| The End of the Line - Percy Main Wagonway Not strictly a factual image, the sky was very light so I added a rather unreal looking cloudscape. At one time rail lines sprawled all over the area, feeding the import-export of coals, fruit etc. As a child I wandered this area freely and just a few yards from where this picture was taken used to stand the engine yard, huge blackened brick buildings already empty, only a few steam trains still being used on the tracks. Now there is a short section of track which is used by the Stephenson Railway Museum to run little trips for the visitors. This is, as the name suggests, the very end of the remaining track.
