Respected for his talent by the entertainment industry, Dre was photographed and recognized in the July 2003 issue of VIBE Magazine. He is repeatedly the stepping advisor of choice, selected as co-choreographer and dancer for multiple R. Kelly videos and events including; “Step in the Name of Love” video in 2003, 2003 Vibe Awards, 2003 BillBoard Music Awards, “Happy People” video in 2004, and in 2004 Dre & Company was invited to join R. Kelly on the “Best of Both Worlds” tour and performed in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. He most recently performed and choreographed the stepping performance during the national anthem for the HBO airing of the Hopkins Versus Taylor Fight at Mandalay Bay on December 3, 2005.
Dre provides instructions at all levels from beginners to advanced, not only stressing partnering techniques - following and leading, but also individual footwork and freestyle. He has played a significant role in the development of some of the best competitive steppers and stepping instructors in Chicago. In addition to teaching in Chicago, he has held multiple workshops in Los Angeles, CA, Washington, DC, Las Vegas, NV, St Louis, MO, Dallas, TX, and many other cities across the nation.
