A Plea for Peace.

A Plea for Peace.

As I sit in desolation,

Wondering at Gods creation,

It comes to mind, I know not why,

It is enough to make you cry.

The World is in an awful state,

We know that some just will not wait,

To bring an end to our current life,

Oh Lord, please keep us from this strife.

We go about our life as such,

To most it isn’t really much,

There is hunger, death and fighting too,

And here I sit and am asking you

Are you going to continue on,

Fighting and bombing ‘till all has gone,

Making life a misery,

For all, including you and me.

The end is nigh I know for some,

It is taking time for me to come,

To terms with this daily waste,

It leaves in my mouth an awful taste.

I hope each day the end is near,

Of all this fighting, some hold so dear,

Of what they have daily done,

To you and me and everyone.

The time has come to end it all,

To put down arms and heed the call,

To end this horrific slaughter,

It could be your son or daughter.
