Being an American means many things: That I can have the freedom to say or do just about anything
That I can vote for whom I want to
That I can worship where and how I choose to
That I can go to bed at night secure in the belief that
I will wake up safe in the morning
And who do I have to thank for all of this?
Well, first, there are the visionary people who founded our Country
Without them, none of the rest would be possible
And then there are the countless men and women who
Have fought and died to keep our country free
They are the unsung heroes that I thank for
All of the great things about this country
 of mine that I love
My Uncles and Father were among some of the soldiers
 that fought in various wars
From WWII to Vietnam, to Korea
 They fought for our freedom
Thankfully, they all came home unscathed
But forever changed by what they had seen
Many other sons, husbands, and fathers did not come back home
Their lives and their families' sacrifices have bought us
All of the freedoms that so many take for granted
 Let us not forget them
Celebrate The Freedom They Gave Us!
