he will be handed a hefty fine for these actions! Rick Richards now rejoining me... Can you believe what you just SAW Rick?
Rick - Zack's looking like a wild, wounded animal, Dave! Never before have I seen him this angry!
Dave - Zack Logan gripped with rage here, and focusing it all on his opponent. And this isn't even a TITLE MATCH or anything, folks! I guess that "The Blue Thunder" is trying to send out a message that says "don't mess with the Logan brothers", or SOMETHING!
Rick - I'm not sure how clear Xander's reading it though, Dave; heck, I'm not so sure he's even CONSCIOUS anymore!
Dave - The timekeeper rolling off Xander in pain, and I have a feeling that HE may need a stretcher too, folks... Zack Logan now pulling Xander off the floor and scoops him up- RAMS Xander's back into the ringpost!! Xander being DECIMATED at the hands of Logan!
Rick - I really didn't expect the match to go this way at all, Dave: Xander was taken by surprise from the get-go, and Zack Logan has been like a one-man torture chamber ever since!
Dave - But don't look now, here comes Anya once again, with steel chair in hand!
Rick - I'm not sure if she really knows how to use that thing, but Zack's not taking any chances, that's for sure! He's telling the referee to keep her away, but Dickson's not looking like he's going to do anything at all!
Dave - I don't think he's at all pleased with how the timekeeper was treated, Rick, but you'll notice the healthy distance he's maintaining from Logan...
Rick - He's no dummy, that's for sure...
Dave - Anya with that chair- tosses it over Loagn's head- Logan turns- Xander- WOAH!!
Rick - What a GREAT move there on Xander's part! Zack was spinning around, and anticipating that Xander was going to catch the chair and hammer him with it was shielding his head! But Xander didn't even GO for the chair, and instead caught Zack by surprise by picking him up and planting him with a LIGHTNING QUICK Death Valley Driver! Unbelievable! Just unbelievable!
Dave - Both men lying on the ringside mats battered and bruised, and I'd go as far as to say that both one of them could afford to be stretchered out of here at about this point!
Rick - And now the ref's deciding to take a step in between Anya and the two bodies here at ringside, which is probably a good thing for Zack, 'cause she looks ready to tear him a new one.
Dave - You said it, Rick. Xander not looking very good at all, but he's getting back to his feet once again. How the PW superstars can come back from such violent beatings, I'll never know.
Rick - It's all about how much you want the win, Dave, that's all there is to it. Xander back up and now he's going for the ringsteps! He's setting them down beside Zack. What are we going to see here?
Dave - Xander's innovative, Rick, I'm not sure WHAT to expect. Pulling Logan up now- Side Russian legsweep into the steel rail! Zack Logan must be tugging at what threads of consciousness he has left to try to hang on, but I'm not sure f it'll be enough, folks! Xander now pressing the ringsteps against Logan's body, so that he's between them and the rail- And now he dropkicks the steps, sandwiching Zack between the steel!!
Rick - Xander looks like he can put this one away if he doesn't waste too much time.
Dave - I don't know, Rick. Zack may still have a few tricks up his sleeve yet...
Rick - Xander now pulling Zack up onto his knees- Snapmares him over onto the stretcher! Xander now making his way over here! Jesus! He's climbing our announcer's table- LORDY!! What a swandive senton splash there by Xander onto the stretcher!!! He didn't have much height to hit that move, but he just BARELY pulled it off nonetheless! I sensing good things to come for this guy, Dave.
Dave - You and me both, Rick. And he may be putting a huge feather in his cap here by defeating a former Trans World Champion in a stretcher match here tonight! Xander collecting Zack Logan up on the stretcher and strapping him in there. I don't think he got all the clasps on him yet, but he's hauling him up the ramp to finish this one!
Rick - Maybe Zack shouldn't have agreed to this match...
Dave - It's not necessarily over yet: the rules state that he still has to load him up into the ambulance to be declared the winner. They're going into the back now with Anya following behind, but take a look at Logan! He's actually trying to unbuckle himself from the stretcher!!
Rick - But he's not far from the ambulance now, Dave. It's right around the next corn-
Dave - WOAH!! What the?!- Who WAS that?!?!!
Rick - I don't know: someone just blasted through Anya with a LETHAL superkick! Holy crap! It's Ravenger! Ravenger LEVELED Anya with a Ravenger Kick out of nowhere! Xander turning around to find out what the heck is going on and he sees Anya on the floor with Ravenger right there! He's charging- RAMS Ravenger's spine into the wall!
Dave - Xander now tending to Anya while the referee tries to get Ravenger the heck away from here. New Generation X's Ravenger getting involved in this one for what may end up being a big save for the NX leader, but this isn't at all his style, Rick.
Rick - Like I said before, Dave, it's all about who wants it more, I guess. Ravenger knew that it was his only opportunity to distract Xander to maybe give Zack some time to recov-
Dave - LOOK OUT!!! OH!!!!
Rick - My GOD!! Kama coming from behind on Xander and blowing him away with a steel chair while he was trying to revive Anya! Talk about buying Zack some time! Kama now pulling Xander up- scoops him up- SLAMS him down onto the concrete floor!! The AngelKillers are on the loose and Xander is in a WHOLE lot of trouble, Dave!
Dave - You're not kidding! The referee now coming back and trying to get Kamakize away from Xander now, but the damage has already been done. Xander's down and hurt, and the Blue Thunder has freed himself from the stretcher's bindings.
Rick - And he looks pissed, Dave.
Dave - Indeed he does as he makes his way toward Xander. Scoops him up and has him on the shoulder... Running- POWERSLAM onto the stretcher! And THAT folks, may be all she wrote for Xander!
Rick - And Zack's even starting to strap him into the stretcher and everything, Dave! I just can't believe that the AngelKillers got involved in this!
Dave - You and me both, and from the reaction of most of the fans, they aren't terribly keen on it either. Zack strapping Xander in tight and locking up the bindings...
Rick - I guess they had one thing on their minds, and that was revenge, plain and simple.
Dave - I guess so... And from the looks of it, Zack's not done with that part of things either! He's kicking a prone and helpless Xander, who's tied onto the stretcher and couldn't defend himself if his life depended on it!
Rick - And unlike the shoddy, quick job that Xander had done to just wheel Zack into the loading area, Xander has been fastened to that thing, and TIGHT!
Dave - He's not going anywhere but to the ambulance at to the hospital, that's for sure! And now get a load of THIS!! Zack Logan just kicked the stretcher over and now he's picking it up and PRESSING it over his head! Another incredible demonstration of that Logan power gene, I guess! Now he's carrying him like that around the corner and toward the waiting ambulance- MY LORD!!! Zack Logan just SMASHED Xander's face against the corner edge of the rear of the ambulance, then let the stretcher crash to the floor!! Zack Logan is out of control!
Rick - He's rolling the stretcher and Xander over, Dave, and take a look at the bloody dent in Xander's forehead! I think he was trying to throw him into the back of the opened ambulance, but banged Xander's head-
Dave - I hardly think that was a miscalculation! I'd say that Logan was out for blood, and for vengeance, and now he's getting it! Zack Logan FINALLY loading Xander into the ambulance and shutting the doors... YES!
[The bell rings.]
Pattera - Your winner, Zack "Blue Thunder" Looooooooogaaaaaaannn!!!
["Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson plays... The shot cuts from Zack's arm being raised by the ref, and the ambulance driving off, to the ringside announcer's table.]
Rick - MAN, what a match.
Dave - You're not kidding! Though I think we saw a meaner, darker side to Zack Logan and New Generation X here, nonetheless, it's Logan coming out on top and taking the win. Still, you have to wonder what WOULD have been, had the 'Killers not interfered in the match.
Rick - Maybe they just figured that they were evening the odds a bit, considering that Anya was hanging around at ringside, I don't know, but it should be interesting to hear what they have to say about this match after the show's over.
Dave -I'll say, but what about what XANDER and ANYA will have to say! I have a feeling that it'll be them looking for revenge next time!
Shockwave - 11-01-01 Xander vs. Akira "Kamakazi" Takahasi
Dave - I'm not getting any information on that yet, Rick, but we'll be sure to keep the viewers at home updated on this situation as it progresses... But up next ladies and gentlemen, we have a fine match for you in a rivalry that's been building ever since LAST Throttle. Up next it's Xander versus New Generation X's AngelKiller Akira "Kamakize" Takahashi!
Rick - Pattera's already in the ring, but let me say that I wonder what Xander's going to have in store for Kama THIS time! LAST time he turned the tide of Kama's match with a monkeywrench, allowing Anya to bring home the win! Let's see what he has up his sleeve THIS time, or what Kama has cooked up, for that matter!
[The bell rings. And the shot cuts to the ring.]
Pattera - This next match is a scheduled for one fall......
Pattera - ["Halls of Illusion" By Insane Clown Posse starts to play A sign reads "Kamakize will lose!"] Ladies and Gentlemen, from Tokyo, Japan, Followed to the ring by Markus Draknor and Ravenger, Introducing Akira "Kaaaaaaamanakize" Takahaaaaaashi!!!
[Kamakize makes his way to the ring.]
Pattera - And his opponent, ["Why I'm Here" by Oleander starts to play ...] Accompanied to the ring by Anya, ladies and gentlemen, from Burkittsville, Maryland, he is Xaaannnnndeeerrr!!!
[The chants overpower the announcement]
[Xander and Anya walk to the ring. Xander slides in. The Bell Rings and the match officially begins.]
*** Akira "Kamakize" Takahashi vs. Xander ***
Rick - Kama with a wild swing right away- stuns Xander with it! HO! Now a two-handed choke here by Kamakize- his hands are batted away- Jawbreaker by Xander! Nice counter! Xander with a somersault and to his feet. Now with a head full of steam- Springboard off the ropes- LANDS the moonsault! And it's Xander up first and bringing Takahashi to his feet the hard way- OH!! What a short clothesline by Xander!! Kamakize is down, and Xander looking good early.
Dave - Takahashi trying to push himself to his feet.. Xander just waiting for him- OH! Quick shot to the kidney area there by Takahashi! Xander didn't like that one bit, and now we've got a stare down.
Rick - They're circling like caged animals... Running clothesline knocks Xander down hard!!
Dave - Xander back to his feet. They're locking up! Xander comes out with a half nelson forcing Kamakize to one knee! WOW- Rolled across Kama's BACK!- Flies at Kama- Corkscrew hurricanrana by Xander!! Where does he GET these moves?!! Takahashi trying to get to his feet- But Xander drags him right back down with a clothesline!
Rick - Both men now slow to get up... And it's Xander up first and helping Takahashi to his feet- Small package by Takahashi! 1-2- NO! Xander barely kicked out! It's Takahashi to his feet first this time! Xander up- but he's flattened with a standing sidekick! Xander rubbing at his face and checking for blood, but I don't think he's opened up- at least not yet! Kama taunting the fans now a bit, but going right back for Xander and pulling him up by the hair- OH!! Thumb to the eye by Xander to back Kama off! Xander now- Dropkick to the knee takes Kamakize down!
Dave - And it's Xander springing to his feet! Senton splash! Hooks the leg on the back press: 1... 2... Th- NO! He almost had him! Xander pulling Kamakize up with a front facelock- and they're right back down with a vertical suplex from Xander...
Rick - Xander slowing the pace down a bit here as he's driving a knee into the spinal area of Kama's back... Releasing the hold though, now and Kamakize pushing himself up- Xander HAULS him down with a lunging clothesline!
Dave - Kama may want to get the licence plate number on THAT truck... Xander to his feet first and he has Kama by the ankle- Spinning toe hold applied! Kama struggling! Xander drops the elbow!
Rick - And Xander back up once again and off the ropes- HEY!! Ravenger just tripped him up! But the ref didn't see a thing! Come on referee!
Dave - But Takahashi's back up in a flash while Xander argues with the ref and points at Draven... Takahashi off the rope and charging in from behind- Schoolboy rollup by Kamakize! 1... 2- Xander kicks out at two! Kamakize back up with Xander by the ankle- drops a knee on Xander's lower leg! Xander obviously feeling the effects of that blow, and Kama working the leg with a spinning toehold- But Xander kicks him off and into the ropes! Xander gingerly to his feet- Kama rushing in with a kick- Xander caught it- Whips him down to the mat with a dragon leg whip!
Rick - Xander now applying a reverse chin lock on Takahashi trying to wear him down. Xander really leaning on Kamakize so that he's carrying all the weight. Kama now struggling free... shaking it off... Both men slow to their feet here, but getting their footing around the same time... Dave - How can you BLAME them Rick? Considering Kama's recent turning his back on the fans along with the remaining NX members, they'll cheer for ANYONE who hurts the man! Xander up in a burst- OH! Lands the standing moonsault!!
Rick - UnREAL! Where DO they get this kind of energy?!
Dave - And that's considering that they've been through a lot here tonight: The fans are definitely getting their money's worth off of this match alone, that's for sure! And just THINK: Takahashi has another match coming up later tonight! Xander finally up to his feet first... But Kamakize is right back up and charges at Xander- Xander with an armdrag- but Takahashi flips to land on his feet! Here we go with a tie up- Knee to the breadbasket by Kamakize- OH! And a double axehandle to the back of the neck! Now pulling Xander back up... Test of strength.. Kamakize has a slight advantage.... Hammerlock applied by Kama. Reversal by Xander!! Xander lifting Kamakize- OH! Takahashi just slipped out! Lucky for him, or he may have been looking at a submission...
Rick - Xander now with a big swing- but Kama blocked it and caught him!! Kama with the Soviet suplex on Xander right in the middle of the ring! Kamakize now off the ropes- but he stumbles and falls?
Dave - Anya tripped HIM! That's what happened!! Anya evening things out a bit for Xander because of Ravenger, I'd guess!
Rick - And it might be a good idea, too: Xander's looking a little worn from the explosive pace of this match, not to mention that Soviet suplex he just suffered at Kama's hand.
Dave - Maybe he's already expended too much of his energy.
Rick - Don't count Xander out yet... See? He's getting up already. Let's just hope that Xander has some fire left. Kama hauls Xander in- spins and whips him to the ropes! Clothesline by Kama- ducked by Xander! Xander off the opposite ropes and avoiding being tripped by Markus Draknor! Flying crossbody by Xander!!! Kamakize rolls him off and is quick to his feet- Xander back to his feet, too...
Dave - Tie up... snap suplex by Kama. Nicely executed move. Say what you will about Kama, but he's no slouch when it comes to wrestling! DOWN with the kneedrop! Covering: No! Only a one count.
Rick - Kamakize pushing himself up... And he drops down on Xander with a leg drop right across the throat! Kamakize back up- dives onto Xander and applies a headlock. He's pounding away at the forehead of Xander in the process!
Dave - What an incredible series of punches!! OH! And finishes it all off with a big kneelift to Xander's midsection to lay him out! Kamakize not wasting any more time, either, and he's up and going to the top rope! Turns- Frog splash- DOWN on Xander! This may be it, but Kama's hurting from that move too and unable to cover... Rick - If he could just cover, he could have thiss... But instead he's getting to his feet...
Dave - Takahashi standing over Xander- OH!! Blows his NOSE down at him! That's disgusting! For the love o' god! Kama just WALKED right across Xander's face! There's no need of that! Just LISTEN to the fans booing him! Kamakize taking a breather in the corner while Xander returns to shaky feet... Kama in there- Standing waistlock applied by Kama- belly to belly suplex! Kama crawling to Xander- OH! Takahashi with the choke! The ref's counting 1-2-3-4- Takahashi releases it- C'MON! Kamakize choking him AGAIN!
Rick - As long as he breaks it before the 5-count, it's legal. See?
Dave - Kama now up to a knee and using the ropes to pull himself up... Looking out to the crowd and raising his arms triumphantly just to get them GOING! It's as if he's FEEDING off their booing, Rick! Now brings the hands down for the crotch chop! The fans couldn't be booing this turncoat any louder at all: they OBVIOUSLY hate the man! But Xander up and charging from behind- WOAH! Dropkick to the knee by Xander takes Kamakize off his feet in a hurry!
Rick - Ouch! Kama has got to keep his mind on this match where it belongs, Dave... But now both men slow getting to their feet... But it's Xander up first and bringing Kama to his feet the hard way- OH!! Sends Kama to the ropes- BIG boot to the kisser takes Kamakize off his feet. Xander picks him up in a fireman's carry, and drops him right on his face!
Dave - Xander to his knees and trying to catch his breath from all the choking... But Takahashi isn't going to give him too much chance to do that, because here he come again- OH! Roundhouse kick right to the skull knocks Xander over to the mat!
Rick - Kama taking control of things again here, as he hauls Xander up off the mat and setting him up for the vertical suplex- NO!!! He hit a brainbuster on him instead!! Kama with a cover: 1... 2... Thre- NO!!! Xander getting the shoulder up before the three and staying alive!
Dave - But just BARELY, Rick! Takahashi looking frustrated as he pulls Xander to his feet... Over to the ropes- tosses Xander through them to the outside! And with Marcus Draknor and Ravenger at ringside, that may not be the best place for Xander to be right now. Kama climbing to the apron- running senton splash from the ring apron on Xander!!
Rick - But look at this, Dave! Anya up on the apron and telling the ref to keep the NX crew out of things- and he's going for it! And now Anya moving in on the action while the ref's distracted with Ravenger and the AngelKiller manager!
Dave - And Akira Takahashi hasn't seen her- turns- LORDY!! BIG time kneeling low blow uppercut there by Anya doubles Kama over in a hurry! Now Anya back up and with Kama by the hair- bashes his face into the ring apron! Takahashi stunned and Now Anya- WHIPS him into the steel safety barrier!
Rick - Anya's completely fresh here, and she's taking complete advantage of the situation while giving Xander some time to recover while the referee is distracted...
Dave - Xander joining in on the fray now and Anya holding Kama wide open- BIG shot to the ribs there by Xander! The crowd at ringside here really enjoying what they're seeing, too.
Rick - Uh-oh! Looks like time's up for Anya: she's trying to pretend she's innocent, but she's smartly not putting up any fuss and staying out of things while Xander takes over where she left off... The ref starting a 10-count, but Xander with Kama- Whips him this way into the steel barricade!! And things are NOT looking good for Kama!
Dave - Indeed they're not, Rick, but Xander should be capitalizing: instead, he's headed this way- he just shoved the timekeeper out of his chair, and that's going to cost him a fine- but he's picking the chair up and folding it while he makes his way back to Takahashi- BLASTS him over the head with it!! Kama down on the floor, and the ref warning Xander to put it down, or he'll be disqualifying him.
Rick - Xander's grudgingly putting the chair down, Dave, but he's lucky he wasn't disqualified just now. But that warning interrupted the referee's count, and now he's having to start it over again. And as far as Kama's concerned, that'll only mean more trouble!
Dave - Xander picking Kama up from behind... Lifting him for the atomic drop- OH no! He decided to drop Takahashi's groin into the barricade instead! The referee warning Xander to take this one into the ring or be disqualified, and once again, Xander not too happy about this, as he hauls Kama back to the ringside floor. Picking Kama up now is Xander, and rolls him into the ring...
Rick - And Xander getting up onto the apron now- slingshots over it- flips and lands the senton splash! Xander should be covering here, but he's getting back up for some reason and bringing Kama with him- fireman carry pickup- DVD!!! Xander with the Death Valley Driver on Kama and that HAS to be it! Covers him: 1... 2... 2?
Dave - Oh, but look at THIS now! Draven's up on the apron, and he's trying to tell the ref that Anya was elevating Xander's legs for a easier pin- but she was doing no such thing!
Rick - Yeah, but you have to hand it to Rav: he saved his partner for now, anyway.
Dave - But how much longer will Takahashi be able to survive?
Rick - I don't know, Dave... But Xander pulling Kama up again- Irish whip to the ropes and follows him- Holy MOLEY!!! WHAT a move there by Xander! Kama was off the ropes and Xander caught him with a face-to-face Russian legsweep! Xander covering again: 1... 2... 3!!!
Dave - NO!! Only a two count! Takahashi's foot was on the ropes, courtesy of a little helping hand from Marcus Draknor! And Xander saw it all the way, and he's up and heading to the outside after the AngelKiller manager! Draknor scampering away like the coward he is, and Xander in hot pursuit!
Rick - Yeah, but Rav's chasing HIM down too! Xander chasing Markus around the ring- Rav rounding the corer- WOAH!!!
Dave - I didn't see THAT one coming, and apparently neither did Ravenger!!! Anya was crouched down behind the stairs and jumped out of hiding to level Derek Draven with a HUGE clothesline! Anya picking Ravenger up off the floor and laying a series of kicks into him, but the referee trying to break the pair up!
Rick - Looks like Marcus Draknor ISN'T going to be so lucky, Dave! Xander caught him by the collar- nails him with a knee to the midsection! Pulls him in, and he's signaling for the Rock Coffin Driver!! OHH!!!! Scratch THAT idea!!
Dave - You're not KIDDING!! Kamakize just came flying over the top rope and collided into Xander with an incredible suicide dive that sent him crashing into the rail!! Markus getting away holding his ribs, but Kama and Xander down and they look like they're BOTH injured!
Rick - But we have a whole other match in itself going on here with Anya and Ravenger, Dave! The ref's exited the ring to try to separate the two, but he's not having much luck in THAT department! Ravenger's gotten the upper hand now, and he's just tattooing Anya with punches! Anya with a big counter punch- Rocks Rav with it! Another big swing- Rav ducks it for the go behind- synchs on the sleeperhol- wait a second! That's no sleeper- that's a chokehold!!
Dave - Indeed it is, but the lack of flying punches is allowing the referee to move in and warn these two that they'll be ejected if they don't cut it out!
Rick - And that's finally hitting home for Ravenger, Dave, 'cause he just shoved Anya to the floor, and he's heading back to his corner while the ref checks to make sure Anya's alright...
Dave - Yeah, but look at the ROUTE that Draven's taking to his corner: he's making his way over to Xander and his tag team partner! Xander pulling himself up with the help of the guardrail, but Ravenger- OH! With a hard kick to the ribs! And another! And anot- NO!! Xander caught it- OH!!! But Ravenger flipped into the inzuguri kick and LEVELED Xander with it! Xander down and holding his head, but he's trying to get up regardless.
Rick - He's a trooper, that's for sure, but Kama getting to his feet shaving the effects of the collision with Xander off- he's picking up the timekeeper's chair and Ravenger holding Xander- Kama winding up- HAMMERS Xander over the hear with the steel chair! Jabs him in the ribs to double him over! And AGAIN bashes him with the chair, this time across the back!
Dave - Look out- Anya back on her feet and pushing past the referee- springboard dropkick off the rail on Kama sent the chair STRAIGHT into his face!!! Ravenger kicking Anya while she's down, and once again, the referee having difficulty controlling the chaos at ringside! Xander looking in rough shape, but I think that Akira Takahashi is OUT COLD!! Rick - He's not LOOKING very conscious, anyway, Dave, that's for sure! But from the way his head whipped back from the chair smashing straight into his face, NOT to mention the way his head bounced off the floor AFTERWARDS, I'm hardly surprised.
Dave - Ravenger getting on top of Anya at ringside and WAILING on here with a series of closed fists. Both Xander and Takahashi still down, but Markus Draknor is back on the scene and trying to DRAG Kamakize's body away from the melee! I don't know if he intends on trying to revive him or WHAT...
Rick - I don't either, Dave.. Xander getting up and seeing what's happening to Anya- BOOTS Ravenger in the skull and off of her! Anya bleeding from the nose, but now it's HER right on Draven and raining down closed fists!! Xander got her out of THAT bind, but now he's looking for Kama and he's spotted Markus dragging him away! Xander making his way over to Kama and Marcus and now Markus turning and running the heck out of there, leaving his man all alone!! Xander pulling Kama up off the mat- scoops him up... Holding Kama over his head- RAMS him into the ringpost head-first!! THAT'S gonna' leave a mark!
Dave - The referee STILL tied up with Anya and Ravenger, trying to pull the pair apart, but Xander with Takahashi up off the floor once again: and he's signaling for the Rock Coffin Driver!! Pulls Kama in- AND HE NAILS IT!!!! Rock Coffin Driver ON THE FLOOR!!!
Rick - This is NUTS!!! Xander may have just paralyzed Kama and ended his career with that move, Dave!! Xander running on fumes here, but check out Kama: he's busted WIDE open, Dave, and he is TOTALLY out! And listen to the fans: they're ecstatic!!! Xander should end this right now, but the referee is being distracted by Draven, Anya AND Marcus Draknor! I think the ref was going to eject Anya and Ravenger from ringside, but Markus has wise gotten involved to help delay the situation so that Kama CAN'T be pinned!
Dave - And Xander knows it too, but he's just making the best of the situation and beating the bejeezers out of Takahashi even more! All Draknor's going to do is cause Kama to have to RETIRE!
[The crowd starts yelling even louder than before all of a sudden.]
Rick - What go o- OH!!! Zack Logan just ran out from the back and HAMMERED Xander from behind with... A MONKEYWRENCH!!! Xander laid out COLD with a cheapshot from behind courtesy of the "Blue Thunder"! I've been wondering where Zack's BEEN lately, but I didn't expect to see him again like THIS!
Dave - And neither did Xander! Zack Rolling Kamakize back into the ring and rolling Xander in now, too... Following them in, and now pulling Xander up off the mat... Sets him up- THUNDERCRACKER BY LOGAN!!!! Anya sees what's going on and she's hopping mad out there trying to get into the ring, but the referee holding her back! This is COMPLETE ROBBERY!! Xander being DECIMATED here by Zack Logan! Logan with the crotch chop, and NOW he's rolling Takahashi on top of Xander!! Logan now sliding out to ringside, and Draknor turning the referee around!! He slides into the ring: 1... 2.. 3!
[The bell rings. "Halls of Illusion" By Insane Clown Posse plays...]
Dave - Xander was ROBBED!! Takahashi wasn't even CONSCIOUS!!! Xander was the victim of a NX SETUP all the way!!!
Rick - Anya even tried to pull the ref out by the ankle to stop the injustice, Dave, but Rav and Marcus held her back just in time. And NOW they're taking it to her on the outside, with Markus holding her and Ravenger hammering her with punches! Ravenger taking a step back for- Ravenger Kick- OH!!! But Anya slipped out of the way and Ravenger FLATTENED Draknor!!! Ravenger can't believe it! OH!!! Anya though fast there, Dave, and the tornado DDT on Ravenger INTO THE STEEL STEPS!!! Ravenger's head bounced off those things like a SUPERBALL!
Dave - And THIS isn't good! Logan crossing through the ring and making his way to this side... leaning over the ropes- and he has Anya by the hair! Pulling her up onto the apron- OH!! But he's stopped in his tracks from a guillotine across the top rope from Anya!! Logan trying to get some air, but Anya in the ring- has Logan by the leg- flips him up over the top rope and sends him crashing into Ravenger!!
Rick - Anya using her head here and helping Xander out of the ring so that they can get out of here, Dave... She's rolling Xander to the outside and helping him make his way to the back, up the ramp... Better to live to fight another day and all that, I guess, 'cause with the way this one ended, I have a feeling that Xander's not going to let this rivalry rest quite yet-

Dave - We're back, ladies and gentlemen, and with Xander and Anya already in the ring, we're ready to go!
[The bell rings.]
Pattera - This next match is a scheduled for one fall......
["Why I'm Here" by Oleander plays as the lights dim... The crowd's reaction is a mixture of cheers and boos, as spotlights illuminate the ring, where Anya and Xander stand...]
Pattera - Introducing first, in the ring, accompanied by Anya... Ladies and Gentlemen, from Burkittsville, Maryland, he is Xaaandeeer!!!
[The music cuts, and is replaced by "Who Let The Dogs Out" by Baha man.. The crowd cheers...]
Pattera - Ladies and Gentlemen, from Hamilton, Ontario Canada, here is Marky$Marc!
[Marky$Marc enters the arena through the curtains, lip-synching to the "barking" part of the song. He points out to the fans enthusiastically, then proceeds to do a little dance, which gets a great reaction from the crowd. Marc then makes his way to the ring, taking his time and dancing foolishly all the way... Finally, Marc enters the ring, handing his hat and gold chain to the timekeeper. The bell rings.]
*** Marky$Marc vs. Xander ***
Rick - And it's a lockup right off the bell! Marky$Marc is taking over from the start: Sends Xander to the ropes- catches him with a knee to the stomach! [the crowd cheers] And down goes Xander!
Dave - Xander using the ropes to help himself to his feet- Dropkicked back down by Marky$Marc!
Rick - Both men getting their footing... Marc with Xander again- sends him to the ropes- Sleeperhold by Marky$Marc! Xander in trouble early, here- NO! Hits a back elbow just in time! Marc has him again, though: Headbutt by Marc sends Xander back down to eat the canvas!
Dave - Marky$Marc to the corner and quick to the second rope- drops the elbow! Covers- 1... 2... Xander gets the foot on the ropes.
Rick - Marc thought he had it there, but there's no way a man like Xander's going to go down that easy. Marky$Marc back to his feet and pulling Xander up with him... Sending Xander to the ropes again! Xander comes off- caught with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker from Marc! Marc with a stunned Xander... Bringing him to the corner and setting him up on the top turnbuckle, now... Marky$Marc climbing the rope- he's going to try for a Superplex!! NO! Blocked by Xander- But Marc gets it on the second try- WHAM!!
Dave - I have to give credit where credit is due, Rick: this match has been ALL Marky$Marc so far. And atypically for Xander, he's really not been putting up any visible offense here to this point... Xander needs to make a comeback if he's to have any shot at this at all... Marky$Marc with a somersault and to his feet. Now with a head full of steam- Springboard off the ropes- LANDS the moonsault!!
Rick - But with that added to the effects of the superplex, Dave, Marc's taking some damage to his body too. If he's not careful, he may hurt himself enough to give Xander some breathing room... Both men now slow to their feet... And it's Xander up first and bringing Marky$Marc to his feet the hard way- Clothesline by Xander- NO!! Marky$Marc throws him down to the mat with a big hip toss! Marky$Marc climbing to the top! Xander slowly getting to his feet- Missile dropkick by Marc- Xander with a dropkick- MIDAIR COLLISION!! Both men connected with their dropkicks!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Dave - Xander with a desperation maneuver there to try to turn things around, but will it have the desired effect?
Rick - Only time will tell, Dave...
Dave - It's Xander to his feet first! And now HE'S climbing the turnbuckles!! Xander perched up there as Marky$Marc slowly gets to his feet. Marky$Marc turning around- A missile dropkick by Xander- NO!!! POWERSLAM by Marc!!!! Holding it for a cover: 1... 2... Oh! But it's Xander kicking out at two!
Rick - Marky$Marc now going for a headscissor on Xander... It's a move that we don't see a lot of anymore from most of the pros these days, but there's no question that it's still an effective move if it's used right... Xander's not going to take it lying down though, and has no intention of submitting yet from the looks of things... Aaaaaaaand- there it is: Xander with a foot on the rope, and the referee order that the hold be released. Marc complying with the ref's wishes and bringing Xander up with him...
Dave - Marc now with an Irish whip! Xander off the ropes- back body drop- NO! Xander puts on the brakes and NAILS the DDT on Marky$Marc!!
Rick - That's exactly the kind of mistake that Xander was waiting for Marc to make, Dave. It's going to give him some precious time to catch his breath and collect himself here, and think about where he's gone wrong so far.
Dave - I'm not so sure he HAS gone wrong, though. With the fans behind him again, Marky$Marc has been wrestling a highly competitive match, and I'd go as far as to say that he's not given Xander much chance to turn things around.
Rick - Xander with Marky$Marc- sends him to the ropes- leapfrog by Xander- Marky$Marc off the ropes- lunging back elbow by Xander!! Xander crawling over to Marky$Marc. Front facelock applied... He's holding it, Marky$Marc getting to his feet- Xander up with him... turning the move around- DROPS into the neckbreaker! Nice one! Xander's obviously had better days, mind you: he's using the ropes to pull himself up now... Off the ropes- DOWN with the elbow drop! And now, just like that, it's Marky$Marc who needs to make a comeback. Marky$Marc now up to a knee and using the ropes to pull himself up... But Xander up and charging- WOAH! Dropkick to the knee by Xander takes Marc off his feet in a hurry!
Dave - Ouch!
Rick - Marky$Marc's face is being slammed to the mat over and over by Xander!
Dave - Get in there ref!! Xander to his feet first and he has Marc by the ankle- Spinning toe hold applied! Marky$Marc struggling! Xander drops the elbow- NO, he misses it! Looks like he hit his funnybone on that one, as he's wasting time... And getting back up now, is Marky$Marc... Marc clumsily to the top, but here comes Xander! Xander has him and.. SLAMS him down into the middle of the ring!
Rick - Marky$Marc should have waited to do more damage before going for such a risky move! I think Xander was just playing possum on him! Xander climbing to the top! Marky$Marc barely moving a muscle... Xander up- NOBODY HOME!!! Marky$Marc NARROWLY avoiding the frogsplash!!
Dave - UnREAL! Maybe it was Marky$Marc playing possum that time...
Rick - Marc rolls Xander over and presses for the cover! Dickson counting- 1... 2... Whew! Marky$Marc ALMOST put this one way. Both men are down, Dave, and they look absolutely exhausted! The referee is starting the 10-count: 1.. 2.. 3... 4... fi- Xander up to his feet first, but he's followed by Marc...
Dave - Arm wringer applied by Xander... into a wristlock. Xander applying the pressure- Marky$Marc down on the mat and rolling to counter out of it- Small package by Marky$Marc 1...2...3!!!
Rick - No!! No! Only a 2 count! It was SO close, but Dickson's telling Marc and the timekeeper that this match is NOT over yet!
Dave - Marky$Marc CAN'T be happy about that, folks. He REALLY thought he'd had this one, and was ready to start celebrating until Danny Dickson broke the news to him! But it's not slowing him down: Looks like Marky$Marc is making his move- Wait- OH!! Marky$Marc splashes onto Xander for another cover! 1... 2... but it's Xander kicking out in plenty of time this time around!
Rick - Xander looking winded, but not giving it up yet, Dave. Marky$Marc up and running to the ropes- Springboard moonsault onto Xander!!! 1-2-Thrrr- NO!!!! Even *I* thought he had him there again! And now, Xander WISELY rolling to the outside to get his head together...
Dave - But look out for Marc- OH!!! Baseball slide sent Xander into the safety rail! Marck$Marc following Xander to the outside, but with Anya out there, is that REALLY such a good idea?
Rick - Nevertheless, neither Anya, or Dickson starting his count are stopping Marc yet... Marky$Marc here at ringside and pumping up the crowd, but he REALLY should be concentrating on Xander, Dave.
Dave - As much as I'm enjoying Marc's entertainment, I have to agree, Rick: Xander's not the type of guy that you should be turning your back to... Marc pulling Xander up now- SIDEWALK SLAM on the outside of the ring!!! Let me remind you, ladies and gentlemen, that these ringside mats are BARELY an inch think, and that the Planet Dome floor underneath is nothing but solid CONCRETE!! So let me tell you that Xander's GOT to be hurting right now!
Rick - You got that right, Deyo, and Anya's seeing that fact too, and protecting her partner from being counted out by distracting the referee. But will Marc just use this opportunity to hurt Xander more?... From the way he's looking over his shoulder and setting Xander up in the double underhook, I'd have to say so! Marc hoisting- but Xander fighting it and using the legs- BACK BODY DROP on Marky$Marc- ONTO THE STEEL RINGSTEPS!!!
[The crowd gasps in unison.]
Dave - Dear GOD!! Marky$Marc's just crashed down onto the steps! If Xander can make it back in now, he can have this match won!
Rick - He's holding onto his own back, Dave, but he's not slipping in yet! Anya STILL managing to distract Danny Dickson, and Xander- uh-oh! He's shoved the timekeeper aside and he's going for the steel chair!!
Dave - Marky$Marc getting to his feet- Xander- NO!! Marc blocked the chairshot! Boot to the midsection by Marky$Marc!! Bats the chair to the floor- Inverted atomic drop!!! And listen to this capacity crowd: they're LOVING this guy!
Rick - But both of these guys are down and out at ringside, Dave: and Danny Dickson's FINALLY gotten himself away from Anya, so this match could very well end in a double countout right here...
Dave - Danny Dickson warning Anya to stay out of the action or get her man disqualified, and this one may end in a race to get back into the ring! We're at a two count now, and Marky$Marc barely showing signs of life, while Xander's clutching at his back with one hand, and his family jewels with the other... But I'm not sure if EITHER of these men will be able to make it back into the ring in time...
Rick - And we're at four... make that a five count, and Marc finally stirring...
Dave - And Xander up on one knee, now! Six... Anya shouting words of encouragement to Xander... Marky$Marc on his feet! Seven... Staggering toward the ring- but Xander with a handful of tights- HAULS Marky$Marc into the steel rail! Eight...
Rick - That could do it! Xander up and getting onto the apro- NO!!! HE'S hauled back by Marc!! We're at NINE, and Xander and Marc are hammering away at each other with a series of punches!!
Dave - TEN!!
[We see the ref signalling for the bell to be rung. The bell rings.]
Pattera - Ladies and gentlemen, this match has been ruled a DOUBLE COUNTOUT!!!
Rick - This one's officially over, but someone should tell that to THESE two! Anya joining in on the action now- OH!!! A shuffling sidekick from behind on Marc by Anya put the man down like a ton of bricks! He didn't know WHAT hit him!
Dave - No he didn't, Rick! Anya and Xander rolling Marc back into the ring now, and in there with him... Anya pulling Marc up off the mat and holding him... Xander moving in behind Marc, ducking low- clutching Marc's arms, using his back to tip him backward and upside-down and- HOLY LORD!!! DRIVES him down on the back of his NECK! Xander had TALKED about a surprise for Marc, and I'm guessing THAT was it! Security rushing the ring and separating Anya and Xander from Marc, but the damage HAS BEEN DONE!
Rick - You got THAT right, Dave! Xander may well have CRUSHED Marc's spinal column with that DEADLY move! I can't even DESCRIBE it except as a, well, a back-to-back... double-arm piledriver, or something... Whatever it was, I can tell you it's a scary, scary thing to do to another human being. Whew!
Dave - Let's hope that Marky$Marc is okay... he didn't deserve that, THAT'S for sure... Anya and Xander being escorted to the back by security, and EMTs are in there now checking up on Marky$Marc... And Marc getting to his feet. [the crowd claps and cheers] He's nursing his neck a bit, but it looks like he's going to be okay...
Rick - Thank goodness for that! But I have a feeling that this isn't the last time we'll see Xander put somebody down with that new move of his- and I'm not so sure we won't see somebody rushed to the emergency room afterward.
Dave - It's a dangerous game we play in Planet Wrestling, no question about-
Aftershock - 5-20-01 Xander & Anya vs. Underdogg & Airborne Tournament Match
** Xander & Anya vs. Airborn & Underdogg ** Xander and Anya entered to new music: "The Fight Song" by Marilyn Manson. The match started off with Anya wrestling against Underdogg. Underdogg gained an early lead, but Anya countered with a DDT when Underdogg was going for a back body drop. Anya took control, but when she went to tag Xander, he seemed uninterested in tagging in. Anya went back to fighting Underdogg, taking him to the top rope for a fight that ended in Anya prevailing and hitting a hurricanrana on Underdogg from the top. Anya tagged in Xander, but all Xander did was hit Underdogg with a scoop slam before he tagged Anya back in. Anya went back in reluctantly, and executed a falling, reverse DDT on Underdogg, leading to a cover and a two-count. Anya sent Underdogg into the ropes to try to finish him off with a flying forearm, but Underdogg hit a blind tag on Airborn. Airborn took Anya by surprise with a missile dropkick and nearly got the three count. Airborn then controlled the pace of the match for a while, and was going to go for his second German suplex in a row, when Anya hit him with a low blow back kick. Anya pulled herself together and bulldogged Airborn, then she signalled for her "Deep Inside of You" frogsplash. She went to the top rope... but at that moment, Xander tapped Anya's foot to tag himself in. Perched on the top, Anya could only watch in bafflement as Xander set Airborn up and delivered his new finisher, the Hemmorhage. Xander covered Airborn for the easy three count.

Shockwave - 10-4-01 Xander & Anya vs The Canadian Crippler & Esquire Tourney Quarterfinal Round
Rick - Damn right it is, Dave! And that's why we're skipping some of the formalities here and heading right to our first match of the night! It's the Tag Team Tournament second round match, where we'll be seeing Esquire and Crippler together against the team of Xander and Anya.
Dave - Let's get to the ring.
[The bell rings.]
Pattera – The following is a second round tag-team tournament match, and is scheduled for one fall…
["The Fight Song" by Marilyn Manson strikes up. All the lights in the arena dim, and a pair of spotlights focus their glow on the entryway. Xander, bedecked in black ankle length tights with blue streaks heading down the sides, steps out into the entrance and is met with a mixed reaction, mostly boos, from the crowd. He looks to both sides of the arena, taking in his surroundings, then begins to head toward the ring.]
Pattera – Introducing first, weighing in at 235 pounds, and hailing from Burkittsville, Maryland…Xander!!!
[Xander jaws with some ringside fans while Oleander's "I walk Alone" replaces his entrance theme.]
Pattera – And his tag-team partner, weighing in at 125 pounds, fighting out of Boston, Massachusetts, here is Anya!!!
[Once again all the lighting in the arena dims and a few spotlights search around the joint. Anya, wearing silver ankle length tights and a blue sports bra top, makes her appearance to a slightly more flattering reaction than her counterpart got. She heads through the entryway and down towards the ring. Xander continues to go at it with some ringsiders while she slides into the ring under the bottom rope.] Dave – Xander certainly isn't a crowd favorite here tonight by any stretch of the imagination, Rick.
Rick – Certainly not, Dave, but he seems to be relishing in that fact as he's presently giving these ringside fans a piece of his mind. The Planet Wrestling faithful are getting more than they bargained for and we haven't even witnessed a single wrestling hold yet tonight.
Dave – Not yet anyway. But that's all fixing to change in a hurry as we've got an absolutely stellar card, consisting of a plethora of tag-team matches, lined up for you folks tonight! And let's not forget about our main event where extreme champion Zed Logan will defend his title against brother Zack in a caged-in ladder match!
Rick – Should be a great, as well as brutal, showcase of two of Planet Wrestling's finest going at it.
["I Walk Alone" comes to a sudden halt and is replaced by Godsmack's rocking tune, "Whatever". The Canadian Crippler, wearing white pants with the "Crippler" nickname stitched into the sides and a black tank top with a big red maple leaf in the center of it, steps out into the entranceway. A pyrotechnics display, in the shape of a maple leaf, goes off behind him as Pattera earns his keep.]
Pattera – And their opponents…first, hailing from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, and weighing in at 260 pounds…he is the Canadian Crippler!!!
[The Crippler's entrance is met with a purely split crowd response, some cheers and an equal amount of boos. With a smug smirk directed at Xander, the Crippler heads down the aisle, stopping halfway to the ring. Suddenly the classic tune that we all know, "Stairway to Heaven", becomes audible, causing all the fans to boo in unison.]
Pattera – And his partner, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 295 pounds, Esquire!
[Esquire, in his patented suit and tie, walks down the aisle, ignoring all the booing, until he's standing side by side with the Canadian Crippler. The two give each other a knowing nod and without saying a word charge the ring in unison.]
*** Xander and Anya vs. the Canadian Crippler and Esquire: Tag-team tournament quarterfinal match ***
Dave – And this one has gotten off to an explosive start! The Crippler and Esquire charged the ring and are simply wailing away on their opponents! Esquire drops Anya to the mat with an uppercut to the jaw! Meanwhile the Canadian Crippler is showing Xander that his countrymen are adept at more than just figure skating!
Rick – Yeah, they can dish out some pretty mean beatings, too! The Crippler is just assaulting Xander with stinging lefts and rights! The X-Man simply can't take much more of this abuse! He looks out of it already!
Dave – Anya has already retreated to the outside for a breather after Esquire rudely introduced her to his fists, and now it's looking as if Xander's going to join her…the hard way!
Rick – The hard way is right, Dave. The Canadian Crippler fires off a few more punches to Xander's mug and now, with Esquire's assistance, whips him to the ropes with a double Irish whip! [Short pause in commentary] And over the top flies Xander, courtesy of a double clothesline from the team of Esquire and the Canadian Crippler! They obviously came into this match prepared with a game plan and already are executing it to near perfection.
[Anya runs over to help a dazed Xander to his feet. Crippler mounts the turnbuckles to take in some applause whilst Esquire stays focused by keeping an eye on his opposition.]
Dave – This doesn't bode well for the team of Xander and Anya who, outside of this tournament match, also have to do battle with our other wrestling couple, "The Heartbeat of Canada" Ken Jansen and Valentine later on tonight. And in a "Stars on Ice" match, no less. Who knows what condition they'll be in when it comes time for that one if they don't get it together and start putting up a fight in this contest.
Rick – Well, it's too early to write them off just yet, Dave. And hopefully, for their own sake, this conference they seem to be having on the outside will help turn the tides in their favor.
Dave – And we're about to find out either way as Xander is cautiously entering the ring here, keeping an eye on the crafty veteran, Esquire, for any funny business, while Anya goes to their corner.
Rick – And on the other side of the ring our official, Pat Rogers, has successfully escorted the Crippler to his respective corner, and it looks like this one is about to come to an official start!
[The bell rings once again, signaling the start of the match.]
Dave - Xander and the Canadian Crippler immediately get things started with a collar and elbow tie-up, and the Crippler uses his strength advantage to forcefully push Xander down to the mat! And now he's pointing to the maple leaf on his wrestling attire to rub it in! That can't sit well with Xander who seems to have a personal vendetta against all things Canadian these days.
Rick – Xander is right back up, though, and he charges in for another collar and elbow lock-up, and this time is just simply forced into a neutral corner by the Crippler.
Dave – And that's exactly where he doesn't want to be, because the Canadian Crippler is just assaulting him with some stiff chops! Good lord! Those bad boys are just echoing throughout the entire arena!
Rick – Crippler now, content with having drastically changed the color of Xander's chest, whips him to the corner on the opposite side of the ring, and quickly follows in with a lariat – NO! Xander uses the ropes to help float up and over the Crippler and then he swiftly delivers a standing dropkick to the back of the head!
Dave – The Crippler's chest cavity is sent smashing into the corner turnbuckles and Xander quickly rolls him up with a schoolboy. Our official, Mr. Rogers, moves into position, 1…2…kick out!
Rick – Well that certainly caught the Canadian Crippler off-guard. He seemed to just be having his way with Xander for a moment there, but this bright young superstar came to fight.
Dave – As he always does, Rick. You can say what you want about his stance on foreigners, but that all goes out the window when the bell rings, because he can compete with anyone on the Planet Wrestling roster when push comes to shove.
[In the ring Xander and the Crippler are both on their feet and are standing nose to nose, attempting to psyche the other out with their stares.]
Rick – And speaking of shoving, the Crippler just gave Xander a nice push in the chest, almost daring him to make a move.
Dave – And that's exactly what Xander's doing, Rick. Xander runs in, ducks a lariat, hops onto the second rope and springs back off with an asai moonsault…but he got caught! Crippler drills him into the mat with a dominator! And that move had to have driven all the wind out of Xander's body! His painful gasps for air are testament to that, Rick.
Rick – Crippler with the quick tag to Esquire, who takes advantage of the situation by smoothly connecting with a legdrop across Xander's gullet and going for a quick lateral press attempt. 1…2…kick-out! Probably a bit too early to be thinking of gaining the "W" at this point.
Dave – Esquire now lifts Xander up and Irish whips him to the ropes, but Xander has the presence of mind to hold on to them for dear life and he lunges to his corner to tag in the waiting Anya!
[The fans become noticeably louder as Anya steps through the ropes and into the ring.]
Rick – Ah, now this ought to be interesting. Esquire is a firm believer that this is a man's sport and that women have no place in the ring, while Anya wants to prove that people of her gender are every bit as skilled in grappling as the men are.
Dave – Esquire, trying to make quick work of Anya, rushes in at her, but gets caught with an arm drag! Both wrestlers up – and we get a repeat performance!
Rick – And now Anya stomps Esquire's chest before she quickly heads to the top, where she's waiting for Esquire to regain his balance. Esquire's up, he turns around, and right into a top rope hurricanranna! She takes the big guy down and these fans are just eating it up!
Dave – And she's about to give them more to cheer about she heads right back to the top. Hops onto the top turnbuckle, gains her balance, leaps off…beautiful moonsault connects! Anya hooks the leg for a cover, 1…2…and good god! Esquire just bench-presses her off with some authority!
[Anya flies up about five feet before her entire anatomy is sent crashing into the mat.]
Rick – OH, that has got to be painful, Dave. Esquire is showing Anya just how rough it can get in this MAN'S environment.
Dave – And I suppose you share his opinion on the topic, Rick?
Rick – Hey, all I'm saying is that the evidence lies in the ring. Anya hit Esquire with a couple of high-risk moves, and still it didn't pay off.
[Esquire locks Anya up in suplex position.]
Rick – See, look at this. Esquire is about to suplex her right out of her boots. Esquire with the pick up…
Dave – Don't count your chickens before they're hatched, Rick! Anya slips free at the height of the suplex and connects with a reverse DDT on her way down! Exceptional move and counter by the upstart Anya! Anything to say now, Rick?
Rick – All right, I'll give credit where it's due. That WAS a nice counter.
Dave – That was more than just a nice counter. She bounced Esquire's head off the mat like a basketball with that DDT. And now she slaps on a dragon sleeper, showing us that she's not all high spots, but she can break out a few wrestling and submission maneuvers as well.
Rick – Okay, so she can wrestle, but I don't know if this dragon sleeper is such a hot idea. At her weight it's going to be awfully hard to put enough pressure on Esquire to make him tap, or better yet, pass out.
Dave – Good call, Rick. Already Esquire is using his strength to inch his way over to the ropes.
Rick – Anya is cinching that hold in as tightly as she possibly can, but Esquire is just inches away from the ropes now…reaches an arm out…and grabs hold! The referee is calling for a break. Think we'll see a clean one, Dave?
Dave – Well, Anya doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to clean breaks, but it appears as though we're seeing one here as she stands up and backs off, giving Esquire an opportunity to get to his feet. Perhaps we're seeing the dawn of a new era in the ring tonight. Rick – Anything's possible, but I'd say it's simply a tactical ploy. One doesn't just go full circle over the course of one measly match.
Dave – Time will tell the story on that one, but for now an angered Esquire is going in for the kill, but Anya slides through his legs to the outside and trips the big man up! Esquire's flat on his face in the ring, and that has gotta be embarrassing for the guy. Anya is really pulling out all the stops to try and show Esquire up after his comments about women in wrestling.
Rick – Indeed she is. And now Esquire is up and shouting some choice four letter obscenities at Anya, and the fans as well. Anya retaliates by jumping onto the ring apron, but she almost has her head removed as Esquire throws an anger driven lariat…ducked! And Anya drops him with a stunner across the top rope! Excellent wrestling move!
Dave – It sure was, Rick. It knocked Esquire for a loop and has left him sprawled out in the dead center of the ring, gasping for air. No relief is in sight, however, as Anya grabs hold of the top rope for leverage and catapults herself into the ring with a senton splash! Follows up with a lateral press attempt, 1…2…shoulder up! Esquire has taken quite a beating in the last minute or so, but shows some perseverance by nudging a shoulder up before his team could be eliminated from the tournament.
Rick – It's going to take a lot more than that to take Esquire and his almost two year undefeated streak out of commission, Dave.
Dave – Anya plotting something here, though, Rick as she climbs to the second turnbuckle and has begun taunting Esquire to get his ass in gear.
Rick – And that's exactly what he does! Esquire took a moment to shake free of the cobwebs before charging in at Anya with reckless abandon, but he got caught with a tornado DDT! Or did he…
Dave – NO! Anya didn't have enough strength to twist it around, allowing Esquire to counter with a mean looking northern lights suplex! And he holds on with a bridge for the pin attempt! 1…2…Anya gets a shoulder up, but just barely! Esquire really nailed that suplex with some force!
[Both grapplers lay on the mat, trying to regain their composure.]
Rick – Yeah, he's been waiting to hit Anya with something big like that for the better part of the last few minutes, and when the opportunity arose he took FULL advantage of it by simply annihilating Anya with that northern lights style suplex.
Dave – And now he's right back up after a short breather, and he's just assaulting Anya with some boots to her right knee. Anya certainly won't be flying around the ring like a luchador if she can't manage to stand, Rick.
Rick – That appears to be the plan, Dave. Esquire now drags Anya over towards the ropes and he places that right leg across the bottom twine, grabs hold of the top rope for added leverage, and he forces his backside down right across her knee ligaments! I'd normally throw in some commentary right here, but Anya's agonizing screams are doing all the talking for me.
[The camera cuts to a close-up of Anya's face as she lays screaming on the mat, whilst clutching at her knee.]
Dave – She needs to devise a plan to get over to her corner, and quickly!
Rick – She certainly does, Dave, but that's going to be awfully hard when she's trapped in a figure-four leglock, and right in the center of the ring, no less! There's absolutely nowhere for her to go.
Dave – And with each precious second that passes that knee of Anya's slips further into ruin. This match could turn into a career shortener if she can't break free of this agonizing submission maneuver. And to think she still has another match to compete in tonight!
[The fans begin to rally behind Anya at this point, shouting some encouragement.]
Rick – But unfortunately the chances of Anya breaking free don't appear to be too great. Her overwhelming weight disadvantage makes it nearly impossible to reach the ropes, and she's taken such a beating that I doubt she has the strength to turn the hold over and put the pressure on Esquire.
Dave – Whoa! Anya just got caught resting with her shoulders on the mat, and damn near got pinned in the process. But she lunges her upper body forward at the last possible moment, screaming all the while.
Rick – And Esquire is right there in her face to shout some rather uncomplimentary remarks about women not belonging in the ring. How insulting!
Dave – You wanna talk about insulting! Anya just retorted with a stinging open handed slap right across Esquire's mug! Esquire fires back with a jab…Anya ducks back down, and rebounds with another harsh slap to the side of Esquire's face! Esquire has a beat red temporary tattoo of Anya's hand on the side of his grill!
Rick – And that forces him to break the hold…Anya dives towards her corner for the tag, but Esquire is right there to grab hold of her right ankle…OH! Man, Esquire just drove Anya's knee into the mat with authority and is now dragging her back to his team's respective corner.
Dave – Esquire makes the tag to the Crippler, and stays in the ring, holding Anya's right leg up for a moment while his partner assaults that already injured knee with some stomps. And here comes Xander into the ring to try and put an end to this double team beat-down, but he's promptly cut off by Pat Rogers who escorts him back to his corner. Rick – I think Xander may have done Anya more harm than good there because while the referee had his back turned both Esquire and the Crippler took the opportunity knock Anya practically senseless! She's slumped down in the corner, breathing heavily, and referee Rogers is none the wiser as Esquire is now standing on the ring apron, claiming no foul play.
Dave – The fans, along with their chorus of boos, beg to differ, but it's all for naught as the Canadian Crippler pulls Anya up out of the corner and locks her head in suplex position. He lifts her up, and look at this show of strength…the Crippler is just holding her up there, allowing all that blood to flow to Anya's brain.
Rick – BANG! And he just drove Anya's head into the mat with a brutal brainbuster! Anya's not moving! Cover…1…2…quick out! Anya kicked out! Where did she find the energy to kick out of that!?
Dave – I can't be sure of how she managed to kick out of that, but it may have something to do with the fact that almost every single being in this place is cheering her on. She must be feeding of the fans' energy to help her out in there.
Rick – Well it's going to take a lot more than a few rabid fans to help Anya's cause, because the Crippler is right back on the attack, pulling Anya up with a gutwrench pick-up, right into a powerbomb! The back of Anya's head and neck just hit the mat like a ton of bricks, and I've gotta think that this is the end for poor Anya.
Dave – It certainly looks that way, Rick. Canadian Crippler with the pin attempt, 1…2…3…NO! Pat Rogers holds two fingers in the air! Anya kicked out AGAIN! I thought for sure that it was over right there, Rick.
Rick – You're not the only one, David. The fans thought this one was over as well, but now they've grown louder than ever! I can barely hear myself think here!
Dave – The Crippler seems a little upset at now being able to put Anya away just yet, but he's putting his thumb to his Adam's apple, signaling that he's about to end this!
Rick – And there he goes, climbing the turnbuckles to the top. He takes a moment to look the crowd over after balancing himself up there and flies off with a frog splash! Nobody home! Anya rolled out of the way!
[The fans, for lack of a better description, go totally ape-shit at this point.]
Dave – Anya bought herself a little time by dodging that frog splash, but didn't have enough strength to make the tag and the Crippler, aching abs and all, goes right back to the attack- Irish whipping Anya to the ropes. Anya, though, puts on the brakes, and hops over the top to the apron! Canadian Crippler charges in, but gets caught with a springboard dropkick! The Crippler's body is sent tumbling across the ring, and now is Anya's chance! Make the tag! Make the tag!!- Rick – And that's exactly what she does, Dave! Xander comes into the ring in a blaze and drops the stirring Crippler with a clothesline! Runs over to the opposite corner, and there's one for Esquire too! Xander turns around and meets the Crippler with a back body drop! Xander is on fire, folks!
Dave – Here comes Esquire into the ring, but he too is met with a back body drop! And Anya getting into the action-OH!! With a frog splash of her own to Esquire! Referee Pat Rogers has lost all control over this one, Rick.
Rick – Yeah, this one's degenerated into an unregulated brawl in a hurry, and Pat has no choice but to let them go.
Dave – And whoa! The Canadian Crippler just evened the odds up with one devastating flying shoulder tackle that sent Xander up and over the top rope! Xander just landed awkwardly on the outside of the ring. That doesn't bode well for his team's chances of advancing in this tournament.
Rick – And no relief is in sight as the Crippler is climbing to the top, eyeing Xander up like a hawk. He waits for Xander to get up... TAKES him down with a cross body block from the top all the way down to the floor! And damn! Both men hit that steel barricade in a violent manner, much to these bloodthirsty fans' enjoyment. Just listen to them respond to the high-risk offense of the Crippler!
Dave – It's not only the Canadian Crippler's crazy dive, but Anya's manhandling, if you will, of Esquire in the ring, is making some waves as well. She's got Esquire backed up against the ropes, and is delivering some wicked knife-edge chops all about his torso!
[The crowd lets loose with the obligatory "whoos".]
Rick – Anya takes a step backwards now, and just unloads on Esquire with a standing dropkick that sends him to the floor! What a beautiful dropkick right to the mush!
Dave – It certainly was, but out on the floor we've got a contrast in styles as Xander and the Canadian Crippler are duking it out in what resembles a boxing match instead of a wrestling encounter. They're completely knocking each other goofy out there!
Rick – Esquire looks up to see the brutality and is quick to help his partner out by dropping Xander down to one knee with an axehandle smash to the back of the head. And now the Crippler and Esquire are just laying the boots to Xander!
Dave – But they've forgotten all about Anya who's still in the ring, and that may wind up being as big a mistake as they could make at this point, because she's got something in mind.
Rick – She certainly does, Dave. Anya backs up to the far ropes and gets a running start…dives over the top- uses her body as a human battering ram to knock both Esquire and the Crippler down! What an amazing move!
Dave – Yeah it was, but they don't deem moves such as that one high risk for nothing, Rick. Anya seems to have screwed that already injured knee up, and she's not moving. Hell, none of the four are moving for that matter.
Rick – Our official, Pat Rogers, is fed up with people not abiding his rules and has started a ten count.
[The fans count along with the referee. 1…2…3…4…and so on.]
Dave – Someone better make a move now or risk the consequences of the high risk nature this match has taken on in the past few minutes.
Referee and crowd – SEVEN!
Rick – The count is up to seven and all four are up to their feet, sort of. They appear to be on spaghetti legs, but all four are fighting it out none the less! Esquire rocks Xander with a stinging right jab!
Referee and crowd – EIGHT!
Dave - Anya ducks a Crippler clothesline, and drops him with a bulldog, while Esquire continues to fire away with some punches to Xander's face.
Referee and crowd – NINE!
Rick – They'd better hurry! Xander blocks a punch and fires back with one of his own!
Dave – And Anya appears to have completely blown that knee out as she's down on the ground, clutching at it in obvious pain.
Referee and crowd – TEN!
Rick – And Rogers is calling for the bell, Dave. It looks like this one is going to end in a double count-out.
Dave – Yeah, and it's a shame too, because all four of these great athletes busted it tonight to put on a great match that deserves to be fought to a decisive finish.
[The bell rings for a final time.]
Pattera – Ladies and gentlemen... the referee has informed me that both teams have been counted out of the ring, resulting in a double count out.
[That decision is met with heavy boos.]
Rick – That's not sitting well with the Planet Wrestling fan base, but the referee's decision is final.
Dave – It certainly is, but what does all of this mean for the tournament to crown new tag champs? Will the winner of the other quarterfinal simply get a bye into the final round of this tournament?
