New Zealand Trip

I went to New Zealand for just over a week in January, 2001. I went with a bunch of friends, and together we explored the 'nature' of New Zealand's South Island, in style. I took many a photo, I used two cameras for photographing, which was very convenient. Below are some of those photos, not all of them, as I selected the few that say 'something'. This is the first set.

This is in Christchurch, and pretty much the centre of town. That little red dude has a name "Rudy", but you can call him what you like. The background is some church, I think it's main importance is that it's pretty much the centre of Christchurch.

The bus kind of broke down, and so we stayed here for a bit - some of us decided to climb this mountain, although from the photo, it's not as high as you think.

Here is Ben, and I am wondering what he is looking at too.

This is the view of the road in front of the bus. I quite liked this one, with the colours, and the mountains meeting at their bases, near the centre of the photo.

I stumbled on this as I was walking on this huge mountain, and at the time I thought that it would look nice as a photo. Seems alright too.

Attempt here to maximise depth of field effect. The blue haze in the background is caused by the huge distance between me and the mountains. Clarity is influenced by distance.

I'll put some more photos up, but I think this html file is big enough now.
