Here's an English saddle.  I can't tell exactly on this picture, but it looks like an all purpose saddle.

This is a Western saddle.

This is a halter.  Even if you have a horse that you don't ride, it's a necessary item.

This is a bridle without a noseband.

This is an english bridle.  It has a flash noseband.

This is an eggbutt bit.

This is a Western bit because it has shanks.
