Wishing Again
Through the mist of time comes a vision
Drifting silently from among my memories
Young and free running among the pines
Youth was mine and adventure awaited
Learning everything, carefree and willing
The vision drifted like a fantasy queen
In and out of my life, smoky and misting
Leaving behind a lesson of life soon seen
On to others and this time with care
To keep from losing what I could share
Yet always looking for the black lace illusion
And never finding that golden vision
Sheltered, without adventure and daring
Never to live fully and feel the pleasure
Simply it was taboo to do any explaining
That there was much to discover and treasure
Finally found and to be treasured lovingly
Black lace illusion or golden vision of mine
Content to once again walk among the pine
With youth spent but adventure still awaiting
