1. She's in a show about duel monsters, and she doesn't even know how to [duel].

Anime Anzu's actually a decent duelist. She beat the penguin guy (forgot his name) in Noah's arc and in episode two, we see that she kicked Jounouchi's butt on a regular basis too before he got much better. But why does it matter anyways? Having everyone on the show dueling would be boring.

2.She's weak.

Not really, she has alot of faith in herself and can stand up to people. But if you mean physically than yes, she can't beat up Honda in a fist fight o.O

3. I find her very selfish (e.g. after she that duel with the penguin guy she was cold, and yugi offered her his jacket. Than she saw him jumping up and down and all she cared about was getting out of there and being warm again. she could of just givin' back his jacket.)

Selfish huh? < sarcasm >Ohhh, that's why she stays by Yuugi's side through all those life threatening situations.< /sarcasm > Look at what Anzu's wearing and remember that her body was just incased from the neck down in ice during that duel-- she's got to be freezing her ass off more than Yuugi. Even if she did give the damn jacket back, he pobably would've refused =P (Yuugi being the perfect gentleman).

4. This one's very common, her obsession with friendship.

Everyone in the dub babbles about friendship more than nesseccary. And what about those cheesy "heart of the cards" speeches by Yami Yuugi?

5.She has a droky hair due. [She has a dorky hair 'do]

What a wonderful reason to hate a character (sarcasm btw). It's short and brown.... lots of people in real life have got it.

6.She's like a wanna be of a rockers, except all her chokers, and bracelets are pink and baby blue.

Um... so she's a wannabe rocker now because she wears bracelets and a choker? What does that make Yuugi in all his leather glory?

7. Bad fashion taste, and this is coming out from a girl who picks out her cloths from her laundry pile and will only wear it if it doesn't smell bad.

Yeah I agree that most of her clothes look bad but it's still a stupid reason to hate her. No one seems to condemn Malik (purple belly-baring hoodie?!).

8. Annoying voice -_-'

If you're going by the dub than yeah her voice is a little annoying but I don't think it's that bad the way some people keep going on about it. Besides, it's not a character's fault when they get a crappy voice actor. In the original anime, I found Yumi Kakazu did a great job voicing Anzu though.

9. Can't do anything for herself, always like "Oh help Yuugi"

Give me all the times she's ever said that.



Now below are some of the reasons why other YGO females are better than Anzu that this webmistress came up with.


Mai:

4. She never follows all the guys around like a w****.

They're her friends; in case you didn't know, friends often hang out with one another. She doesn't follow them around, she's one of them.

6. Mai has more of a backbone than Anzu ever will, and blahblahblah [yaps on about blondes or something]

Shizuka:

1. Well Serenity's first impression was real good. She took of her bandages and she dived in to save her big brother (Jounouchi/Joey), while Anzu's first impression was some sign of friendship on there hand, and stuff bout friendship too.

*scoff* More like Shizuka was having a hissy fit at the hospital because Jounouchi wasn't there to hold her hand.

3. She learned how to duel on the spot, I mean she only saw 2 duals in her life, and one she only heard cuz she was blind at the time. And she was also in a tuff problem. While Anzu has been watching Joey and Yuugi and Kaiba dual for a year and she still sucks.

Honda had to protect Shizuka during the duel because she kept making mistakes. And then when he lost because of her, she was too depressed to continue on with the match (sitting on the floor like a twit) even when Otogi really needed her help. It's not until Jounouchi arrives that Shizuka is able to stand up and remember some of the advice Honda had given her earlier on dueling (as you can see, I'm no Shizuka fan). Like I said earlier, Anzu may not be as good as Yuugi, but she isn't some half wit either.

5. Sure she has an annoying voice but Serenity’s and Anzu's voice are made by the same person.

No they're not.


Isis:

2. Is very persuasive with Kaiba. While Anzu says "You need friend" She says "You WILL belive in faith Kaiba"

Believe in faith? That makes no sense. Actually, this whole reason makes no sense... Isis is very persuasive with Kaiba? Um, Kaiba never actually cared about anything Isis said to him.

6.Wears decent clothing.

I guess she thinks that wearing skirts are indecent. And I guess she must be a hyprocrite too, since Mai's outfit is skankier than Anzu's but she still claims that Mai is better.

10. Very calm and only girl who never cried (excludin' BEWD)

So crying is a crime now? *rolls eyes* What's wrong with Anzu shedding some tears when Jounouchi almost died in his duel against Yami Marik? Or when she had to say goodbye to Yami Yuugi forever?

11. She had a tough life, and never relied on friendship.

What the..? Since when was relying on friendship such a bad thing? Yuugi and Jounouchi would never have made it as far as they did without their friends helping them. One of the things this series teaches you is that life is hard and it doesn't matter if you're self-sufficient like Mai or tough like Kaiba-- in the end, you need people that you can trust who will support you no matter what.
