Interesting site. About the essay on moral relativism, though- Have you heard of provisionalism (that although morals are not absolute there are a few things that are right or wrong in most circumstances, for most people in most cultures and that there can be exceptions only when there is a really good reason for it)? Traditionally, relativists have condoned harmful things like infant or child cicumcision (I say it's wrong regardless of the sex of the child) based on the excuse that its "just part of the culture". |
