The Teacher:
Luis Salgado, recently choreographed "Starting Today", "The Drop Outs", "Fire & Ice" Atlantic City and the "Super Stars Live 2" Show at El Dorado Hotel in Louisiana. He has worked with renowned Latin artists such as, Paulina Rubio & Thalía among others. He was the Dance Double in "Dirty Dancing 2 Havana nights"; Created the role of Frankie Suarez in "The Mambo Kings" and you can catch him dancing in the upcoming Julie Taymor film "Across the Universe". Luis is the Dance Captain of the Elton Jhon Musical "Aida" in Westchester.
Class Description:
The student will work on basic technique while having a lot of fun and developing the performing skills. The 2 hour class begins with a 45 minute warm up that includes isolation, coordination, strength and lots of flexibility exercises. In a very optimistic but challenging way Luis pushes his students to bring out the best in them and combines different choreography styles, always adding the latin flavor and the passion that lives within him. |
