Perhaps An Explanation Is In Order...
I, like many of my friends, greatly enjoy costuming for the sake of costuming. The combined joy of accomplishing a creative endeavor and getting to have fun wearing and displaying said manifestation of your imagination and skill is nigh unmatched. It may be an original design or an outfit donned by your favorite musician, anime, tv, comic, movie, book, or video game character. Anything goes, and you don't have to have made the pieces yourself - though that is encouraged. Creatively assembled outfits are always welcome.
The problem arises when you cannot afford to attend all of the various cons in your area, or simply run out of them! Personally, there are not nearly enough such events to satisfy my taste. Here we have the point of this website. It began as a jest (or at least the name did) in response to my friend expressing a sentiment similar to that above, but upon considering it at length I've decided to solidify the plans a bit more and really make it a semi-regular event with a website to display the resulting pictures.
Back in high school, a friend and I did something very similar and the pictures from that tea party will be the first posted in the gallery.
The Plan Thus Far
I may or may not have time to do a LDUARAMHTATPWCCWCAA Con in San Diego before the summer ends, but if I do, I will be sure to let those of you in the area know.
Since I'd like people to actually be able to attend, the picking of dates for these events will be a group project. I'm not sure when would be a good time for the first one of the year, but I'll work on figuring that out after we all know what our schedules will be.
