'56 Chevy Arizona-Built Custom
My first and second cars were '56 Chevies, so it's a personal favorite. However, I've never built a model of it. The concept is to cut the car to late model Corvette dimensions. I've shortened the trunk a whopping 15 inches, the body is shortened 11 inches through the doors and the body is sectioned below the beltline from none in the rear to 7 inches at the front axle. The windshield is being tipped back and the roof shortened 11 inches. This will be a quickie (?) curbside model. Ed: Two years later it's not done! |

Front pan is from the trunk section. Notice the hood change. |

Added the radiused wheelwells using copper wire. Old school isn't it! |

I formed the grill from copper wire. I got this idea from customizing magazines showing Sam Barris using conduit. |
