CHAPTER 6 *This is gonna be from the time when Greg goes looking for Emily* ~Gregs POV~ Ugh, this whole day has been hell. No, more like this whole last month. First we find out that Frankie has had a sister, who he never knew about. He's always talked about how being an only child had it's privileges, but he wished he had a sister who he could bug, or stick up for when she gets in trouble with a guy. Ever since, his dad told him about Emily he had been in a daze. Claudia (Dream Street's Choreographer) noticed it, because he kept messing up during rehearsal. One thing that all of us were afraid of was if the fans would notice, but I think he knew enough to put on a happy face. None of them suspected anything was wrong. I remember Mr.Galassosaying that Emily was a fan, but I was glad she didn't act all nice and friendly just because her brother was famous. Jess was right, if you weren't from around here you shouldn't be out when it was dark. I saw groups of people starting to gather and I figured that I should find her as soon as possible. "Where the hell could she be?" I thought to my self. I walked to the end of the beach and the only thing that was in the way was a huge pile of rocks. I was about to turn away when I saw someone sitting at the top. *~back to 3rd person POV~* "Emily?" Greg called out, but no one answered. As the street lights turned on, he saw that it was her. He climbed up the rocks and sat next to her. "Do you ever wonder if there's a place where everything is OK? No pain or confusion. Everything is just the way it should be" Emily said having the same look on her face that Frankie had earlier. "As weird as it sounds, yeah" Greg said and looked straight ahead "I come here when I need to think. You know, if I was in a fight with my Mom, bad day at school, or in this case finding out I'm not an only child" Emily said looking at him for the first time. Greg noticed the sadness in her eyes. He also noticed that she didn't look that much like Frankie. Yeah she could pass for his sister, but she had green eyes, brown straight hair, was fairly tall, and skinny. "Is really that bad having a brother, or finding out you have a brother?" Greg asked looking at her. "It's not that. It's the fact that my Mom never told me about Frankie, or even that I had a brother. Hell, she never even told me that she still talked to Jack" Emily said and going back to her daze "I can't say I know what your going through right now, but I think that you should give it a chance, and who knows maybe you'll even like our little Frankie someday" Greg said trying to get her to smile. It worked. She smiled a little, cause he called Frankie 'little'. Yeah he was taller than him, but he as older. "See that's what I like to see" Greg said referring to the smile. "Yeah I haven't done that in a while" Emily said and smiled "You know what? I think I'll take your advice. I've been sitting here for the last hour and thinking if I should give this whole thing a chance. And I came up with a decision" Emily said looking him in the eyes again. "What's your decision?" Greg asked "I'm gonna give Frankie a chance. I mean, he wasn't the one who lied to me. Right?" Emily asked and Greg gave her a nod in acknowledgment. "OK, lets go" Emily said, got up and offered him her hand. He smiled, took it, and got up also. Greg was the first one to climb down, so in return he offered his hand to her as she jumped down. She took it and stood in front of him. She noticed how cute he really was, and to top everything of he was nice and a gentleman. (Back to first person POV) I moved in closer and gave him a soft kiss. I knew that this wasn't the time or the place, but I still did it. At first he responded and wrapped his arms around my waist, but then pulled away. "Look, Emily. I like you and all, but not in that way" He said and I took a step back. I couldn't believe I did that, when all he was trying to do was nice and help me decide what to do. For all I knew he could have had a girlfriend. "No, I'm sorry" I said apologizing "It's not....." He started but I cut him off "No, it's my fault I shouldn't have done that. Can we just forget about it, and go home? Please?" I asked hopefully. "Sure, lets go" He responded and we headed in the direction of my house. |
