| "Bring!" the bell that ended last period finally rang. Chris and I walked to the door together and then went our seperate ways to our lockers. When I had finally stuffed my last book into my bag, I stood up and went to shut my locker door. What I didnt know was that Chris was standing on the other side of the door. "Boo!!!!" he yelled as I stumbled backwards not expecting it. "OMG!!!" I screamed as people turned their heads. "Ha! I told you I would get you back!" he said with a goofy look of victory on his face. "And you say I scream like a girl?? Look at you!" "Ya dont say!" I said sarcastically. "Well now that we are even, I got to get goin" I said walking slowly so that he would get the clue that i wanted him to walk with me. "So what bus do you go on? I dont go on a bus cuz i'm close enough to walk." he said sounding proud about it. "Cool! I dont ride the bus either! Thats weird" I said before i heard someone call my name. It was my best friend Tara who was running down the hall, late as usual. "Wait up!!" she yelled. "Well umm...i better get goin. See ya tomorrow?" Chris asked as he started walking away. "Huh? Yea bye..." i said as i turned to see him waving and mouthing "I'll call u!" (We had exchanged numbers in Reading). I waved and then turned back to see that Tara had finally caught up to me. As i looked at her, i realized she was smiling. "Whats that grin for? Did Mike finally notice that you do live on this planet?" I asked teasingly. "Do i smell love in the air??" She asked in a romantic voice and emphisizing the word love. "What?? Me n Chris? No way! He may be friggen hot n everythin but he has become one of my best friends!! Thats alll...for now..." I added smiling. "Ooooo!!! Admit it! You like the new kid!!" she yelled wicked loud. Thankgod most of the kids were gone. "Shut up!! Now come on, we have to go." I said as i started to walk out of the building. ~*10 minutes later*~ "So come on! Admit it! I am your best friend! You can tell me anything. So tell me!" Tara said for about the 50th time since we left school. We were almost at my house and i started to walk faster to get away from her. "For the last time, i dont like him!!! Ok? Why does it matter to you anyways?" I asked getting really annoied. "Calm down! The only reason i ask is becuz this would be your first crush! And since i am your best friend, it is my dutie to get you two together!" she said in a heroic attitude. "Ok, fine. So i like him ok? You happy now? But even if you did hook us up...wut about my parents?" i said "Well, we'll figure sumthin out! Eeeekkkk!!! This is so exciting! I am gunna make u two the ultimate couple!!!" she squealed. "yeah, yeah, yeah..." i said starting to jog home. ~*10 mins later*~ Lindsay and i had gone our seperate ways and i was almost home now. "i said this looks like a job for me, so everybody just follow me, cuz we need a little contravercy (sp?)" i sang as i was walkin up my front steps. Before i went inside, i looked over to the house next to me and sighed. That was the house my only other best friend had lived at. Now instead of seeing her waiting for me on her steps, i saw the moving truck moving the furniture in for the new owners. After standing there for a while i finally went inside and started my daily rutine. I emptied my lunchbox, grabbed my homework and headed upstairs to my room where i always did my homework. "Hi hunny, i was getting worried. You are later then usual." my mom said. She always got worried whenever i was like a minute late. I swear she thought i was supposed to work like clock work. "Mom, i am a minute later then usual...i was just watching the movers next door." i said getting upset again. "i am goin to my room to do my homework....bye" i said walkin past her into my room. As i was doing my homework, my cell rang. That was the one good thing i had. I picked it up and answered it Me- Hello? Other person- Hey u!! Me- Umm who is this? Other person- I feel offended! Me-O! hey chris! sry haha C- yea thats me! So wuts up? Me- the sky...well the ceiling...haha no um i'm just doin my home work...ugh!! C- haha same here! So...i was wondering if maybe u would like to get together on friday or sumthin... Me- Well umm I would love too but my parents probably would say no...they dont like me hangin out with guys C- O well then i guess we will just have to get them to say yes! Me- ya maybe i can introduce u to them sometime C- Ya that would be kewl...but hey my moms callin me. I gotta go meet the new neighbors ugh Me- haha dont sound to excited now...my moms callin me too so i'll ttyl then k? C-k byez bye Me- Buh bye! *click* We hung up and then i headed downstairs to meet the mistery ppl next door. When i got down there, my mom was talking to sum other older lady and sum guy. "Honey i would like u to meet our new neighbors...the Trousdales." my mother said. "Hello u must be Gabby. Nice to meet u" The older lady said shaking my hand. That last name sounded familiar but i just ignored it. "Hiya! nice to meet u too! And u would be??" I asked pointing to the guy. "Oh! My name is Ron. Nice to meet u" He said shaking my hand as well. "Yes this is my son. I have another one about ur age but he wouldnt get off the phone so i just called him over again." She said sounding a little annoied. All of a sudden the door swung open and... "Sorry mom!! i got another call an-" he looked at me dumbfounded. "GABBY?" "CHRIS?? You have got to be kidding me!! ahh!!" I yelled running up to him and giving him a big bear hug. He rapped his arms around me even tighter before we pulled apart. "Umm might i ask whats going on?" My mom sounded a little annoied about the fact that we looked so comfortable in eachothers arms. "Oh!" i said pulling away, "Mom this is Chris! He was the new kid at skool obviously and it just so happened that we are in all the same classes together and have become really good friends!" I said noticing that Chris had a smile just about as big as mine on. "Oh well then in that case, I guess you two wouldnt mind staying home alone together while i show Mrs. Trousdale and Ron the city?" I couldnt believe my mom was actually lettin me stay home alone! Not to mention with a boy! "Are you serious mom?? Thanx! But wheres dad and AJ (my bro)?" "Your brother is at his tutoring sesion and ur dad is workin very late tonite. We should be bak around 11 or so. Heres some money to order pizza if you want it." I still couldnt believe it! "OK! Well bye byeee!!" i said pushing them all out the door. Before Ron left i heard him whisper to Chris. "Now remember! Your only 13!" He said laughing. "Shut up and get out of here! lol" Chris said while laughing also. He closed the door faced me and just raised an eyebrow causing me to laugh. O boy...a whole nite alone...with him... |
