ANIMALS AND US
I am not sure even how to begin this section of my pages. I have so many thoughts and find myself flying in
so many different directions. Animals are a very sensitive topic for me. There is so much inside of me, the
intensity is explosive. As I began to prepare for this, I surfed for many days, looking and reading. I was
unprepared for the many graphic pages there are out there on this very topic. I am sickened and disgusted. NO,
not at the graphics (although they will break your heart), but the fact that there are so many pages out there.
It has caused some additional thoughts to be formed as I surfed. Why do we have to have these pages? Why do we
continue to treat animals as if they are disposable, worthless items put here for our use? Where did we ever
get the initial feeling that "we" the pompous minded higher intelligent beings, that it is okay for us to
determine the usage of animals? Usage? Who gave us the right to do this? When did we drop to this level?
Consider this.....
"Whenever An Animal Is Forced Into The Service Of Men Everyone Of Us Must Be Concerned For Any
Suffering It Bears On That Account. No One Of Us May Permit Any Preventable Pain To Be Inflicted, Even Though
He Would Be Interfering In Something That Does Not Concern Him. No One May Shut His Eyes And Think The Pain,
Which Is Therefore Not Visible To Him Is Non-existent."
Dr. Albert Schweitzer
I'm sure I could write a book, or two, on this subject. But would anyone really read it?
Probably the ones who are supporting the very thing I am. So, what purpose would that accomplish?
Maybe the old adage of a picture being worth a thousand words is closer to fact than we know. Why?
Because the ones that have no feelings, think its awesome. Even those who sometimes are offended by the
gory
details, always seem to stop and look at the pictures. I think, this may be the way to go.
What it would take me months to say, can easily be said by just looking at the pictures. Isn't that a sick
society? But then the mistreatment of animals is done by a very twisted, sick society.
The anger inside of me is overwhelming. The gaul of "us" to think that we can just put animals in cages
and ~test~ is enough to make you want to withdraw from the human race. (Funny how with just one little "E"
added to the word human, it becomes what all of us should be!!) What purpose is it to instill on these
animals, the testing of poisons. For instance, why bother to pour
Drano down its throat? Doesn't everyone
know what that will do? Why does a living creature have to endure this? Would you want it done to you?
But yet they, at the animal testing laboratories do this, and other things just as painful to animals everyday.
They inject chemicals into their bodies, eyes, pour down their throats. And, folks, this isn't for medical
research. That's another story in itself. No, these testings are so we can use make up, or laundry soap, bath
soap, perfume. We have tested this same kind of product for many years. There is enough data to use without
having to use live animals. The very sad thing is its really for nothing anyway. Most of these animals do not
have the same kind of chemical make up as we do anyway. So what good is all this? Putting chemicals in a
rabbits eyes has no bearing on what it would do to the human eye, they don't have anything in common with our
eyes. They aren't allowed to touch their eyes , they are restrained. I dare you to imagine the suffering these
animals go through. Could you even dream how this must hurt, and the injections that cause tumors to grow, the
slow death, the pain. I can not imagine how these animals can take it, how they must wish for death. That is
their only escape. Even if they were all rescued, they would have to be put to sleep. There would be no healing
for them. The testing causes blindness, convulsions, crippling, disfiguring, and the list goes on. Why are we
doing this? Why do we allow this to go on? How do those people sleep at night?
And we continue to support their actions by buying those very products!!! You can always look at the labels and
only participate with the companies that do not test on animals.

Visit this site and find out how to be a part of the solution. There are so many kittens, cats now that are
unwanted. Help stop the euthanization, starvation,
and abuse of the animals.
