The Dukes of Hazzard was a television show that ran form 1979 to 1985 on CBS. Currently reruns of the show are on TNN. It was about two cousins who were on probation for running moonshine. Every show always has chase sceens, Boss and Rosco trying to put the boys in jail for a crime they didn't do, and a happy ending. The reunion movie was on in 1997 and was the similar to the series. Bo Duke(John Schneider)
Bo was the General's wheelman. While Luke drove sometimes, Bo was the driver that usually got away from Rosco. Bo usually helped the duo find trouble.
Luke Duke(Tom Wopat)
Luke was an ex marine and usually held his own against a bigger man. He got the duo out of trouble.
Daisy Duke(Catherine Bach)
Daisy was the best thing going in Hazzard. She could drive like Petty, shoot like Anie, and turn heads anywhere she went. Daisy drove a '72 Roadrunner(Bo and Luke then drove it off a cliff and she got Dixie the Jeep).
Jesse Duke(Denver Pyle)1920-1997
Uncle Jesse raise Bo, Luke, and Daisy after there parrents died. Jesse was the kindest man in Hazzard. Jesse and Boss ran Moonshine back in their day.Jesse drove an old white Ford pickup.
Cooter Davenport(Ben Jones)
Cooter was an automotive mastermind. Cooter built the General with the boys and could always fix it after an accident(All 320 of them). When it was time to paint the General the only color he had left was oarnge. And the rest is history...
Rosco P. Coltrain(James Best)
Rosco made 50% of 50% of 50% of Boss's money traps. Rosco only had one true love in life and that was Flash(pictured). Rosco took her with him everywhere. Rosco had trouble catching the Duke boys and he only did if the General was acting up.
Enos Stait(Sonny Shroyer)
Enos would give the boys a break whenever he could. Enos was madly in love with daisy but they never married.
Cletus Hogg(Rick Hurst)
Cletus was at the end of the line when brains were handed out. He always was a little bit too easy to fool and the Dukes got a lot by him. Boss was always angry at him for letting the Dukes get away.
J.D.(Boss)Hogg(Sorrel Booke)1930-1994
Boss was the county comissioner(scammer). He was always doing something to make a dollar. Boss never spent a day out of his white suit(He was a deputy in one episode).
General Lee(1969 Dodge Charger)
The General Lee was built in Cooter's Garage. It was by far the fastst car in Hazzard County. The General could jump washed out bridges and land with out a scratch(yeah right). She had a 440, 383, 318, or whatever the engine was that they had ready for action. Now some people say the General had a Hemi. Don't run and bet on this. The reason the WB didn't use Hemi cars is because they could run a 383 or 440 until the car was shot and do a quick check up on the engine and it got put into another car. Hemi parts aren't cheap, but some cars may have been Hemis but not many. What color was the General?(Ever wonder?) The General is Hemi orange or hugger orange, and some cars were a mixture of oranges that were left over. So if you re making a General paint it hemi or hugger or just paint it your favorite orange.
