.Rules are a good thing! Read them all thoroughly so you won't have to ask about things when you're playing. New rules are in WHITE
---General Rules---
NO TALKING.
(I see some of you have outworn this rule, if you make minimal conversation, it doesn't matter to me, but don't start dropping flowers and such.)Keep cussing to a mimimun. NO porn etc. No impersonating. No powerplaying or godplaying. Be as realistic as possible please. No wild horse is 16+ hands high, keep your height realistic. Only join as a wild breed. That makes no thoroughbreds, quarter horses ect. THANK YOU!!!
---Seasons---
I will change the season every month or so, give or take a couple days. Four RL months is one RP year, etc. Mares can go into heat any time but please have it as all mares go into heat in the spring/early summer. I shall prolong spring a little longer so that mares have more of a chance to breed. Winter is a very hard season, please recongnize this and food is hard to find, just keep this in mind.
---Claiming/Joining---
Be realistic, do not say stuff like 'He drops a rose and her feet and invites her to come with him'. That's not realistic!Forced claims are allowed. Stallions, you may claim anyway you like and have as many mares as you like but keep it in reason. You may not join any younger than 3. Foals are liable to death by an unrealated stallion.
---Stallions---
You are the top dogs of the game. You have the right to do anything you please. Your lifelong goal is to become an ultimate stallion. You want the biggest harem and the most offspring, but don't carry it to excess. [i.e. claiming every mare that comes along]. You are naturally dominant, malicious creatures, but again, do not go overboard .Stallions may claim a territory IF they have 2 mares. Only one terra per stud. Be alert and active! If you are not, your mares are liable to be stolen.
.Your main goal is to obtain the largest herd in DS, have the most offspring and be part of the top 5 stallions
.If you win/steal a mare with a colt of any age and is not of your blood you MUST kill it off, it may souund crude but real wild stallions would relentlessly kill a colt that is not their offspring
.If you win/steal a mare with a filly, you dont have to kill it, usually a stallion will keep a filly fathered by any stallion even after the mare has been won back and a differnet mare from his band will adopt it so he can use her for breeding when she is of age
.Colts are chased from the herd when they attempt to breed one of the stallions mares, and usually take one of his sires mares as his first mare, excpet thoes in relation to him (mothers, sisters hal sisters ect)
.Stallions are very possesive and will go out of their way to get a mare they fancy
---Mares---
It's true that there are insubordinate mares out there, but in this game, I will not have every mare bitchy. Many other games are overpopulated with dominant mares. Dominance is a natural thing when it comes to other mares. You want to be the queen of the herd. You may be as nasty as you wish to lower ranked mares, but be reasonable. There are two ranks in a herd. Lead [aka queen] and beta. after that, the rest are unranked. The lead is the stallion's favorite, and it's obvious that every mare will want this position. Beta is the second favorite and is in charge whenever the alpha is absent. Lead mares decide when and where to move. They are to be obeyed without question.
.A mares goal in life s to become the top ranking mare of the stallions herd, unless they are usually submissive, and to obtain a top 5 position
.Mares have the run of the herd, they have the ability to chase any more of lower rank from the herd with the stallions consent
.Fillies are chased from the herd when they first come into heat
.If a stallion claims a mare, she MUST go with him, and can fight with him once she is in the territory, since mares see stallions as a source of protection and shelter, they dont have to like him they just have to go with him and may challenge for their freedom, though only by role play.
.Mares as usually very dominant, but know when they are to submit. lowe ranking mares always show respect to higher ranking mares and are not unruly towards them
.This is a realistic RPG, meaning ig. you are challenged for/stolen you cannot leave and searh for your 'romeo'
---Challenging---
1: Mares can only challenge for positions.
2: Stallions can challenge for everything .
3: You may challenge for a single mare or an entire harem, but it's unlikely that you would win if you did so.
4: Challenging for TT's is also allowed, but frowned upon.
.When a mare challenges for her freedom she must use Role Play
.Only 1 challenge per day
.Challenges to the death are permitted, though only by RP method
.Challenges for an entire herd are aloud
.No Powerplaying/God Playing
.If using RP method, 3 messages per player and 2 attacks and 1 defense per post, 1 must be accepted and taken critically
.RP battles are judges by realism, tactic, origionallity and the one you has the least harm in the end
.You may not judge your own Battles
.Must be 3 or over to battle
---Stealing---
You must post at the stealing board if you wish to attempt a steal. You may do invisible steals. Look to see if a stallion is away at the time of stealing; if he is, the steal is devoid.
Only designated staff are able to say weather your steal is succesfull or unsuccesfull
---Breeding---
When breeding post the stats of the stallion and mare. I will post your foal's stats. Twins are very, very rare and mares scarely live through the birth of twins.
---Disasters---
Please check the page regularly because I will be updating it often! When a disaster hits your tt, follow the directions given with your disaster.
---Top Five---
The top if are randomly choosen elite mares/stallions who deserve recognition. The top 5 stallions/mares are more likely to win dice and coin challenges. To become a top five mare/stallion you must challenge the number five, by combat only, and work your way up the ranks. FIRST though you must ask winterheart or sammy permission, for the top five are not just judged on skill but also on activity and commitment to the game.
---Elite Mares + Stallions---
The Rebels and Dementias are two elite groups of mares and stallions, not necessarily unruly and malevolent but the most advanced rpers of Dreamscape. the password to join Dreamscape is *leaf*
The 'queen' of the Rebels, and 'king' or 'queen' of the Dementias must be respected
The Leads and Seconds can kick you out of the herd if they wish
To have a 'rebel' mare in your herd is a privlage, treat them with respect and they will return it most likely. Studs who belong to the elite groups are recognised as good fighters and will be harder to beat in challenges. If you are refused entrance to the Dememtias, or The Rebels, dont take it personally
Leading rankers will kick others out from the herd to make room for more advanced RP's who come along seeking acceptance
