A Short Bio, by uhh...me
"wait actually, i want to go back"
It all started on a windswept, monsoon-like night in the summer of 863 A.D. in outer Mongolia when a young boy named Deng met a challenge which would forever mark him as either hero or goat. Sure, you say, anybody can herd yaks. But what separated Deng from other yak herders was that quintessential blend of charm, intellect, an uncanny gift / ability to commune with animals(?), and a strong hand. Convinced he was indeed a Jewish descendant of Abraham who had been scattered to the far reaches of the Gobi, Deng met and fell in love with a young Jewish Chinese girl named Chun Li. And so the legend has grown since ancient times of how a poor but noble yak herder became one of the most pre-eminent figures in 9th century outer Mongolia. Now back to the challenge that |

would brand him forever. Faced by an onslaught of looters and pillagers from Japan, Deng bravely defends his family and village, single handedly defeating the mercenaries who had the gall to try to invade his territory. Three hours and twelve dead carcasses later, a battle-scarred Deng stands idle but tall....... So seriously, I don't know what else to put on this page. I haven't written a biography, since nobody but my pet pig (yes, i have one) would probably want to read it. I was born in the winter of 1977 during the Carter years, an era of stagflation, inflated afros, Three's Company, polyester and disco. I was born and raised on the outskirts of NYC, but I also have ties to SF and the bay area. These days I live in sunny San Diego, California. My sources of inspiration in life include my most amazing grandmother, the painter Paul Cezanne, polyester, Bob Ross, Bob Dylan, the color blue, and of course my Savior. At the moment, this list does NOT include: Billy Blanks, Richard Simmons, pretty much any and all politicans (except maybe Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford as I must respect any disco-era Presidents), Kobe Bryant, the flowbee, Menudo, or salads containing black olives or cucumbers. I dig sports, am a fan of Bob Dylan (both musically and poetically and also just as a cool mentor-type), enjoy movies, reading books, writing (to purge myself of emotional junk mostly), travelling outside of the USA, eating good food, and playing games and I am sort of a loner and a shy person. I don't really go out much. I think disco is cool, but you probably won't find me out clubbing on a Saturday night. I dunno, maybe if I were tall and handsome I would go places just to be seen. Honestly, if I had a lot of exciting things to do, I wouldn't be sitting here typing this right now. I hope to move to Spain, Norway, Italy or back to New York some day. I tried to cram a few interesting links on my main page. But since I couldn't really fit EVERYTHING I wanted on one itty bitty page, here are some more links for your perusing pleasure that also hopefully give you a little better idea of who or what I am, that is if you are the least bit interested.... |
