I was at Cid’s house waiting for Mom to finish getting ready so that we could go to the fair. Katie was up at the mic, singing Jerry Springer, and Cindy was bouncing around like a chipmunk on speed. We FINALLY got in the car and got to the fair, where we found that Dr. Demento’s preshow had been moved to the bleachers behind the stage. There was a red velvet covered section right behind him. You could pay an extra thirty bucks and be able to sit right behind the good Doctor and watch the concert from behind. The velvet seats were packed with Dementoids and Dementites, singing and cheering. We had our own reserved seats, however, so we went in and sat down. Our seats were located in little wings right off the stage. We were almost just at the right angle to see inside Al’s changing booth. As we sat there, looking around, I saw Al sitting in the stands near us. I went over and sat down next to him, and we chatted until it was time for him to go onstage. My Take On It Next Dream |
