                                                   Wednesday, August 7

Dear Family and Friends,
What a glorious day!  This update is being typed from Jim's HOME computer instead of in the hospital hallways.  Jim had a peaceful night.  He slept most of the day as his dad and Debbie packed up his room. His last bag of chemo was hung at 5:00.  After much organization of medications, Jim, his dad, and Debbie left the floor around 6:30.  They stopped at Arby's and then had an uneventful trip home.  They arrived home around 8:30 and were greeted by family and Jim's partners, Ted and Steve, who are like family. We were also fortunate to have a visiting nurse here to help get Jim settled in.  Dinner tonight was pizza, although Jim really had a taste for Mexican food, so Chi-Chi's was also picked up.

A special thanks to all of you who were at the bone marrow drive supporting Jim.  We hope to see more of you tomorrow. Jim and Debbie's family members will be there to greet you. Please check August updates, page 3, for details about the drive. The test  is a simple finger poke. It is a quick process.  You automatically go on the National Registry where you could potentially save someone's life. There are many people waiting for a donor, including a 6 year old girl named Victoria. She also has leukemia.  Her picture will be on the website tomorrow.  If you are interested in helping Victoria's cause, you can email her at savevictoria@hotmail.com.

May the Lord bless Jim with a very peaceful night.  We cannot tell you how wonderful it is to see him at his own kitchen table eating.  Please continue to pray for Jim's complete recovery.  Thanks for all of your support!

Sincerely,
Jim's Family
