The Finished Paint Job
My car is finally painted, and it turned out beautifully!!  Instead of being a dull gray,  then to a multi-colored car, it finally looks respectable in it's new coat of BLACK!!

These are pictures of Friday Sept. 10, 1999.  The day my car was finished when they pulled my car around.  These are my firsts views of my car!  Bill and I went to Maaco and this is what we saw, Bill's and my jaw hit the floor! I couldn't believe my eyes.  Praise the Lord.  It looks better than I could ever imagine!
Since Dad, Bill, and I did all of the prep work, Maaco just masked and sprayed my car.  They were having a deal that week, where they would paint for only $265.  Any other work was extra.  So Dad and I made sure we did all the necessary prep work for my car.  We were told that they would shoot a body filler primer and at least 3 coats of paint.  After I got my car home, I saw no evidence of primer, and over spray got on my wheels.  I was upset about these two things, but I just took some aluminum wheel polish and buffed out the overspray before it really set in.  Because there was no primer as far as I can tell,  imperfections show through the paint.  Well, unless you know exactly where the spots are or really look close, they are hardly noticable.  I am very well pleased with how my car turned out.  Praise God!
Maaco only painted the outside, they didn't open the doors and shoot the jams.  I expected this, so I purchased some automotive spray paint and my Dad and I spent an afternoon doing the finishing touches to my paint.  I must say it was worth the effort.
