| HOW TO DISCOURAGE YOUR PASTOR Most of us want to believe that pastors are superhuman. We expect them to serve us by preaching good sermons, encourage us when we are down, visit us and stay in good health the whole year through. But pastors are people just like you and me. They have their ups and downs. They get discouraged too, especially when you: 1. Sleep during his sermon. 2. Do not pray for him. 3. Roast your pastor during Sunday lunch time (talk about his blunders). 4. Don't visit him when he is sick. 5. Overwork your pastor! Just be a spectator in the church. 6. Increase his salary only once in every tern years. 7. Deliberately forget about his birthday. 8. Assign your pastor to be the worship leader, usher, preacher, and accompanist every Sunday. 9. Do not invite visitors to come to your church. 10. Be indifferent to his vision for the church. 11. Don't share your blessings with your pastor and his family. SOURCE: Unknown |
