Westward Movement |
The westward movement influenced many settlers. Leaving their earlier roots behind. Families went west in search of new begining's, land, and a new place to settle. Many were first families of the home States in which they were born. As a fourth Texas generation born daughter, many family lines connect unto the first families. As the youngest grandaughter of William J. Driver born 1843, this homepage is under the title of "Driver Family History". These 150 years from my grandfather William Jefferson Driver, unto my father, and unto me, only expands three generations. Other family links are provided with additional pages to search under the "Driver Family History". The westward movement expanded the families, as lands were settled, I hope these pages help the researcher as "New Territory" is re-visited. Janice Leathers |
