Welcome to the Drem Solar System

The main star Drem:

The Main star that gives the system its name: Drem:, here is an interesting unusually quiet M-star that still puzzles scientists who study this star. The star has been debated about mostly about if the star had a life bearing planet or not.

The Asteroid Belt:

The “Night Spirits”: Asteroid Belt (The “Night Spirits”) which is interesting in how close it is to Drem is full of metallic asteroids and some silicate asteroids of interest to astronomers and planetary scientists alike.

The Planets:

The close in system is a surprise to most scientist who were expecting a very simple, not much of anything kind of system, yet, this system which still is demanding questions be asked is still slowly revealing her secrets.

The Outer System:

The outer system which is full of icy asteroids and comets is what most planetary scientists expected is still full of surprises, due the odd presence of silicate asteroids, and some large planet sized objects floating out in the frozen wastes of Drem’ outer zone.

Drem B:

Not really a surprise, since the brown dwarf has been studied for decades, yet the presence of a planetary belt orbiting this small T-dwarf is presenting questions of all kinds for planetary scientists.

The Oort cloud:

The Oort cloud, objects very far out, even for a small star such as Drem, these objects are a haven for icy, organics and interstellar gases where due to close encounters with other stars, these “ice-balls” start their journey toward the inner system usually as comets, or as other more interesting objects.

Thanks:

To all the creators/programmers of Celestia, the pictures were done with Celestia 1.4.1. Thanks to all those that graciously contributed pictures, spectra, and all the other tidbits that make this site possible. Of course all of you get your due credit when your addition is seen…J
