Ideas to think about when shopping for a florest

The first question you'll probably have, is that there are so many florists out there...how do I choose the right one?

Here are some helpful hints:

1. Get at least 2 or 3 different estimates.
2.Bring pictures that you have cut out of magazines of styles, flowers and ideas you like.
3. Bring swatches of all the bridal party's dresses (You can cut a piece of material off the hem). Also, bring a picture of your bridal gown.
4. Ask your florist for photos of weddings they have done as well as examples of their work.
5. Make sure they are available on your wedding date.
6. Choose flowers that are in season in your area to keep the cost down.
7. Get an estimate in writing. Make sure all the costs are stated (i.e. some florists charge extra for delivery, set up, and break down).
8. If you are ready to choose a florist, get a contract that spells out everything.
9. If you put down a deposit, make sure you get a written receipt.
10. A month before your wedding call the florist and make sure they are still doing your event.
11. A few days before your wedding call again.
