A Tribute To The NICU Nurse Sarah Cecilia was born February 7, 1999 after a sudden placental abruption (40%).  Mom lost several hundred cc's of blood;  we are both very, very lucky to be here!  She weighed 3 pounds 10 ounces at birth, 17 1/4 inches, and was 32 4/7 weeks gestational age. She was allowed to be born naturally as she tolerated labor well.  Afterward, mom was allowed to hold her breifly before being taken to the NICU where she would spend the next 31 days.
