Toño's Biography
Toño Rosario's real name is Máximo Antonio del Rosario. This great Dominican artist was born On November 3, 1955, in the Dominican Republic in a beautiful province called Higuey. His tendency to the music began from very child and also his brothers. When they were children they were in the habit of touching with instruments created by them, since they were not possessing(relying on) the resources to buy royal(real) instruments.
These boys were using hulls of glass bottle (they were using it like key), empty plastic packings(packages) or of tin (they were using it as bass drum) and cornetines. They were in the habit of touching and to sing in the houses of the neighbors and this way he then inspired to being what they are today LosHermanos Rosarios. The group began with Pepe, Toño and Rafa as singers of the orchestra and the others(other) Luis, Tony and Francis as members of the group. After Pepe Rosario's disappearance, Rafa and Toño took the leadership of the group being Toño the principal singer.
After
having reached big successes in the group and visiting the rooms mas important
of Latin America and Europe, Toño decides to leave the group and decides
to form his own proper orchestra. To achieve his dream he travel to the island
of Puerto Rico and there he made a début with his orchestra On April
14, 1990 in The coliseum Roberto Clemente of San Juan. The close page in Toño
Rosario's life already they all know it, Toño manage to turn to himself
in the popular merenguero most and of major international prestige and that
of major sale of cd (apart from Juan Luis Guerra). This charismatic merenguero
has gained disc platinum and one possesses(relies on) one of the best musical
contracts between(among) the merengueros .
