Apachetas of the World

Coming some day: photographs and descriptions of apachetas from around the world.

Submissions

We're soliciting submissions of apachetas you've visited or constructed. We'd like:

Send materials to submissions·apachetas·org. We also accept entries via snail mail. Contact submissions for more information.

If possible, don't edit your photo before sending it to us. We prefer files less than 2 megabytes; if yours are larger, please contact submissions before sending them.

The Fine Print

apachetas.com is the same web site as apachetas.org. The Fine Print applies to both sites.

Copyrights

The apachetas.org web site, with the exception of items submitted by others, is copyrighted by Jim Kvochick and Mike Carroll.

By submitting entries to apachetas.org you are implicitly granting apachetas.org permission to post the entry on the apachetas.org web site. You are also implicitly stating that you have the right to submit the photos and text, and that apachetas.org will not be liable for any copyright infringement.

apachetas.org makes no other claim on your submission. You retain all rights to your entry. apachetas.org will not republish your entry in any other format without your explicit permission.

Be aware that any visitor to the apachetas.org web site can download your photos and text. If this is not acceptable to you, do not submit the entry to apachetas.org.

Privacy

We display the place name where an apacheta is located. We don't provide directions to any apacheta, but the submittor may include this in their description or story. Many apachetas are located on private or restricted-access property; you must get permission before you visit.

Information We Collect

We collect information from you when you submit an entry. This includes the email address (and possibly your real name) from which you sent the submission, your email address and real name if you included it in the contact information, and any other information you may send us. We'll use that information to contact you if we have questions. We'll also post that information on the apachetas.org web site if you allow us to. We will not release this information in any other form without first getting your explicit permission to do so. Information not posted on the apachetas.org web site may be retained on our personal computers. We take reasonable and standard precautions to protect this data.

We obfuscate email addresses that are displayed on the apachetas.org web site to prevent spammers from harvesting them. However, we cannot guarantee that any email address you allow us to post will not be harvested.

Cookies

The apachetas.org web site does not currently use cookies. We may choose to use cookies in the future, perhaps to provide a "what's new" notice when you visit the web site. If we begin to use cookies, we will update this privacy notice to say so and to describe how they are used.

Tracking Mechanisms

The apachetas.org web site is hosted on a free Yahoo web site. The Yahoo web servers collect information about visitors to the apachetas.org web site. This information does not personally identify you.

Information that is made available by Yahoo to us is the type of browser and operating system you are using, and the URL of any web site that you used to gain access to apachetas.org. This information is not generally available to other people.

Please note that we do not know, and have no control over, how Yahoo uses this information.

You may see Yahoo-supplied pop-up or other advertising when you visit our site. We have no control over what is advertised, and we do not necessarily endorse any of the items that are advertised. It is possible that Yahoo advertising is collecting some non-personally identifiable information about your visit.
