How does one truly represent an individual?

A photograph is as accurate as they come in portraiture. But not only can it not display one's inner self, it is only a representation of the person at the single moment it was taken. Their biography, perhaps, with its broader scope of time, can represent a person's life in interests and achievements, but personality is hardly shown through it. A blog, of sorts, could hold the key to representing one's inner self as it is a view into one's personal thoughts. However, this type of journal is consciously edited to show only the image the individual wants to display. As an artist, the individual puts themselves into their work, so their art becomes a small representation of their self. But yet again, it is not their whole being.

So perhaps a true representation may only be achieved through the combination of all of these.
