I rebuilt the Dream Rod after it was warped in our hot car at the 1961 Seventh Annual National Championship Drag Races at Speedway Park, Indianapolis. I added a lot of detail and replaced the warped 1959 Chevy trunk with a 1961 Corvette. I opened the doors, hood, trunk, front/rear suspension, tube frame and added a front blown chrome Chevy small block.Changed the paint color from Candy Blue to Candy Red. Vintage photo shows diorama as seen at the model shows in 1963 but before the wire spoked wheels were added.
