| He has played a guitar since he was thirteen.When he was in high school he formed a band called Mudcrutch,which later became the Heartbreakers.After recording an album,which Petty thought was garbage,he punched the studio wall.The aftermath of this punch left Petty with several broken bones in his hand and he was told he would never play the guitar again,but fortunately for the music world he made a fast and full recovery.After his recovery he played in the Traveling Wilburys and recorded a few more albums with the Heartbreakers. |
| There has been a lot of talk about Tom Petty's death but if he was dead how could have all his great songs been written,recorded and performed.And if he did die why would someone go through all the trouble to make someone else look famous.Another reason I don't think he was dead is during the time when he was supposed to be in a coma,somebody would have found out or the family would have come forward or it would have been published in a book,newspaper or the television. |
