First off is my main guitar. I use my Parker Fly Deluxe as my main axe. It is so easy to play, very smooth. The DiMarzio humbuckers (based on the Tone Zone and Air Norton but specifically designed for the Parker's thin body) scream and respond well to picking dynamics. The Fishman piezo elements in the bridge are the added touch. It is a nice sounding option. Not a dead-on acoustic sound, but neither is an acoustic guitar with a piezo system. I use a Morley Bad Horsie II for my wah needs. Very reliable and you gotta love the switchless activation. Love this wah. Finally, there are my picks.(Man, I'm covering everything!!!) I use Dunlop Ultex picks, or if I feel like something with more bite then I will grab some Dunlop Jazz III XL's. I also have a Korg Pandora PX3 for headphone practicing. I will be getting some more goodies as finances permit. I have a whole other page dedicated to that topic. I have some other pages to check out so have some fun and check out some of the links. Especially the "awesome links" section You have nothing to lose. Be Blessed. |
My Main Guitar Influences All of these players are better than I could ever hope to be, and that is why they still keep me in awe when I hear them.
John Sykes
Dave Murray
He is, along with Timmons, my favorite guitarist. You can see where Zakk Wylde comes from. This guy has it all: singing, rythm work, soloing, song writing, the list goes on. He is THE MAN!!
Joe Satriani
The reason I picked up the guitar. He and Satch have had the BIGGEST influence on my palying (legato).
The guy who made me want to not only play more, but to try to do it with a vocal qyality.
Andy Timmons is amazing in all aspects of playing. The complete guitarist package. He has become one of my all-time favorite guitarists.
Andy Timmons
Nuno Bettencourt
The master of funk rock/metal. So much vibe and attitude. He makes the most basic things totally unique
Ty Tabor
I can't say enough about Ty. Is there a person who can write heavier riffs that groove and have so much melody? Maybe one day I'll be as cool as him.
Zakk Wylde
I love his aggressive style, his tone, and his pinch harmonics. His persona has become somewhat of a joke the last few years. That is why I am using a picture from what I consider to be his prime period. He is my benchmark for Ozzy guitarists.
