Whatta Man part 2

Carlie, Dori and Janie sang the begining of the song together and then Carlie stepped down from the stage and moved toward Kevin, her hips moving sensuously as she began the first verse.
I wanna take a minute or two, and give much respect due
To the man that's made a difference in my world
And although most men are ho's, he flows on the down low
Cuz I never heard about him with another girl
But I don't sweat it, because its just pathetic
To let it get me involved in that he said/she said crowd
I know that ain't nobody perfect, I give props to those who deserve it
And believe me y'all, he's worth it
So here's to the future cuz we got  through the past
I finally found sombody that can make me laugh
(Hahaha) you so crazy
I think I wanna have your baby
Carlie smiled up at Kevin on that line and moved away from him before he could reach out and grab her. The three joined in together and sang another round of the chorus, playing up to their guy, moving with practiced ease as Fatima had taught them.
Janie moved to the center of the stage, her eyes never leaving Nick's and as she sang she moved off the stage to stand in front of Nick's chair.
My man is smooth like Barry, and his voice got bass
A body like Arnold with a Denzel face
he's smart like a doctor with a real good rep
And when he comes home he's relaxed with Pep
He always got a gift for me everytime I see him
A lot of snot-nosed ex-flames couldn't be him
He never ran a corny line once to me yet
So I give him stuff that he'll never forget
He keeps me on cloud nine just like the Temps
He's not a fake wannabe tryin' to be a pimp
He dresses like a dapper don, but even in jeans
He's a God-sent original
The man of my dreams

Dori and Janie switched places and instead of going immediately to stand in front of AJ, Dori played to the crowd, teasing them and receiving catcalls and whistles of appreciation in return.
Yes, my man says he loves me, never says he loves me not
Tryin' to rush me good and touch me in the right spot
See other guys that I've had, they tried to play that mac sh**
But everytime they tried I said, "that's not it"

Dori then turned her attention to AJ and smiled at him, heat and desire standing in her eyes, as she sang the next part.
But not this man, he's got the right potion
Baby; rub it down and make it smooth like lotion
Yeah, the ritual, highway to heaven
From seven to seven he's got me open like Seven Eleven
And yes, its me he's always choosin'
with him I'm never loosin', and he know's my
names not Susan
He always has heavy conversation for the mind
Which means alot to me cuz good men are hard to find.
By now the shock of the three of them up there on stage had worn off  and Nick, AJ and Kevin were ribbing each other over the verses that their gal had sang to them. They danced along as the women sang the chorus, but as Carlie started the last verse, Kevin glued his eyes to her and watched every move she made.
My man gives real lovin', that's why I call him killer
He's not a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, he's a thriller
He takes his time and does everything right
Knocks me out with one shot for the rest of the night
he's a real smooth brother, never in a rush
And he gives me goose pimples with every touch
Spends quality time with his kids when he can
Secure in his manhood cuz he's a real man
A lover and a fighter and he'll knock a knucker out
Don't take him for a sucker cuz that's not what he's about
Everytime I need him, he's always got my back
Never disrespectful cuz his mama taught him that
They finished singing the last chorus and then took a bow as their friends broke into applause.
"Happy Birthday Baby" Carlie said as the applause died down.  Kevin smiled and said "Thank you" as he moved to the foot of the stage to help her down the steps.
"I will never forget the night I first saw you. You were dancing to that song and you smiled at me across the room" he said just before his lips met hers. Carlie grinned inwardly, he had remembered.
"You, little girl, are so bad, I definately have plans for you later tonight" AJ whispered in Dori's ear as he pulled her to him and hugged her tightly. Dori smirked and then whispered "Don't make me wait to long," leaving AJ completely speechless.
"So I'm smooth like Barry, with a body like Arnold and a Denzel face huh?" Nick asked Janie as he wrapped his arms around her. "Carter, don't make me regret singing those words to you. I'd hate like heck to have to burst your bubble" Janie returned, before tippy-toeing to kiss Nick's mouth. When she stepped back from him Nick wore a cheesy grin, his eyes were glazed over and his cheeks were pink. "I'd say you definately love me" he challenged. "Always Carter, always" Janie returned.
The rest of the evening passed in usual birthday style with cake, ice cream and presents, but the highlight of the night had been the girls singing Whatta Man. It was something the three couples and their friends would reminisce about for years to come.
