Laputa--Castle in the Sky

Laputa--Castle in the Sky...This is a movie created by the greatest anime director, Hayao Miyazaki. It is a story about a girl, Sheeta, who later is known as one of the two decendants of the people of Laputa, the floating fortress in the sky. With the magical "floating stone" as a guide and the help of a local boy Pazu and the sky pirates, Sheeta must fight against the other decendent (who happens to be an evil man working in the government) and find Laputa. A very exciting adventure movie, Laputa is an anime that is worth seeing by everyone.

NEWS! Miyazaki sensei is now producing a new movie called Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, or Sen and Chihiro Disappear. "The fantastic story starts when 10-year-old girl Chihiro disappears into the world of spirits in order to unspell the magic that changed her parents into pigs. This movie is planned to be shown in summer 2001 in Japan" (J-Dream Direct newsletter, Feb 20th, 2000). *cheers* I can't wait to see it!

You can listen to some great songs at Ming's Page and Laputa, Castle in the Sky.

Disclamier: All the images, characters, names, and songs belong to Hayao Miyazaki, Studio Ghibli, and other owners/creators that I might not be aware of. I'm just a poor student trying to honour the things I love by making a webpage for them...so don't sue me!
