Technique- the advancement of low force treatment.
This instrument is called an activator. It can specifically deliver an adjustment to any joint area of the body. In this photo the activator is simulating an adjustment to the 5th lumbar vertebra. What makes this technique unique is it's ability to adjust from a light tap to a more forceful adjustment depending on the patient's pain tolerance.
This is another simulation below of the activator making an adjustment in the cervical (neck) spine.
The table in the background below is a modern drop piece table allowing the Dr to specifically adjust the patient while the patient is lying face down. The table has gentle drop pieces under the face and pelvic area allowing the Dr. to use light pressure releasing the drop piece to achieve the adjustment. The table is lowered to a horizontal position and when treatment is through the table is brought back to this position and the patient steps off.
