Episode 12 Yugi’s classmate Bakura, becomes possed by his Millennium Ring’s dark powers and the evil Bakura traps Yugi and friends in a Shadow Game where they become the cards themselves! Not only must Yami Yugi duel to avoid becoming a permanent part of the card game, but also free save Bakura's soul from the evil pressence in the millennium ring.

Episode 1 Yugi and his friends are getting addicted on the greatest new game, Duel Monsters. When Seto Kaiba, a classmate of Yugi finds out that Yugi's grandpa owns a an extremely rare duel monsters card and offers to buy it, but Grandpa refuses to sell him the and rare valuable Blue Eyes White Dragon card, so Kaiba tries to take it by challenging him for it. Yugi's grandpa loses and Yugi gets mad and duels Kaiba. But thanks to Kaiba's virtual similator the monsters are all real! Kaiba quickly sends out three powerful blue eyes white dragons and Yugi's in trouble. But beliving his grandfather's deck Yugi does the impossible! With an incredible assault Yugi defeats Seto Kaiiba when summons the mighty Exodia.

Episode 2 Yugi and friends take a break to watch Weevil and Rex Raptor compete in the Duel Monsters Regional Championship. When Yugi opens a package sent to him from Duel Monsters creator, Maximillion Pegasus. Yugi is forced to face him in the mysterious Shadow Realm where all the monsters and magic become real. Yugi loses, and Pegasus takes Grandpa's soul as his prize! Now Yugi must travel to the Duelist Kingdom and win the Duel Monsters Tournament to save his grandfather's soul.

Episode 3 Yugi gives up one of his own star chips so that Joey may be allowed to board the boat bound for Duelist Kingdom and duel to save his sister’s vision. Meanwhile Tea and Tristan stowaway to support Yugi. But when word spreads that Yugi defeated World Champion Seto Kaiba Weevil devestates Yugi's deck by throwing overboard Yugi's five exodia cards!

Episode 4 When Yugi and his friends reach Duelist Kingdom, Pegasus makes a speech revealing that there are many strange secrets on the island which will make his ultimate tournament unlike any they’ve ever had. But when Weevil starts using these mysterious new rules against Yugi in a duel, Yugi must not only figure the rules out, but master them if he is to succeed!

Episode 5 As Joey searches for an easy dueling opponent so that he stands a chance of wining he finds himself courageously accepting a challenge from veteran duelist, Mai. But when Mai begins to using an unnerving psychic-like ability, Joey becomes extremely fustrated, leaving him with no choice but to figure out her secret strategy before falling victim to it and losing

Episode 6 The fisherman duelist Mako Tsunami has the master of the Sea Deck and sets a trap for Yugi and his friends. Yugi is forced into a duel on Mako's own sea playing field for the home-field advantage. Yugi must adapt to these new settings of the sea to turn the tide of the battle in his own favor.

Episode 7 When Yugi is eliminated from the tournament, Kaiba Corporation’s crooked Board of Directors will transfer control of the company from Kaiba to Pegasus. Kaiba’s younger brother Mokuba decides to challenge Yugi to a duel to protect his brother’s company and to get revenge of Kaiba's defeat. Will Mokuba succeed in his revenge?

Episode 8 Yugi must duel a magical creature of Kaiba's image, created from the greed and powerlust that Yugi removed from Kaiba’s soul. But with Yugi's best cards resting at the bottom of the ocean, Yugi must discover a new strategy if he’s to survive false Kaiba’s powerful Blue Eyes White Dragons.

Episode 10 Joey decides to duel against Rex Raptor without his friends’ help to prove that he can take care of himself and Serenity. But as Rex Raptor’s relentless monsters destroy Joey’s best cards with ease. But Tristan’s card reminds Joey that with his friends he can do anything.

Episode 13 Mai Loses all her star chips to an Eliminator! When Yugi and his friends hear of her defeat Yugi challenges the Eliminator, Panik, sacrificing all of his star chips for the return of Mai's star chips. The Eliminator agrees and the duel begins. But when Panik casts the Castle of Dark Illusions and turns the entire field into night giving his creatures protection and an advantage against Yugi's creatures. Yugi seems to be in trouble, However this is not the first time Yugi has dealt with bullys. Yugi quickly picks up on Paniks strategy and responds with great skill. He knows Panik likes to hide behind his creatures and attack from behind. So Yugi casts the Swords of Revealing Light card to freeze Paniks creatures for three turns. Then with his Curse of the Dragon card, Giea the Dark Knight and a Fusion card Yugi combines them into Giea the Dark Champion. Still this is still not enough to penetrate Panik's powerful wall so Yugi cleaverly uses his Catapult Turtle and sends his dark knight to attack Panik's wall. At first Yugi's attack seemed to do little damage to the Castle of Dark Illusions but then as Yugi ended his third turn Panik's wall crumbled to the ground removing Panik's remaining creatures and life points. With Panik's defeat Yugi is able to return all eight star chips to Mai leaving her feeling a new appreciation for Yugi.

Episode 14 Seto Kaiba seeks revenge! It's late when Seto Kaiba appears in the Duelist Kingdom looking for revenge against Pegasus for kidnapping his little brother and turning his associates against him. Once he arrives he wakes Yugi and his friends sending Joey into an angry fit. When Joey mistakingly challenges Kaiba to a duel, he has no idea what is in store for him in his next match. Kaiba agrees under one condition. They duel with his new 3D Duel Disks that are a whole new type of dueling with more realistic duel mosters that even smell bad! As soon as Kaiba casts his first creature Joey is already in big trouble, it slashes through everything Joey puts out. Joey seems to be out of luck. Even when he casts his Red Eyes Black Dragon, Joey's best creature, Kaiba responds with his Blue Eyes White Dragon and completely blows the Red Eyes away! Joey is defeated and Kaiba quickly leaves to save his little brother.
