| Short Answer 1.Q:Who were the Hesssinas? Tell about them in detail. A: The Hessian were mercanary and vicious soilders that was sent from Germany. 2. Q: What happened when Jonathan went out to the shed? What happened to the boy's parents? Jonathan found a very yound boy. He sat on the ground, his feet bare, his linsey-woolsey blouse veined with dirt, and with mud all over his face. The boy's parents was killed by the Corporal and other men. They were lying in the feilds together and Jonathan buried them. 3. Q: Why didn't the men trust the corporal? Give examples. A: The men didn't trust him because he was overfond of killing. Plus, he lied to them by telling there will be more soilders in Snydertown to help them. 4.Q: What happened on the day Jonathan joined the regiment? Be specific. A:He felt like a hero and he thought it was exiting to fight. He thought the Americans will win easily. 5. Q:Descibe in detail what happened when Jonathan confronted the Hessians at the house. | How did Jonathan's feeling about war change? List three major changes he went through and give examples of each. At first Jonathan thought war was exiting and wearing a fancy uniform was what he liked. he also wanted to use a gun and he thought he could do anything. He thought the Americans would always win. He thinks war is just shooting and winning. So he snuck out because he thought he was doing the right thing. Jonathan's feelings changed alot. Before he thought fighting was easy anf fun but when he got started in a troop, he had to walk couple miles. Then they had to be very quiet. He also had a corporal that blames everyone. When Jonathan reaced the battle feild and had to put powder in his huge gun that was bigger and heavyier then he thought. When the Hessian arrived everyone just shooted like crazy. Plus, the smoke filled the sky and Jonathan could not see what was happening. Jonathan also couldn't bear to see dead parents and people. Whne he returned from fighting he scared his parents badly.
