We are all members of 1st Runwell Scout Group, which is based in Wickford in Essex. All three of us joined at Beavers (6-8), and went pretty much together through Cubs (9-11) and Scouts (11-16). The Venture Scout unit (17+) at 1st Runwell is/was called Dionysus, the Greek God of wine.
Unfortunately due to a seriously stupid nationwide decision by the Scout Association which has in my view had a major negative impact on our group, Dionysus is no more, although Rich and I are actively involved with the scout group.
This website is nothing to do with scouting other than that Runwell is where the three of us met. I hope you enjoy reading it.
